Lay Day Hostel Canggu

Our room was in terrible condition. Literally, I cut my back on while standing up on my bed. The doors were noisy. And their decision on the volunteers is terrible. One of their volunteers, a blonde girl, came to my room drunk and said something about the toilet and threatened me. She said I work here, so I can do whatever I want. But their staff that work on the main lobby is amazing.

Welcoming staff. Private rooms on separate property that's a 5-minute walk. Defeats the purpose of staying at a hostel and feels isolating. My room looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time, apart from the bed being made. Small dead bugs on the bed, a dead cockroach in the shower, dust and rust everywhere, on a noisy street. Egregiously over-price. 10m for a week is insane for this. I explained all this to the staff, and the owners only offered a 5% discount. Get a villa instead.

Not good service and very rude staff. We had bloodstains on the sheets. Our flight sent at 8am and we wanted to check out at 6am and they Said the reception was not Open Yet so we could not check out. It did not make sense to not check out early in a hostel where there is many backpackers. We did not get our payment back. Lucky for us we did not leave our passport there, which you have to if you want to use a braiclet to pay with (only cash). Very bad and complicared systems there.

El sito estaba muy bien, simplemente que me robaron mi mochila en el hostel, dejé mi mochila en mi parte de la habitación, en la cama y con las persianas cerradas, cuando volví de comer ya no estaba la mochila, les pedí que mirasen las cámaras para que me diesen una solución y me dijeron que lo mirarían mañana, esperé a mañana, y ese día justo me iba de la isla, al final me cojieron los datos y me dijeron que mirarían las cámaras. Not as expected and was not as per the description and photos shown on the app

The security was too bad they pushed uss without any reason the bar staff was good. The beds and washroom were broken the only good part is that the food is good other rhan that there are not enough people staying here it’s almost empty. I would not suggest you incase you are not getting anything like lushy hostel.

Upon arrival we witnessed a funny smell in the dorm room, on inspection I discovered that my pillow had patches of black mould and when I asked for a replacement I received another pillow with mould until I further reported this and got a new pillow- I witnessed staff take the new pillow for a vacant bed and replace it with the mouldy pillow as a problem for someone else. Aircon was not working properly and woke up in a very muggy room each morning.Perfect hostel if you are just looking to party

First of all, it is not mentioned but the private rooms are in a completely separate property, away from the main hostel. Secondly the ac and shower didnt work. Even after many complaints they couldnt fix them. Basically paid for a shitty hotel room and didnt get any of the hostel experience

I think it’s a good hostel except the bartender.I stayed here for two nights.The last night when I told other guest I was leaving tomorrow and would move to other hostel the male bartender heard our talk and threatened to my female friend in a joke way and share shots to everyone ignoring me on purpose.he was upset because I mentioned other hostel.I felt so confused.you should be careful if you will leave because you will be not welcome.that male young thin bartender has a hoarse voice

I enjoyed my stay as I had so many friendly staff help me. I really liked the games that offered as well. Nayya, Aldo, Alit, Izzy, Kitty, and Annabelle were really nice

This place is incredible! Everyone is so kind! I had the best time staying there!

Izzy, kitty and all the staff were great and made our stay very pleasant. Will definitely come back and also try Lay Day Uluwatu.

Had a great stay at Lay Day, would definitely come back! Just wouldn’t recommend the deluxe rooms unless you want to be in a separate quieter area.

My experience with Lay Day was really amazing. Such a cool vibes this hostel has. Nice food, amazing pool and top of all amazing staff and volunteers. Sterre, Anna, Funny, Aldo, Giska all were such an amazing people that you can never forget their amazing company and their smiling faces. If you dont stay at Lay Day, you will surely miss the real vibe of canggu.

Everyone was very friendly and had a good atmosphere.

I had a great time in Layday Hostel in Canggu the staff was really nice and the rooms where clean. Ali, Naya and Eric wher really cool and friendly. Its a good partyhostel witz many events.
