Ahau Tikal

Very unclean, basic, a lot of things were broken. Only ended up staying 1 night

One indoor toilet for the whole hostel which broke twice in one day. The shower was so cold and wouldn’t warm up. We booked a 4 bed female do but had 5 girls in it (two girls sharing a top bunk??). The yoga teacher was quite snappy and rude to a couple of customers. Lots of mosquitos in the common area. Very hot and had a bad smell. Location was good.

The room and bathroom smelled moldy and musky. The sheets and pillow had a noxious smell, so I assume they are not cleaned regularly. The staff are accommodating, nice, and helpful.

ok not a social hostel

I was only here for the 2 nights either side of Tikal but it did the job, nothing fancy. Basic rooms, had AC and hot water. Good location, clean, nice staff. Be prepared for the whole hostel to be up at the crack of dawn, either going on a Tikal tour or catching the 6am bus to Belize.

Die Unterkunft war gut. Die Organisation der Tikal Tour hat optimal funktioniert. Auch das Privatzimmer war gut, bis auf einen etwas unangenehmen Geruch. Die Küche war leider nicht so gut. Am letzten Abend war eine Party und leider wurde direkt vor unserem Zimmer sehr viel Gras von Einheimischen geraucht. Das hat uns leider etwas unsicher fühlen lassen.

Cute cozy hostel well situated in flores. AC works well in the room which is a plus, and the common outdoor area with the hammocks is really nice to relax. Staff overall is nice, but it often felt like there was more staff than visitors, and the staff would often barge into the rooms without knocking, which is a bit weird. Not a super social/party hostel, but a good place to relax, with a kitchen as well.

Lovely staff but the facilities at the hostel were not good. The toilet didn’t work and the sink leaked. The water wasn’t working for a few hours. The AC in our room was balanced on the window letting in mosquitos so my partner got covered in bites.

Ostello carino nel centro di Flores, vibe molto rilassata, camere da 4 basiche ma pulite e con aria condizionata. Bagni in comune puliti con acqua tiepida (ma fa caldissimo a Flores quindi va bene). Cucina per cucinare e zona relax con amache. Wifi funzionante.

Nettes Personal und super Standort. Betten hatten leider keine Vorhänge daher wenig Privatsphäre. Aus meiner Sicht nicht sehr Social, was ggf. Unter anderem eine einer fehlenden bzw. nur sehr kleinen Common area liegt.

Très cosy avec Clim. Jardin super pour chill et et super location. Personnel incroyable !

10 stars if possible. The atmosphere in here was divine. Phenomenal facilities and an amazing price. Staff was so friendly and helpful. AC rooms and the cutest little kitty. What else can I say. Ahau is something special

Nice and clean hostel. I really liked the garden area and the garden showers. During my stay the temperatures were very high, so having air conditioning is amazing! Staff was also friendly.

Clean and cozy!

Everything was great. If the hostel provide a simple breakfast it will be great.

Totally recommend it! I stayed in a private room as a solo traveler and it was perfect. 10/10 for location, cleanliness, and the friendly and helpful staff. The highlight for me was definitely the shower in the garden; there’s nothing like an outdoor shower among the plants.

Staff are so so friendly and helpful. The hostel is such a relaxing place and the rooms are spacious and clean with good air con. The bathroom and showers are also very clean and work well. Overall a lovely vibe and in a lovely location!!

A nice spot in the middle of Flores. The staff were great and really helpful. Also did the free walking tour of Flores that starts in the hostel and would recommend. It also offers free yoga which I didn’t do

Alles was goed! Top locatie, receptie personeel enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam, goed bed. Het enige is dat de douche koud was, maar dat heb je wel vaker in centraal amerika

Sehr gutes Hostel, zentral und sicher gelegen. Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett.

Beautiful places. Feels like being in nature in the middle of the city. NIEVE IS AMZING AND SOOO CUTE (the cat mascott). I would go back there anytime. Feels like a safe place from the start.

Staff are fabulous- I forgot my phone on the tour bus and the staff were able to call the company to return it to me. Staff go above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable. You can also get your laundry done at the property. Also- the walking tour at the hostel is one of the best walking tours I’ve ever taken!

Ich hatte einen angenehmen Aufenthalt, auch wenn das vierer Frauenzimmer wirklich sehr klein und eng ist. Ich wusste nicht wo ich meine Tasche lassen soll. Insgesamt waren alle freundlich, aber es herrschte nicht die sozialste Stimmung, vielleicht liegt das an der kleinen Größe des hostels. Viele Angebote zu Touren, sicher, schöner Garten und eine Küche sowie warmes Wasser.

Staff is so lovely and helpful! The outdoor area is so lovely I could sit out there all day. It’s pretty quiet which is lovely because there are spots on the island that are really loud. Wish I was staying more than one day. Beds are comfy. Felt safe inside even tho most bedrooms are not locked. There are small lockers inside but not big enough for a whole big backpack

favourite hostel so far in guatemala. staff were so welcoming and helpful, and the vibe of the hostel was amazing ! really lovely outside space. loved it so much. you need to stay here , very good location as well :)

Super mignon et arboré. On s'y sent bien ! La chambre était un peu petite pour 4, pas beaucoup d'espace pour les affaires mais tout le reste est top!

had a very nice stay. the staff was very kind. slept great in a 4 bed female dorm. shower was good. I also did the walking tour which was good, however took over 2 hours which i wasn’t prepared for. Overall would stay again

The whole hostel only has 1 indoor toilet and 1 indoor shower. There are 2 outdoor toilets and an outdoor shower, but it's a little rough if you have to get up in the middle of the night to pee. The water is not very hot in the shower either. The staff is kind and location is amazing.
