Honestly, one of the worst hostel I've been to in +10years of travel. The hostel is well located and that's about it. The dorm is very small, even for Japanese style hostel. Because it's so packed it feel damped. There was absolutely no vibe.. The main area is also very small. Just a table and a few chairs.. Everything felt cheap whilst the dorm room was around $55 aud per night which is crazy... Probs better to seek elsewhere..
Has a mountaineering vibe to it, very small and tight quarters. Vibe in there was good, certain to meet some people because the place is so small you will meet most everyone there and make friends to ride with. But amenities are basic and probably not the best for long stays.
The location was great, the staff was very nice, the man and the two cats. Everything was clean and you got everything you needed. The beds were comfortable, the prospectuses and maps were interesting to look at. You can apparently rent sports equipment too. Can I recommend it to anyone who is not allergic to cats?
Nice location! Only 1 mins walk from the Asahigawa station. The owner is super nice and chill. He gives out good recommendations.
Loved staying at Asahikawa Ride. It's a pretty small hostel, but has everything you need. All rooms and facilities were spotless and comfortable. It's 10+ mins from the station, but you can catch a bus from around the corner to Asahidake and other daytrip spots. Staff were very kind and helpful, offering me hiking advice. And of course, the best part was the two cats! Thank you for the great stay, I'd love to come again!
Very clean and friendly staff. The hostel is very small, but I saw this as a good thing because all guests became friends!
Great vibes at a low key, comfortable place. All at a great location for outdoor enthusiasts!
Very good location, the installation guide who runs the hostel is someone of very helpful and efficient, the cat is super nice and he does not go d1ns the rooms. when you leave the station take the pedestrian street and it is almost at the end on the left. very good location, plus there is a free breakfast
