Seriously ratchet place. Dirty, old, just mess all around.
This place is far from everything, there is no place to buy even cookies, the road is bumpy. I booked a shared room, the bed was uncomfortable, the lockers are damaged and have no lock. The treatment of the staff is categorical, they did not return my change. I didn't spend even one night, I'd rather lose the money on the reservation
Decent hostel but I didn’t agree with their use of currency. Only accepting USD or else the black market rate for Egyptian pounds is unacceptable for a business. This didn’t happen in other hostels in Egypt
Breakfast was scarced and served on military metal dish. Guests are compelled by the cook to wash their own dishes. If you want to pay in egp they will convert with an unoffici currency rate of 40.
+ Ghandi was great! + Abu Simbel Tour was good - area really run down and too far from everything - showers too small, everything get’s wet - room doors too loud
Ghandi was really helpful and kind. The toilets were dirty. Bad location.
the good: the view of the nile is amazing, the tours were great value, the location is walking distance from a lot of attractions but its in a local village that can feel a little unsafe to walk around a night. The bad: rooms were very basic and the facilities not clean (no soap in bathroom) so definitely for seasoned hostel travellers. the security was poor, the front door was wide open and randoms walked in and out. All up, for the price and the view, its worth it! just dont expect much else..

such a great atmosphere in this hostel ! Really great people, good recrecommandation, boat tour for sunset with Omar. Good memories by the Nile with the locals !
Very happy of this stay at Go Inn Backpackers. I think the location is perfect : in a peaceful village, close to the Nile (with the possibility to have baths in the river and to do kayak) and not far from the center of Aswan, enough though to really feel the silence. The rooms are really simple but for me this was perfect, with a good fan on the ceiling to help with the heat. The terrace is amazing, with view on the dunes and the river. Luxury of simple things. Clean. Friendly.
Recomendadisimo!
I only stayed one night, but this place has a nice vibe, friendly owners/staff. 10 minute walk to the train station/close to downtown area. I would have stayed longer!
The good- Looks brand new. Very clean. Staff was nice. Walking distance to the Nile and also the Nubian museum. The bad- It’s on a dirt road and you have to walk for like 5-10 minutes to get to a paved road. The road to the paved road can be dark in some areas. Initially it felt sketchy.
good place to stay for a few nights. located in a niceandquite neighbourhood
I loved this place- its location on the river is so peaceful and scenic. Its always quiet around due to being in a village, which is a nice break from the city. Facilities are a bit basic, but its clean enough, has wifi and hot water. Can be a bit of walk into town for food, but theres a supermarket 15mins walk and a kitchen. I also arranged Abu Simbel transport with them for a great price. Ghandi was always responsive on whatsapp. Great place for a few days, but its not for everyone.
This hostel was great choice for my stay in Aswan. The staff were very helpful whenever I needed anything. The facilities were also very clean and decent. A kitchen was available to make meals, as well as laundry services. Now the location is a little outside of the city-center, but that adds to its charm as an escape from the hectic energy of the day. The hostel is located along the nile river and has a huge area for viewing, relaxing and socializing. I met so many great people here
Excellent stay in Go Inn Backbpackers ! Nice hostel along the Nil, possibility to rent kayaks, not far from good restaurants and to the market / city center, wonderful people, you can meet travelers and locals that are coming to chill at the terrace ! All good !
Hostel is kind of in the middle of nowhere but it’s not a very long walk to the town. You can swim in the Nile from the back patio which is lovely (a little cold atm though). Staff are helpful but sometimes you have to look for them (it is Ramadan so people are resting). Private room is so lush!! Pretty social, nice outside area, and kitchen. Would recommend staying for sure
Host is very nice, responsive and helpful. He helped with food recommendations, provided a boat to Nubian village, informed us about the city overall. Only reason why it didn’t score a 10 is because the kitchen wasn’t well equipped. Laundry is available and the hangout area near the river was beautiful! Would highly recommend
J’y reviendrais.
What should i say! One of the best hostels i have been to! Aswan is already a place you could spend weeks, as the vibe is great, but staying at that hostel makes it even better! Spoiler alert: you will extend your stay! Who doesn’t want to enjoy the sunset on the nile or having breakfast on the nile? Talking to your newly made friends til 3am, on the nile! You get what i mean! Can’t wait to be back! Shukran!
Amazing place . Go for it guys . Nice staf . Beautiful view . You can swim do kayaking and chill in beautiful terasse
I loved staying at Go Inn Backpackers! The location is breathtaking. The staff is so nice and kind. I can only recommend it!
Very good atmosphere in this hotel! The bar by the Nile, with the sunbeds and kayaks is such a great touch. I also liked that it was in a less touristy area of the city (while still being close to everything), so we have to interact with the locals and see how they live. The owner is so aknowledgeable about Egypt, so ask him if you have any doubts about your itinerary!!
Very good hostel ! The view is stunning and we had a very pleasant stay. The only thing is that it is quite far from the center of Aswan, so it is not very practical to visit the city, but the hostel proposes all the available excursions to do around Aswan so it compensates
Had an amazing experience here! 😊 The place was spotless and super clean. The staff were absolute sweethearts - really nice, helpful, and attentive. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. Great location too..Highly recommend! 👍 5/5 stars for sure.
It is in a quiet area, right next to the nile, perfect to relax. All the staff was very nice and accomodating.
This is by far the most social hostel I've been to in Egypt. The owner Gandhi here is an absolute lovely man. He spends time at the hostel himself chatting and providing whatever information you might need as a traveler. I came here for a day and ended up staying for almost a week. Beds and Toilets are basic but they are kept clean and as a backpacker you won't have any issues
