There were some really nice people working at the reception, but the lockers all didn't work, we asked in the morning at the check out if we could stay until 11pm at the hostel because our bus departed at midnight. In the morning they said this would be no problem, sadly at 9pm they told us that we would have to leave at 10pm, because it wasn't allowed to stay that long, even tough we were not bothering anyone.
Most of the rooms are street facing with no sound proof windows, you can hear people and cars all the time. Even worse, the car noises are so loud that your bed wobble and this happens AT BEST up until 2 AM and from 6 AM onwards. You will get no sleep. The location is close to a Meal Center for homeless people and they will be lining up just 2 blocks away. You will not feel safe. In the end, you will have the full hobo experience, sleep on the street and walk around with other homeless peo...
I arrived Matilda at 6am (after a night bus from Floripa). I buzzed their gate, waiting in the dark empty streets with all my bags and keen to get to safety. However, the ‘24/7’ reception refused to open the gate until 7am. I explained I had a reservation and asked if I could at least sit in their courtyard until sunrise. Alas, they insisted I wait 1 hour outside on the sidewalk until precisely 7am. So, I Ubered to the nearby Social Hostel, who – despite no booking – me with open arms!
it's alright for the price. I booked the private room and unfortunately it's between a very busy road and the dining/kitchen area so a bit noisy. had to walk through the social spaces to get to the bathrooms. wasn't clear whether there were guests other than the staff/volunteers staying. no breakfast/events and the staff wouldn't let me leave luggage overnight for anything less than the price of a bed. bit disappointing but cheap I suppose.
pretty boring, and the staff was really boring and stiff. Don't come here and expect any fun. But good for sleeping I guess
No pude usar el hostel, mi viaje sufrio un retraso y llegué al hostel a las 5 am pero nadie me recibió. Tuve que buscar otro lugar.
Quite loud from common room. Pretty OK area. The sounds from the roads are loud and the beds shake when a truck or something drives by, but if you’re not super sensitive it isn’t bad. Kitchen could use an upgrade.
Staff were nice, room and bathrooms were clean. We came off season so it was very quiet, seemed like, other than the staff, we were the only ones staying there. Kitchen facilities are ok but limited.
Really nice hostel great staff. It's right in the historical center and quite easy to go to other sites in curitiba. It's modern with a comfy bed and decent bathrooms. our only issue was with small bugs in certain food cupboards meaning we had to bin some of our food we'd only bought the previous day.
Decent stay and kitchen. My main issue is there is no air con and only a small fan in the room, the room also faced the outside street creating noise and leaving only metal bars between the room and the street meaning anyone could look in

Nice hostel
The staff were amazing! Maria and Cloe made me feel so welcome and were super helpful in making my trip very special. I miss them already! Also a great location close to a lot of sights and transportation! I’m excited to come back to this hostel and see the updates they were working on! It really feels like a place that can be a home away from home! :)
I stayed in a two bed room which was a rare find. The bed was huge and comfortable. The hostel is located near lots of bars and restaurants and it’s lovely to be able to hear the samba parties from my bedroom. Would have liked to stay longer. It’s a super chill hostel that is gated so always felt safe.

I felt very comfortable at the hostel. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. I had a single room, which was perfectly sufficient. My window faced a busy intersection, so it was quite loud at night (cars, people, etc.). I suppose that’s the downside of being in a central location.
We enjoyed our stay at Matilda, even been able to extend. Pros : Staff is very nice and the place is very clean. They give you a map of the city and they help you for everything. We felt safe and welcoming. Cons : Our rooms were facing the street and not insulated so it was very loud, no activities provided (it was low season). The bathroom in the room ensuite face the street with the window, would be nice to put a window blurry filter.
Great location, helpful staff member with Ken who spoke really good English. Really nice bathroom and clean bedrooms
Very nice place overall

Nice hostel within walking distance to central Curitiba.
Excelente ubicación, personal amable e instalaciones cómodas.
Everyone in the Hostel was super nice! We had a great time. The Hostel was very clean, the kitchen was in good shape and the rooms were nice. All in all a 10/10 experience. Travelling as two women I’ve rarely felt this safe in a hostel. The vibes were immaculate. Keven is the funniest person you will ever meet.
Exímio!!
Tudo perfeito. Atendimento, instalação, limpeza e localização ótimos.
