The Swell

Would give a 1 star rating if possible. I’ve been travelling for over 5 years now and this was the worst I’ve ever been spoken to by anyone over the whole period. The manager laughed in our face and became aggressive when asked if we could check out early and get a 50% refund for our unused nights due to the extremely loud noise from construction and festival-goers. Also room was full of bugs and hostel doesn’t look like picture anymore due to being surrounded by construction sites.

Hostel rooms are really mouldy. They close the rooms off with no AC when no one is staying in them. Of course it's going to be full of mould you can see it on the beds and a lot of surfaces have remnants of it. Atmosphere for a hostel is largely nonexistent, not many people staying there. The resturant and pool is used a lot by expats staying in the area rather than hostel guests. The resturant while a little expensive it totally worth it though.

I arrived at 6pm when check in was at 2 - which left plenty of time for my room to be ready. When I arrived I was asked to wait while they get ready, 20 minutes pass and I am taken to my room where my bed is not vacant. I am then taken into the next room and given a bed when I realise it is a mixed dorm when I booked all female. When I rose this concern I was told they’ll just clean the other bed quickly for me. At this point I just had had enough and wanted out. Was a bit disappointing.

Het personeel spreekt niet heel goed Engels en daardoor is er helaas veel miscommunicatie. Ook zien ze je over het hoofd als je bij de horeca staat of bij de receptie. Veel bestellingen/ vragen/ mededelingen worden vergeten en je moet vaak lang wachten. Ze proberen wel heel erg hun best te doen. De locatie is erg mooi. Ondergaande zon op het terras en mooie natuur voor omgeving van Canggu.

Zweier Zimmer können wir empfehlen (für Baliverhältnisse aber eher teuerer, ebenso das Essen). Tanah Lot war fußläufig zu erreichen, schöner Strand in der Nähe, Infinity Pool war top. Etwas abgelegener, hat aber nach der langen Anreise nach Bali gut gepasst. Für den Schlafsaal gab es keinen Schlüssen, weshalb wir uns nachts nicht so sicher gefühlt haben, da der Eingang zu den Zimmern nah an der Straße war und für jeden zugänglich. Il dormitorio era abbastanza sporco. A un certo punto della notte hanno messo una signora ubriaca che non era ospite a dormire con noi.

Perfekte Unterkunft um abzuschalten und sich dem Trouble zu entziehen. Wenn man doch was erleben will ist man auf einen Roller angewiesen. Einziges Manko: Unterkunft ist in Tabanan und nicht wie angegeben in Canggu.

Close to a nice sunset spot (beach love) and surf spot. 25 min ride away from Canggu but knew this already so that's okay. Not very social. Staff is nice but tends to be forgetful about minor requests like "no ice". Overall nice stay but was very disappointing to be asked smth like 100.000 or 200.000 when I asked if I can check out 1 hour later.

I choose swell particularly to be away from the rush of chenggu town. The location is very close to beaches and tanah lot temple. The staff is friendly and the sunrise view from room is awesome. The only complaint though is that the bathroom had a smell even after using the exhaust system for long periods.

Schöne Unterkunft sehr nah am Strand! Perfekt, wenn man surfen gehen möchte oder den Sonnenuntergang beobachten. Das Personal ist super lieb und hilft einel immer weiter! Da ein Reisfeld nebenan ist, gibt es viele Moskitos. Mit der Klimaanlage hält es sich in Grenzen :) absolute Weiterempfehlung!

Really nice hostel if you want peace from crowds. The beach is only five minutes away by walking and it’s perfect for learning how to surf! The staff is friendly and helpful! Food was great and we loved the pool. I really recommend the hostel for someone who likes chill and surf!

Great hostel, comfy beds, pool bar, very friendly staff, close to the beach, cute cafes around, we had a good stay. just the toilets didn’t work properly. but it is on a field, so sanitary infrastructure might be better in the future

Pretty great stay. is more Kind of Hotel Flair with an Open Restaurant. but IT IS far away from the big Bali Trouble. the beach ist 5 Minutes of Walking away. you will need some Scooter to get around but the Hostel offers some for rent.

C’est un hostel loin du lourd trafic de Canggu (20min environ). On est à 5 min à pied de la plage “love beach” pour vos meilleurs sunset et une belle plage pour vos cours de surf avec prof particulier 2h 400K vraiment trop bien ! Des Warung pas cher sur la plage (25k), rent motorbike sur place pour 80K/j. Laundry C’est propre, chaleureux, l’équipe est incroyable! Je n’ai fait que extend, c’est vraiment pour chill et c’est calme. Donc si vous cherchez à vous poser un peu c’e...

Ben je op zoek naar een rustig, luxe hostel buiten Canggu, dan is dit iets voor jou! Relatief nieuw hostel, rustig, heel fijn zwembad en super aardig personeel. Wel ver van Canggu (25 min met de scooter). Op vijf minuten lopen van het strand.

Really lovely and relaxing stay! Staff are super helpful and friendly! Would recommend if you are looking for a very chilled zen spot to stay! ☺️☺️

Kedungu is a tresure to discover and cannot think about better place to stay! Amazing team and amazing dogs passing by!

Top notch hostel

The hostel is very nice, very clean, and has a very pleasant atmosphere. It is very close to a nice sunset spot (Love Beach) and close to a beach suitable for surfing that is not crowded. The location is quite far from Canggu city, but if you are looking for a more relaxed and less crowded area, it’s perfect! If you rent a scooter, it is a 20-minute ride to Canggu (so still manageable). The staff is very helpful and super friendly. Would definitely come again :)

Amazing place with an amazing price! Only downside was the bugs at night. Since the location is near rice pads it’s not they’re fault. Would recommend it

World class Hostel! Shoutout to Dea and her team for making my stay enjoyable. Really clean toilets with hot showers as well. Great location of you’re in Kedungu to surf.

Excellent stay at the hostel, lovely staff, lovely food and very clean.
