Youth Hostel Larochette

Awful experience. We arrived at 23:00, unaware check-in closed at 22:00—no prior notice, not even in the same-day confirmation email. The person I called offered no help, just told us to go elsewhere, then threatened to call the police. He was even in the building. We had to book an expensive airport hotel last-minute. Worst experience in all my travels. I’ll be requesting a refund and compensation.

Pathetic is a small word! The most awful experience I have ever had! The hostel did not open the door for us. Yes, they did not open the door for us in the cold winter night! We spent the entire night in cold without any facility! Imagine the senior citizens spending entire night in the cold!!! It's unimaginable but we have experienced it only because of the generosity of this hostel! This is the worst ever place and they showed the worse ever behavior that night.

Vriendelijk ontvangst. Ondanks de onfrisse geur was de kamer wel proper. Ook douches en WC waren proper. Het ontbijt was ondermaats. Slechts 1 soort (wit) droog brood. Ik miste yoghurt of fruit en iets voedzaam om aan de wandeltocht te beginnen. Er was telkens maar 1 persoon aanwezig die zowel de keuken als het onthaal moest bedienen. Beide situeren zich in 2 aparte gebouwen, dus echt onhandig om dan maar 1 persoon te voorzien.

Le robinet dans la chambre coulait sur un filet d’eau. Les chaises dans la salle à manger font beaucoup de bruit quand on les déplace. Le petit déjeuner n’est pas très copieux (pas de choix) . La carte pour ouvrir la chambre devrait éteindre toutes les lampes et les allumer quand on y rentre. (Question de domotique) Les petits meubles dans le jardin sont mignons et invitent à leur utilisation. La petite poutre qui amène dans le fond du parking et qui enjambe le petit ruisseau est bien...

Het blijft onbegrijpelijk dat het lijkt dat het kraanwater het meest kostbare is. Een onmogelijk klein straaltje om je te douchen. Ondanks de fatsoenlijke kamers is het gebouw erg gehorig. Ga voor een fatsoenlijke maaltijd naar een nabijgelegen restaurant. Het eigen restaurant heeft wel een erg karige kaart. Punt voor heel veel zgn. Jeugdherbergen is dat er geen handdoek is inbegrepen. Verkeerde zuinigheid als je wel een redelijke prijs in rekening brengt voor het verblijf.

Minpunt: ontbijt kan basic zijn gezien de prijs, maar sommige dingen waren onvoldoende vers, ook bijzonder weinig keuze. Bijvoorbeeld een basic broodroostertje zou het droge brood aan ontbijt wat kunnen opwaarderen.

Very quiet hostel, good for a relaxing/recharging stop in travels. Showers were annoying because you had to keep pressing a button for water. Walls were very thin which meant you could hear a lot.

Dans une rue calme. Propre et confortable. Le son résonne pas mal. Seul le débit des douches est à revoir.

Les deux dames de l'accueil (matin et Soir) étaient formidables !! Par contre le jet des douches communes n'est pas du tout assez fort, j'espère que cela sera réglé... Niveau sécurité plutôt bon mais je pense qu'il est possible d'en faire un peu plus, d'avoir plus de sas à badger notamment le couloir, après l'entrée, et que les toilettes soit protégés également par des badges

Personnel aux petits soins et toujours avec le sourire. Propreté des sanitaires et dortoirs. Top. Belle adresse .

It was my first time in a hostel and I really enjoyed it. I booked a personal room which was definitely value for money. Very nice personnel. Also nice they had a secured area to store my bike. Basic breakfast but good enough for me.

The location is quite far from Luxembourg City. Even though transportation is available, they are not on time most of the time. Also, commuting at night might be complicated for you, as the buses and trains don't go that late. Despite of this, the staff are the best part of the hostel. They are very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Facilities are nice as well. Overall, if you don’t mind traveling for one hour or more from the city centre, this place is definitely worth it.

Heerlijk hostel in een mooi stadje. Vriendelijk behulpzaam personeel. Heel schoon. Tips: hang een lijst op met het weekmenu voor het avondeten. Zou fijn zijn als je overdag de mogelijkheid had om gekookt theewater te tappen en er een kraan zou met koud water (om drinkflesjes te vullen) . Op de kamers alleen maar warm water

Wij komen zeker terug! (En zijn dan hopelijk op tijd voor voldoende en vlot stromend warm water in de douche ;))

Good youth hostel with friendly workers. It s a pitty that there is not enough water in the showers and the water is falling too near by the wall.

Lovely and beautiful hostel. Obviously it's in the middle of nowhere so expect more of a quiet atmosphere than a social one, but the town it's in is gorgeous and there's plenty of hiking to do in the surrounding area.
