The Venue Hostel

Location is only good if you need to be close to the train station. Otherwise everything is far away. The female 4 is really really small and really noisy.

Estuve en una habitación de 6, habitacion N. 4. El baño es demasiado pequeño, la ducha imposible de ajustarle la temperatura y muy fuerte con lo cual es baño siempre estaba mojado y sucio. Las chicas de limpieza entran a las 10am con la radio a todo volumen y te despiertan. Es el único hostel que me ha pasado algo así. Con un poco más de precaución este hostel tiene mucho potencial.

The staff was friendly, other than that I would not stay here again. There were bed bugs and cockroaches in the room. The so-called kitchen is only a microwave and a kettle.. it felt like a bad joke tbh. Otherwise it didn’t really feel homey or anything because apart from the patio there’s no real hangout spot, so I spend most of the time outside of the hostel. As a female solo traveler I also didn’t really feel safe in my mixed bedroom, with only one other woman, but that’s foreseeable.

Don’t recommend AT ALL. First, I found a small insect in the mattress and they refused to change the bed sheet saying that there were nothing. Then there was no hot water in the private bathroom I paid for. Again they refused to fix and kept saying I didn't know how to use (but the receptionist himself tried and didn’t work). the location is not good, 30 min walk from center I didn’t feel safe to return alone in the evening, there’s no night buses to that place so I had to pay an Uber.

Hostel has BED BUGS. My group and I rented 6 beds in the 10 bed room and in 4 of our beds we found bed bugs. We found bed bugs in our bed after coming back, we were only there for one night and because of the bed bugs we did not get to sleep. The staff apologized and issued a refund and offered us coffee. The staff is nice but they need to clean. Would not recommend.

The staff were very good, the hostel very beautiful and well equipped. However, I found bed bugs and I was bitten ALL over my body during my stay. This is INADMISSIBLE. The staff were understanding, refunded me for the night and changed my room, but the damage had already been done. Yes, they changed my room, but it wasn't locked and other guests had to be swiped as well. In short, it's disgraceful, hygiene is the least we can do. the beds are not cleaned, which means the hotel is worthless.

Not great location. The toilets and bathrooms aren't very clean and not enough for the amount of people (e.g. one sink for multiple rooms and two toilets). People were nice. But overall experience wasn't great. The ladder to the bunk bed is super tiny. Also I think I got bitten by bedbugs, so be aware of that.

During my last night I woke up with bedbugs marks as well found cockroach under the shower in the room which I was. Wanted to talk about it with staff but the guy behind reception said only Espanol Espanol. Couldn't do anything I texted to the hostel with pictures nobody respond yet...

Das hostel ist schön keine Frage und ich denke man möchte ein Selina Hostel imitieren. Aber es ist für die Lage, die Ausstattung und den Service viel zu teuer. über 40 Euro für eine nacht im 10ner Dorm. die Matratzen der unteren Betten liegen ohne Lattenrost einfach auf dem Boden. Das Bad konnte man micht abschließen. Es gibt zwar eine Küche, aber die vergügt nicht über einen Herd. Es gibt auch leider keinen Aufenthaltsbereich im Hostel selbst. Nur draußen einen netten Garten.

The staff barely speak English. The bathroom in the mixed dorm room does not have a lock! & the showers inside it have curtains with no lock! there is no privacy. someone can just open the door once you are in the shower. After my check out, I asked to keep my luggage in the hostel for a few hours, and they did not agree to do it without charging me extra! how rude! This never happened to me. Also, the hostel is not in a good location and is far from the centre. Overall, would not recommend.

Staff was great, super friendly. Cool boutique vibe. Rooms are small but ok. To consider: * Location close to the train station, but far from everywhere else. The walk to the center (and the nearest good restaurants) is 30 minutes. * Kitchen is quite small; there's no place to sit and eat inside. Also, no stovetops (though microwave available). * Bathroom is shared m/f, I almost walked in on someone naked. * No age limit; one of the elderly gentlemen in my room snored.

Overall we had a good time, our only concerns was the Wi-Fi kept falling off, and the locks to open the doors for loud which woke us up at night. Staff was very friendly, very pretty location, takes about 30 minutes to walk to downtown keep that in mind. We love that it was very close to the train station.

Recomiendo mucho! Los chicos te reciben muy amables, te ayudan con cualquier duda que tengas. Tiene un patio muy bonito y puedes caminar desde ahí a donde quieras (también hay buses cerca), mi estancia fue corta, pero definitivamente volvería! Gracias!

This hostel’s negatives were hard to ignore. The biggest is the location. It’s not near anything (30-40 min walk to the city center) and its surrounding area doesn’t offer anything. The public transportation was helpful. Their wifi was unreliable and slow, despite having multiple modems. The shower required you to consistently hold a button for water. If you released the button it would only run for ~2-3 secs. Also, there was no private area in the bathroom to change after you shower.

Rooms were very clean and the property was always tidy. Cafe/bar was a nice touch but not too loud/crowded. Great location within the city with easy access to metro system. Would highly recommend staying here.

The hostel is safe, clean (shout out to the cleaning staff for always keeping the bathrooms and showers perfectly clean!), and the reception guys nicely helped me with the couple of things I asked! That being said, I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place for fun trips and especially for solo travelers. - Sehr enge Mehrbettzimmer - Matratze durchgelegen - Bettwäsche aber sehr gemütlich - Personal freundlich aber nicht überambitioniert - abends ruhig und wenig "Community" - Duschräume und WCs auch sehr eng Fazit: Wer nur zum Schlafen kommt und gerne läuft oder Öffentliche fährt wird zufrieden sein.

The sheets on one of our beds hadn’t been changed, there was tissue in the bed and hair on the pillow. The bathroom facility in the larger shared dorm was dirty and very old/smelled bad. But the staff were super friendly and helped us switch to a new dorm!

This hostel is great. The location is convenient, the staff were very welcoming and the room was amazing. If I come back to Valencia I will definitely stay here again.

Staff are helpful and friendly! The location isn’t ideal but worked well enough for a couple nights. The shared bathroom was clean enough, though stuffy and a few spots of mold on the walls. Private room was good for what we needed it for as just a place to sleep. There’s a small kitchen room, but only a fridge, microwave, and electric kettle are available. A little noisy at night with people hanging out in the hallways. An overall very okay stay.

Reminder to ALL travellers out there: take a shower everyday and use deodorant, otherwise you may not smell it, but you WILL stink really bad and it permeates where you stay! It's really disrespectful if you're sharing a room :) As for the review, the hostel was quite nice. It's got spaces to gather outside. The room was nice, but had no windows, so it was rather stuffy. The internet connection was really bad eveywhere outside of our room, so we had to stay inside when we needed it. It didin't ...

First time staying in a hostel, and it was incredible! Great location, great staff, and having an onsite bar/hangout spot was perfect for meeting new people or getting ready for a night out. The woman working the front desk was friendly, helpful, and beautiful. Can’t wait to return to Valencia :)

We stayed here for one night, and we were impressed with the value for money we got! The place is SUPER clean! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating! The room had everything we needed, including a heating/AC unit.. the area is a bit noisy,. But despite that we got good sleep.. Thank you to everyone for the great stay, we will definitely be back!

i was surprised by the high score of the hostel; everything felt old, slightly unsafe, my bed was right next to the door and while others where fully covered mine had a gap and efveryone who walked in could see me in bed; no cooking facilities, just a microwave, the area also is far from the best; but this hostel has potential and i think that sooner or later it will be nice
