Very very overpriced for a private room and the quality was not good. Shower flooded everywhere so floor was slippery and wet for most of the time and didn’t dry out. Staff barely spoke English making any requests I had very difficult. No atmosphere or any real fun to be had in the place. Only good thing was the location of the hostel which was close to the town centre.

Llegué y directamente me llevaron a la habitación. No me enseñaron el hostel ni me dieron más explicaciones. La habitación para 4 era pequeña. La litera de arriba no tenía nada para dejar las cosas. Era un poco incómodo y tampoco me pareció que estaba muy limpio en general. No había sitio para tender la toalla mojada, así que había que colgarla donde pudieras en la habitación y al final olía a humedad...
I arrived and they directly took me to the room. They didn't show me around the hostel or give me any further explanations. The room for 4 was small. The upstairs bunk had nothing to put things in. It was a little uncomfortable and I also didn't think it was very clean in general. There was no place to spread the wet towel, so you had to hang it wherever you could in the room and in the end it smelled of moisture...
It was a bed, not more. The location is amazing, right by the square. Nothing else to say about that But-there’s really no space for your stuff in the rooms, in the bathroom, nowhere to put your toiletries but on the toilet. The „walls“ to the „bathroom“ were added, and some glass/plastic slide door. Very loud and in some rooms see-through. Even though they just cleaned it (?) before check in, it was dirty. walls peeling off. Staff speaks no English.
Really good location, nice kitchen and breakfast but the bathroom was a bit mouldy
receptionists are very nice, one if them - a lady, helped me with my phone/data problems. Nice breakfast, bread, egg and jam was available. very good location!
Really good central location right by the main square. The rooftop is a really nice communal area so it's a shame that it closes at 9pm. Beds in the 8 room dorm are comfy but the door to the en-suite kept falling off and it was generally a bit run down. The kitchen is really well stocked and Yasmani from the bar was really friendly and chatty!
Das Hostel war sehr gut. Aber in manchen Zimmern gab es Schimmel. Manche Zimmer haben auch keine Fenster. Das Frühstück war aber gut und die Touren die man dort buchen kann nicht teurer als bei Tourenbüros im Stadtzentrum.
The hostel was very good. but in some rooms there was Schimmel. some rooms also have no windows. the breakfast was but good and the tours you can book there can not be more expensive than at tourist offices in the city center.
nice hostel, our bathroom light didn’t work which was a little annoying, & hot water was here & there, beds were comfy, location was amazing!!! staff were lovely!
It's an ok place, very centrally located. Rooms are spartan but the important stuff works. Windows had blackout shutters which was nice. But I cannot stress enough: DO NOT STAY HERE ON THE WEEKEND if you value sleep There is a nightclub next door that pumps out loud thumping music all night.

would have been perfect but the ceiling in the bathroom was COVERED in mould which had a bad smell

A budget hostel perfect for enjoying Arequipa in peace and quiet.
My stay here was very pleasant. It's central enough so you're close to everything, but away from all the crowds. I arrived in the city super early and the kind man at the front desk still got up and helped me get into the room. Any requests or questions were answered quickly. There isn't a common room and there isn't at restaurant or bar, so meeting people was hard. But otherwise, nice place!

Location is so close to the main square and all the tourist attractions. You can also book the colca canyon through the reception. Spacious kitchen with plenty of cooking facilities. Free breakfast too! There’s a big rooftop terrace with a lovely view of the city and also a bar. Great if you want a quiet stay, would highly recommend :)
