Mycocoon Hostel Mykonos

Place was NOT as advertised. I booked a single room where the door didn’t lock and the bed was dirty. I left immediately and went elsewhere

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best time at this location, there was human poo on the tower that I used, straight from the laundry where they told me to go from, they offer me a free coffee for the mishaps which I thought was ridiculous, would not recommend

I do not recommend staying here. We arrived to our room and instantly left to find a hotel. The room had not been cleaned in some time. There was bedding still from previous travelers, and garbage and dirt all over the room, which smelled incredibly disgusting. We walked around trying to find people and two other rooms were left open with no one in them, they were equally bad. There was no toilet paper in our rooms either. I would not stay here unless you are really desperate, might be better ...

At approximately 7:23AM in the morning we were woken up by a steady stream of water and we then noticed a leak coming from somewhere in the ceiling or wall. We moved all of our things out of that area near the bed and the wall and into the shower because it was dry. All of our things were soaked including all clothes and a passport. We checked out at 11AM and I emailed the manager at 1:24PM requesting a full refund but have gotten no response so far.

We understand that this city is expensive, but having rooms with no window should be illegal, specially for this price!

The staff were very rude and seemed annoyed and arrogant. We booked a private twin suite room, and it’s the worst hostel room I’ve ever had. The door to the room is glass and has a 3 cm gap all around it, therefore making it impossible to sleep, because you can hear absolutely everything going on. In the room there wasn’t a door to the toilet. Also no place for storing luggage. I’ve visited a lot of hostels all over the world and this is the most expensive and worst of all.

I was trying to contact this hostel for months now because they charged me weeks before I was supposed to be there and did not receive any notice of this happening. I read terrible reviews of this place that we ended up staying at another place and didn’t even come to this hostel. They charged me a very different amount than my friend as well. Very dissatisfied with the quality of service

It was disgusting. The shower was overflowing, so the whole room was wet. It looked so disgusting, like it wasn't cleaned in months. There were blood stains on the bed. No communal area. Not friendly. The reception was closed even though I booked and was on time. I called, nobody picked up the phone. Door was kind of broken. I book three night, and went away after one, because the boat did not go again that day. Do not go here.

Booked a four night stay but i left early because i found bed bugs in my bed in the dorm 206 i thinkit was its the first one on the bottom across from reception. They washed all my clothes for free but i was no longer comfortable. After i was moved to another room they still checked new ppl into the room i just left that was infected by bed bugs

Staff go above and beyond here! Would reccomend 100%

My only complaints are how gross the showers are. Moldy and no hot water during off season. Curtains would also be ideal but I sure my towel as one reception was accommodating and location is prime. The pool area is probably great I’m the summer which a lovely view

Style-wise this hostel is really interesting and pretty. But the management of it is quite clumsy - or lacking. There is not an available receptionist, and by chance I got the phone number to call for check in.

Excellent experience in there! Everything perfect. Extremely clean place,lovely decoration,good location and room comfy and cozy! Just sad I missed the pool unfortunately. Had a good time and I definitely highly recommend it,I’ll come back for sure!

Had a great stay here but it was the end of the season so very quiet. Super clean, lovely staff, pool and outdoor area was a nice place to socialise, excellent location, bed super comfortable and nice to have a towel. Only downside is there is no kitchen facilities which makes it harder if you’re staying for a longer time. The rooms are also tiny and top bunk very high but since it was quiet it wasn’t that bad

Location was nice, the pool is lovely, and the staff is ok. The bathroom is a little dirty with mold and the shower is tiny and water gets everywhere. The doors have big gaps so you can peep into the rooms a bit. Overall serves a good purpose if it is a quick trip.

Great facilities, beds are pretty comfy and the rooms are really nice and clean.

Had a great stay!! Definitely an easy place to meet and go out with people. The shared hostel room feels like love island vibes was so much fun. The pool and hang out area is lovely! It’s close to everything!! Felt really safe had a great time would highly recommend!!

One of the best hostels I've stayed in due to the amazing view from the pool and common space (great to meet peopl)! They even had a DJ some nights and a free walking tour. Great location near the main city and a beach. Close to a bus, taxi, car hire and a place to buy water etc. Although lots of space is provided for luggage under the bed in the shared room, it was difficult with space given there isn't much room to open your bag except for using your bed. 10/10 would recommend.

Only come to this hostel if you are on a really short budget and travelling alone. Otherwise, it is not a good experience. No kitchen at all, not even a spoon. Reception closes at around 20hs, and the common area, which is the only good thing about this place, closes at 11. Rooms are small, showers and toilets in shared rooms have no place to hang anything, no privacy at all. Private rooms "my capsules" have no windom, smell like sewage, and you can ser through the door to the Hall.

Lovely place, very creative. It’s a bit of a walk from the port. So it was a hike to bring my luggage but the place was comfortable and nice. The staff could be nicer, I found them dry and unfriendly.

We had a great stay at mycocoon! While the private room was small, it was very comfortable and we used the pool multiple times

Great hostel. The pool was an extra added bonus. Staff were friendly and always helpful.

Great hostel, had a nice outdoor communal area and pool with lovely views of Mykonos old port. Waking distance from a bus stop that takes you to the airport and new port. Everyone is given a locker to store their belongings. Only thing missing is a hairdryer.

Lovely place to stay, right on the main road, taxi can drop you off. Do not have to walk to your hotel with luggage. Also, great view from their pool!!

I had a private room and it was very clean and comfortable in a great location with nice pool area. Only let down was no fridge in common area.

Excellent hostel more open than the usual one but people are there for the vibe and every Day/night you will find something to do. Easy Check in/out. Loved it

MyCocoon was perfect as a solo traveller, nice area for people to mingle and the rooms were clean and relatively private for sharing. Would highly recommend
