Hostal al Fin del Mundo

I did not enjoy my stay here - although Rodrigo was very amicable, the place was filthy, and the bedding and carpets stained. The place is very run down with things broken. The included breakfast was disappointing (just a stale bread roll and some yogurts which were lukewarm). I strongly considered moving to a different place but stuck in out as I was only staying one night. I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone unless they also

Worst hostel I ever stayed in, absolutely mistreated place. In December 2022 none of the issues already raised in comments 2020 are fixed. The toilet is broken and leaves a nasty surprise. There seems be only one working shower in the hostel, the other one nobody seem to care to fix. Rooms have disgusting colors and the carpet I don’t even want to go into. This is not just a rundown place. The fact for how long this already is the case shows how little interest the owner has. Don’t stay here...

The room was horrible. The carpet was dirty, no window, the color of the walls was terrible, not even a little light on a table right next to the bed. Difficult to discribe how bad it was. I considered to leave....

This hostel is in a horrendous condition and I felt very unsafe here as a solo female traveler. I was alone in the hostel with another man who kept making inappropriate comments and even came knocking at my door at night. The personnel do not sleep in the hostel which is why I decided to leave it and find a new accommodation at 1am in the night. Things like this unfortunately happen to us women when travelling but I would have felt much safer knowing there was someone else around to help me.

this hostel is kind of dirty and a lot of things were broken. The floor is covered with dirty carpet. The breakfast is just plain today with margarine. Other than the location and the fact that there is indeed a bed, this hostel does not have many advantages.

The property was dilapidated, clean but felt cluttered. The kitchen was small and basic. Shower was hot and the bed was comfy. No heating in our room. Felt dark and dingy. 2 nights was too long.

Die Unterkunft war für eine nach ok, aber die „Lockers“ waren ein Doppelschrank mit einem kleinen schloss davor und hätten mit es kraft rausgerissen werden können. Sauber war es nicht, vorallem in der küche war alles fettig, es roch nach rauch (das fenster der küche geht zum raucherraum raus) niemand hat sich um die Ordnung und Sauberkeit gekümmert. Dafür gab es viele Sitzmöglichkeiten und es hatte ein uriges Flair.

Holà ! Solo quería informarle que el taxista que nos proporcionó para el traslado al aeropuerto no apareció, esperamos 15 minutos y luego pedimos un Uber. Además, os informamos que en el desayuno había muy poco pan, lo comimos razonablemente y no quedó para los demás residentes. Gracias por su bienvenida, ¡que tenga un buen día!

It has a lot of potential but it was being renovated when I visited. The staff were kind enough to find space for me, but it would be nice to come back when it’s all fully operational.

Das Hostal ist alt und nicht das sauberdte. Jedoch ist das Personal super freundlich. Das Frühstück ist nicht sehr speziell aber man kann so viel essen wie man will.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hostel. Andres is very friendly and hospitable person. He will give you advices about Punta Arenas, tips about places worth to visit, about history of the city and Chilean side of Patagonia…and he is also a good musician, playing on guitar :) The atmosphere is very nice! Definitely recommend this place ;)

hostel bien placé en centre ville, pas loin du front de mer. ma chambre n'avait pas de fenêtre (juste un puis de lumière), ce qui empêchait d'aérer l'espace.l'hostel mériterait quelques travaux

Really lovely hospitable staff. Upgraded me to a private room as it was low season for no extra cost. Great location and warm & cosy

Great stay! Staff were super accommodating (one even let me borrow some equipment for a hike!). Furnace in the main area was so homey. The place wasn’t super clean, and the showers were a little more than a drip, but the beds were super duper cozy!

Globalement j'ai été tres agreablement surprise du lieu. Cependant, il est beaucoup moins convivial que d'autres et j'y ai eu tres froid

Good vibes with Andrés. I stayed here a couple nights and then came back for another 4 (waiting on ferry). Common area is solid especially for shoulder season. Having a washer dryer was definitely a plus. Negatives would be breakfast and non heated rooms (cozy once under the blankets though). That said, the dorm beds are very spacious and the fireplace in the common room was perfect. Would, and did, come back.

Beautiful cosy place :) It’s a really calm, good located place with a really nice owner. There’s not so much going on but perfect for 1/2 nights!

I didn’t love it and wouldn’t necessarily recommend it. Building is really old and grimey. The single room they have there has no window and is super depressing. The breakfast is a complete throw away, just some rolls and a can of jam. I didn’t hate it though. Is a very charming atmosphere in certain spaces. Staff are nice but they’re not around so can’t really give recommendations.
