The Famous Pai Circus Hostel

We had booked a private room, but when we arrived they told us they couldn’t get the people staying in our room the day before to leave. They offered to put us in the mixed 12 bed dorm for one night and then move into the private the following day. We decided to take this offer. As a young woman I felt very uncomfortable in this dorm due to it having 7 other older men staying there and no other females. It was also very dirty compared to the photos online. After this we requested a refund!!!

I think it was the 2 worst nights of my trip. When I arrived, there were some biscuits on my bed (they clearly don’t change the sheets every time). I even heard some travellers talking about bed bugs 😐 The atmosphere was really weird, Most guys were just looking to hook up. The shower and floors were dirty. One night, the electricity went off, so I couldn’t charge my phone and there was no air conditioning in a 24 bed dorm! It was a horrible night, and they didn’t even offer any discou...

We booked this hostel because of the good reviews, and we're in shock. When we got there, the room was dirty, and there were dead bugs on the beds. There was a gap on the bottom of the door where bugs entered. We couldn't stay there for even one night and left to stay at a hotel that for 2 people was cheaper than the hostel. The workers there tried to help, and we got a refund for all of the nights except the first one.

Comfy bed, beaut views of Pai, and friendly staff. Capybara cafe was a bonus. Showers temperamental. Location is a bit out of the way but not too far out. Negatives are it is expensive and noise levels. My dorm was close to the firepit they use at night, so could be hard to get to sleep bc of loud people. It also doesn't seem to attract the best of people- each night by different groups of people I'd get woken up by them being super loud and one barged the door open instead of using the fob.

super expensive for what it was. obviously the huts cant have en suite, but theyre crazy expensive for just a double bed. however was a gorgeous location, friendly staff, lovely pool, nice activities and good atmosphere. pretty clean for a thai hostel as well

avoid unless you are a trust fund hippy!! thai staff are helpful and friendly but the hostel reps ruined my stay and other guests had similar issues. one of the reps told me to stay somewhere else and told my friend he is a tourist not a traveller. very cliquey and the opposite of how reps should be. if you have rich parents, don’t shower and want to sit around a fire doing d**** talking about finding yourself this place is for u :)

We were early to check-in. Booked a private hut, one was already available and the staff told us this one was quite warm and loud as it was near the main Facilities and in the sun all day. He told us if we wanted to wait, we could have another quieter hut. We waited with check-in half the day, leaving our bags around in the main area. When we came back, all the huts were taken and only the one directly opposite the loud showers and water pumps was left. Bad first impression.

Very few bathrooms and showers and they were not anyway clean. Overpriced for amenities

I paid 20 euros to stay 4 bed mix dorm but was dirty, ı would pay 2 euros for that room

The hostel was dead and dirty. The pool is nice and there's a good view but that's about it.

Had a great really fun stay, Lydia, Aiden and Kev was fab and really involved and kept the vibes up.. definitely will return, one of my best stays while travelling x

Love this spot, one of the reps Kevin was an absolute legend , the Don of all men. A modern day messiah , I’d go to war for this man. All in all great trip couldn’t recommend Pai circus enough.

Had the best time ever at this hostel. Insane views and super social. The huts were great just a short walk to the toilets. Kevin and Nang were great. Would 100000% recommend this hostel to anyone coming to pai

Seriously the best hostel we have stayed at in Thailand. The location is great, with the main town only being a 10 minute walk away. Friendly dogs, clean rooms, and a very affordable stay. Very big shoutout to the staff, in particular Kevin. Plenty of campfire nights we’ll never forget!

Love this hostel, great vibe and perfect mix of chill and nights out, perfect for whatever vibe you’re going for. Kevin was amazing ,he really went the extra mile. Will definitely come back

staff are great, very friendly and always willing to help, never met a set of reps who are so easy to talk to. big shout out to kev! sligos finest rep. view is something to die for, couldn't think of a better place to enjoy the paihole, no where else to stay in Pai apart from the circus!!

I loved staying at the circus hostel, I kept extending my stay. The staff is super sweet, friendly and helpful. Kevin really makes sure theres a good vibe at nighttime. Tapas is always down to help with whatever. Making friends in this hostel is really easy.

Lovedddd staying here! The view is unmatched and it made our stay in pai so good. The rep Kevin made us feel so welcomed as did all the other reps. All the staff are super nice. It’s a really nice and social hostel with a pool table. I really recommend staying here!! It’s a 10 minute walk from the strip in pai but a lovely walk over a bamboo bridge.

Amazing place to stay in Pai! The whole hostel has such a vibe and the people really make it even better. The pool with the view is incredible, especially at sunset, and there are heaps of hammocks around to chill in during the day/night. Special mention to Kevin for being such a great rep — he really made everyone feel at home. His late nights and mornings on the guitar added to the atmosphere and made the stay even more memorable.

Great hostel, all ways stay here when I come to Pai. Gives you a great balance between chilling/partying.
