Casajungla Hostel

Be forewarned, there is no AC here. If you are looking to get some sleep, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. It’s really a shame, because otherwise this was a perfectly alright hostel. A little bit out of the way from downtown, but there are bikes you can rent. The owners were really friendly, but again, the lack of AC makes me not want to come back because it is really hot in Jacó.

Besonderes und empfehlenswertes Hostel. Good to know: Weg zum Strand 1.5h. Es existieren keine geschlossenen Wände, deshalb hat man auch das Licht der andern Zimmer im eigenen und jedes Wort kann mitverfolgt werden. Wit hattet einige Fledermäuse in unserem Zimmer, unsere Sachen rochen stark nach 3 Nächten und ich hatte Kot auf meinem Rucksack. Da die Sonne nie ins "Haus" scheint, gibt es keine Möglichkeit feuchtes zu trocknen. Die Duschen sind beim Eingang und haben nur einen Vorhang.

It’s a lovely property and it’s really clean with lots of good facilities. Unfortunately there was barely any guests so not much atmosphere but that is just due to the time of year. Staff are really friendly and accommodating.

Great free breakfast. Cute little hostel with AC in the room. A bit far from town centre. But it was fine for one night.

Honestly the place is nice, clean, breakfast is good. But, they are super passive aggressive, there is no vibe, tons of rule signs everywhere and the whole place just feels uptight Not a hostel.. wouldn’t recommend for solo travellers. Groups or couples should be fine if your looking for a low key experience

Schönes Hostel, ABER: wir wurden von einem anderen Gast Gottes belehrt, hatten Angst vor ihm und wollten nicht im selben Zimmer schlafen und haben Draußen in der „allgemein area“ schlafen wollen. Die Eigentümer des hostels haben uns verscheucht, wir haben unsere Sicherheitsbedenken geäußert, und sie meinten „es ist ein Hostel, wenn du nicht im Mehrbettzimmer schlafen kannst, dann Buch dir ein Privatzimmer. Geh in den Dorm“. Das ist kein Safe Space.

Pros: nice kitchen/breakfast Cons: no one came to gate upon arrival (other guests left, let us in); we were then told that our double bed room had electrical issues (looked to be ongoing work from construction) - instead we'd have twin beds that we could "just push together, it's fine" (not pleasant as a couple, no apology, discount or heads up before arrival despite being in contact the day of check in); this new room was immediately beside the construction - SUPER loud, starting before 7:30am

Buena ubicación en una calle tranquila al lado de la playa. Para ser Costa Rica tiene un precio normal. Buena limpieza y poco ruido por la noche

Un accueil pas tellement hyper chaleureux par le monsieur, Établissement vieillissant, mériterai un petit coup de rafraîchissement La chambre vieillotte, matelas et oreiller très vieux et inconfortable Le petit dej compris c’est top, quand il y a du choix et que la plage n’est pas forcément entre 8h et 9h, pour les départs tôt c’est un peu compliqué …

Die Leute waren Freundlich,die Lage jedoch sehr weit weg vom Rest. Frühstück war ziemlich gut

great spot however far from things. you ca borrow a bike for an hour free but 2$ an hour after if needed. beautiful staff and breakfast is top notch! lots to see and do in area i recommendation this place for quite and comfortably!

My favorite hostel stay ever! If you have the chance to visit, please do so. The staff is lovely and accommodating. The rooms were clean, and the hostel had everything we needed for an enjoyable visit to Jaco.

The property and location were great. The breakfast was delicious, and everything was clean. Just be certain of the room you book, it is verrry hot here. I among other travellers I spoke to thought I booked a room with a/c but had to endure without it and it was not pleasant.

Probably the best hostel i stayed since my last 4 months traveling. The only point where i don't give 5 stars is the location.

The staff were supper nice and welcoming. I really enjoyed the location as it’s towards the end of the beach so you are at a less crowded area of the beach when visiting. The breakfast was delicious and the outdoor space was relaxing. FYI it is a bit far from the main strip of Jaco if that’s where you intend to be but I liked that about the place.

I stayed here for a week and had a great experience! The hostel was quiet but still an easy walk to all the action in downtown Jaco. The beach was 2 blocks away. Pool was immaculate and refreshing. Homemade breakfast included too. The staff that I interacted with, Veronica and Nikki, were outstanding, very attentive and welcoming. I would definitely sleep with them again, jaja.

Casajungla is a very nice hostel. Although the room we got was minimal the hostel itself was very welcoming and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and there was both a fridge and freezer. The pool was also really nice as it was being cleaned everyday.

Amazing stay! Close to the beach, súper friendly staff, clean and comfy beds, amazing breakfast & coffee everyday. Low key and very chill, would stay again 100%!

I had a great experience staying at Casa Jungla in Jaco, Costa Rica. I will recommend anyone to stay here. I will definitely stay there again.

Great hostel. So far the best I have stayed in Costa Rica. The owners are great people and the breakfast is hands down the best hostel (even some chain hotel) breakfast I’ve eaten.

Great hostel in Jaco. Its a bit outaide downtown, so its quieter. Nice facilities, cool pool. Friendly and helpful staff. Very nice and clean, had a good time.

Un hostal tranquilo y limpio. Verónica la dueña muy querida y dispuesta a ayudar. La cercanía con la playa es ideal y una vez llegas tiene la mejor panorámica. También debo decir que Verónica hizo el mejor gallo pinto que me comí en todo Costa Rica.

Had an amazing time at casajungla I got a private room with a bathroom and was definitely worth it. The host was very kind and breakfast was delicious. Just a 5 minute walk to the beach and not far from all the shops with still having privacy in the city. Only downside would be the construction next door but easily overlooked.

Veronica was absolutely lovely! We went during rainy season so it was a bit quiet but the hostel was very clean and the free breakfast was fantastic.

Hostel nur 5min vom Strand entfernt, 2 nette Strandbars in der Nähe. Jacó Downtown wird bei Dunkelheit von Einheimischen nicht empfohlen.

This was one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. I saw more wildlife in the backyard than on some 2hr hikes in the jungle. Clean space. Good energy from the owners who made it feel like a homestay. My only regret is not being able to communicate more with the owners in Spanish who were down the earth and very accommodating. I should note I stayed here twice, the breakfast is great, 3m walk to beach, pool is clean, beds were comfortable. Thanks again !!
