When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a terrible stench on the doorstep. Later, we were surprised that the toilet and shower are generally in the corridor, the washbasin is located in the corridor near some dirty rag-curtain. They also note that they have their own parking, but in fact you have to leave the car on the road or look for parking for an additional fee. Despite the fact that this hotel was prepaid in advance, we did not stay here and went to another hotel. By the way, the hotel manager refused to refund the money. Even if it were free, I would not stay here.

- One of the staff was incredibly rude to me on the last day When I pay $550 to stay in the hotel section, I should not have to clean my plate. For people staying the $140 dorm I understand. I didn't and went to check out. She then came and tattled on me to reception, I said that is not the way to speak to a guest and that I would leave a review

- Chambre triple avec salle de bain privative dans un autre bâtiment, très glauque à rénover entièrement et surtout beaucoup de bruit de ventilation et les tuyaux d’eau au plafond bruyants on sait quand quelqu’un prend une douche ou va aux toilettes ! Nous n’avons que très peu dormi! Petit déjeuner impossible car pas de place pour s’installer ! pas de parking donc faut payer un parking en plus.

+ Le petit déjeuner est super et il est très facile de rencontrer des gens, le personnel est aussi très agréable.

- C’est assez aberrant mais je devais reprendre une nuit là bas pour ma fin de séjour donc j’ai évidemment réserver dans cette même auberge. Mais j’ai annulé 48h avant ma réservation mais l’établissement ne fait pas de remboursement même si booking vous dit que si donc méfiez vous et ne vous trompez pas dans vos dates car vous vous retrouverez à payer 56$ pour rien !!! De plus les équipements de douches sont assez vieillot donc une douche sans lumière.

+ Le petit-déjeuner était bon, la cuisine très propre, avec deux jeunes filles très gentilles qui servaient les invités. Plusieurs salles de bain avec de bonnes douches agréables. Internet assez rapide.

- Notre chambre était étouffante car la climatisation était éteinte et aucune télécommande n’était fournie. Lorsque j’ai demandé de l’aide, le manager a réagi de manière agressive, m’a dit de partir si je n’étais pas satisfait et a même menacé d’appeler la police. Quelqu’un nommé Carl, qui est le propriétaire, a d’abord soutenu son employé, mais lorsque j’ai décidé de quitter l’établissement, il s’est excusé tardivement pour l’incident. J’ai finalement quitté l’établissement en contactant le service client de Booking pour leur signaler l’incident. Expérience très désagréable, je me suis senti mal à l’aise et non respecté. Comme l’immeuble est situé à côté de la rue Sherbrooke, une rue très passante, il est difficile de dormir, même avec des bouchons d’oreilles. Les chambres sont situées au deuxième et troisième étage, ce qui peut être difficile, surtout pour les personnes âgées. Même moi, à 50 ans, j’ai ressenti de la fatigue après avoir monté les 30 marches jusqu’au troisième étage. Les lits du haut n’ont pas de barrière de sécurité, et si vous êtes quelqu’un qui bouge beaucoup pendant le sommeil, il y a un risque de chute.

- I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the experience I had at your accommodation. Upon arrival, I found that the rooms did not match the photos advertised. I encountered old, rusty bunk beds with an unclean appearance, as well as extremely small or communal bathrooms, both unsuitable for comfortable use. In addition, when I was assigned to a mixed dormitory, I was faced with three men who harassed me, asking for money and making intimate questions. This situation was both distressing and unsafe, which led me to leave the room immediately. I requested a private room, but the receptionist was rude and informed me that there was no availability. Considering that I did not stay in the room and that my spot was likely given to another guest due to the alleged overbooking, I am requesting a full refund of the amount paid. I would not want anyone else to go through a similar situation. The experience was extremely unpleasant, unsafe, and frustrating, and I do not recommend this establishment. They acted in bad faith. I paid for something I never even used!

I tried to change or cancel the room, but it was impossible. The reception doesn't have the authority to resolve the issue, and the manager and owner are nowhere to be found. The result was having to pay for another apartment. The place is horrible and smelly.

- Eine Jugendherberge für € 250.- die Nacht, mit Etagenbad (man teilt sich Bad und WC mit anderen Mitbewohnern) ist eine Frechheit. Dass das Personal kaum Englisch spricht ist in dieser präpotent frankophonen Stadt scheinbar üblich.

+ L’emplacement est super, au milieu de tout. Le personnel est unique, chaleureux, bienveillant et plein de bon conseil ! Le petit déjeuner est top, avec les fameux pancakes au rendez vous )J’ai essayé d’avoir la recette du chef, sans succès). Nous y retournerons à notre prochain voyage à Montréal.

+ Accueil du personnel au top !! l''emplacement est très bien et l'Auberge très chaleureuse ! La chambre en famille très bien aussi ! Le petit déjeuner avec pancake... superbe ! Bref... je recommande sans hésitation !!

- The bunk beds: if you choose the lower one, there is not enough space for an adult and you have to bend and be all curled in order to sit. Some guests did not have bathroom etiquette.

+ Really lovely staff and incredible location! Accommodations exceeded expectations and the free breakfast was a great touch. Would absolutely stay again if visiting Montreal!

+ Adorámos a nossa estadia no Auberge du Plateau. Sentimo-nos logo muito bem recebidos, todos os funcionários foram super simpáticos, quase como se estivéssemos em casa! O pequeno almoço é muito bom (excelentes panquecas) e o espaço comum é muito agradável. O nosso quarto (quarto de casal com casa de banho privativa) era numa porta ao lado, tendo de sair do edifício principal, mas muito sossegado.
