Havelock City Hostel Colombo

- On a trouvé des punaises de lit dans notre chambre… On est parti en urgence le soir et les gérants ont acceptés de nous rembourser. Ils n’avaient pas l’air étonné du problème… ils m’ont également proposé de revenir dormir dans l’hôtel gratuitement pour s’excuser mais j’ai bien peur que toutes les chambres soient dans le même état. Je sais que l’hostel est géré dans un but associatif et que mon commentaire peut mettre en péril leur activité mais je ne peux pas ne pas faire comme s’il n’y avait pas eu ces punaises de lit.

- A homeless woman verbally attacked me in the women’s dorm! I think she was mentally unstable . Very strange people (and mostly Sri Lankans ) staying here. I do not recommend this place to foreigners.

+ Staff was nice.

- First of all, the place looks almost nothing like in the pictures. The sheets are very very thin and the AC is always very cold but without AC it's really hot. The bathrooms were not very clean. The wifi doesn't work when its raining. Also, they seemed to have failed to mention that the hostel is only one floor in a office building for a anti drug information centre and a ciggerette addiction centre. Therefore, you cannot smoke *anywhere* within the limits of the property, which means that at night if you want to smoke, you have to wake someone up to open 2 doors and a gate to go outside. It claims to be a budget room, but for the price, not worth it at all.

- Po wejściu do pokoju przywitał nas gekon, który szybko ukrył się gdzieś za zasłoną, do tego w środku panował brzydki zapach, a na ścianie był grzyb

- 2 nuits avec bruits non stop , wifi dans la chambre nul . Douche froid ,vous demandez une 2eme petite bouteille d'eau, 1 pour 2 nuits ,non il demande de l'acheter

+ zakwaterowanie godzinę wcześniej, niska cena

- wygląd zupełnie nie przypominający pokoju ze zdjęć, poplamiony obrusik na stole, brudna, śmierdząca łazienka, grzyb na ścianach, pajęczyny, odpływ do prysznica był w rzeczywistości dziurą w ścianie. Brzydziliśmy się dotykać czegokolwiek. Odradzam, spójrz na zdjęcia.

- Nos alojamos en este hostel durante una noche y la verdad que respecto a las habitaciones deja muchísimo que desear parecen sacadas de cuéntame con mobiliario viejo y colchones con el espesor de un papel de fumar. Sin embargo el personal es súper amable sobretodo la chica de recepción.

+ Fairly ok. Rooms are full with beds. No any space inside the room. But location is good. A/C is ok. Also hostel is clean.

+ It is cheap and convenient if you are going with your friends. The staff were helpful.

+ Everything about the hotel, from the staff to the location to the rooms, was excellent. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Colombo.

- Shared facilities but that's what I paid for so not complaining

+ Overall they have thought of all the facilities a traveller could need. The place is centrally located, really safe and clean, overall. Fridge, plates, cutlery, microwave and the AC was new and great!!

- The ONLY less than really clean feature was the double bed in the family room, it was a little musty, nothing that an airing wouldn't fix!. Hot water hmmmm wasn't really working but I didn't mind as it is so hot these days!
