I understand that Hong Kong accommodation is expensive, but I do expect something half decent for £60 a night in a private youth hostel room. They have these “environmentally friendly” towels that do not dry you, nor do they last very well. Each day we were provided with a new one which caused more rubbish to put in the bin. Our first room was dirty and false eye lashes still found in the bed. Credit to the staff, they helped us swap rooms when I said I struggled due to my height...

Very dirty, prices hiked for LNY. Shower had mold everywhere and drains were flooding. Toilet also dirty. Would not stay again.

The hostel is acceptable. Honestly I've seen worse in HK, but the price is still pretty high for the service they offer. Especially for girlsI reccomend to stay in the female dorm, even if it cost more. The mixed dorm was terrible for me, 4 or 5 people snooring every night, mostly middle age man and the room was always stinky. And most of the time I was the only woman, pretty scary. Ask to stay in the lowest floor if u suffer from vertigo. Cleaning was pretty terrible, shower and bath very dirty

We stayed in a private room and it was absolutely disgusting. The bathroom had mould all over it. The toilet was leaking waste on the floor. The room was ridiculously small, even for Hong Kong standards. We couldn’t both have our bags open at the same time. The shower curtain had mould all over the bottom of it. The common area wasn’t social at all, very basic and dated. It didn’t look like any maintenance had been carried out in years. Definitely would not stay again!

My main disappointment with YesInn was the lack of transparency in the initial advertising. I had NO idea I would be located on the 21st floor of a building, whichi never would have chosen. Or that I would be paying over $50/night for a clausterphobic room with two beds, no room (other than the extra bed) for luggage, no room to move, How could. 2 people even function in this room.? It was clean enough, except active mold on mattress was hidden by bedsheets. the walls were always damp.

It was moldy and we had a few bugs 🤨

Do not stay here! There is mold everywhere, the walls, ac, shower. Money is better spent elsewhere or at a hotel.

Nous étions 2 dans une chambre privée avec salle de bains. Les points positifs sont, le personnel très gentil, l'emplacement proche de tout. Point négatif, très chère pour pas beaucoup, taille de la chambre très petite surtout la salle de bains. Je pense que l'option en dortoir peu être plus intéressante surtout niveau prix.

This Hong Kong Hostel would have a lot better rating if it was cleaner, if management paid more attention to details, especially cleaning and respect for the environment… and at some point maintaining and upgrading certain areas that are depleted, and that also cause health concerns, especially toilets with mildew, mold and lack of important ventilation.

Great hostel. Nothing too fancy but clean and all facilities in good condition. Great location !

Super solid overall. The location is great. Super close to the Ya Ma Tei station. Hit or miss on showers stayed in 3 dfferent rooms and 2 had good water pressure and 1 was pretty week but the rest of the rooms were nice. Each bed has a lock box which felt pretty secure. Main lobby had solid spots to chill but definitely not super happening vibes. Mostly people eating or working. Pretty chill overall. If the price is right you won't go wrong.

Ik had een heel leuk verblijf. De kamers zijn zeer klein, maar dit wist ik op voorhand. Ik had gehoopt dat het een iets socialer hostel was. De kamer en badkamer zijn zeer proper, en de medewerkers zijn vriendelijk. De ligging is uitstekend

Für den Preis vollkommen ok. Zimmer hatte nicht viel Ausstattung bis auf einen Wasserkocher und Einweghandtücher. Sauberkeit lies zu wünschen übrig (Einwegkontaktlinsen vom Vorbesitzer noch im Bad, viel Staub, Vorhänge haben ekelhaft gerochen). Sehr hellhörig, aber kein Verkehrslärm.

it's quite nice

Good price for a private room in Hong Kong and I loved the area! It felt very local and friendly. The staff were also super friendly. The room was tiny and not that nice - bright, white lights, a bed on wheels which constantly rolled around, tinted windows which made it feel very dark. Also, no social atmosphere at all. If you want a private room for a good price I would still recommend, otherwise a different place might be better.

Clean hostel and nice staff. Room was small for 8 people and only one toilet and one shower but lot of space in the reception area. Good value for money. The bed was too hard for my back and the A/C was cold 19 C so I slept with lot of clothes on.

Not much atmosphere, but good if you’re saving money

By far the most filthy hostel I've been at. Tiles falling off the toilet wall, tap falling off the sink, no soap etc. Shower was borderline unusable with the amount of mold. Address in hostelworld is wrong and will take you to a random residential block 30 minutes away.. Beds have curtains but only long enough to cover either your feet or your face. On top of that, fire alarm went off both of the nights I spent there. Don't let the cheap price fool you. Only positive is location.

One of the dirtiest hostels I have been to

The property location is good near the markets, subway and noodle shops but the hostel itself was below the service of other hostels. Staff did not give directions to the hostel on request or give the wifi codes or try and assist on check in or assist to give the directions and fare for bus to the airport on checkout. Dorm was small and noisy at 5.30 am with 2 people coming in making unnecessary noise for a full hour till 6.30 am. Rules in dorms are needed. I did not enjoy my stay here.

Goede locatie, dicht bij de metro. Locatie was even zoeken. Voor Hong Kong prijzen goedkoop. Vergeleken met andere hostels in Azië was het erg matig en afzien.

Great hostel! Rooms are small but not as small as I was expecting with it being Hong Kong. Room and bathroom were clean and beds were comfortable. There isn’t really a social area, so it’s a bit difficult to meet people. Great location as it’s right next to the MTR
