The room only contains a bed and AC but nothing to store clothes or stuff. You need to put everything on the ground. The room is so basic, there is not even a dustbin or mirror. The room is also very noisy. Besides that there is no real backpack vibe and not much going in the nights. I would not recommend it.
Perfect place if you think sleep is overrated.
The bathrooms and beds need work - it smells in the rooms and the bathrooms are just not it.
Started out great. Met owner Zane and loved him. But 2 staff people made it impossible to write good review. One female worker was given a bed in my room had nerve to smoke up entire room with her dangerous lit candle. Smoke was everywhere. Another female was out of control yelling at guests without understanding why. Shower heads in all rooms were rusty. I didnt want rust on my body so didnt shower. Told Zane. He immediately changed them but it should never have happened. Zane was nice not o...
Good location near man road to get buses and walkable either to Waikiki beach or to the park and mall. Staff super friendly. Decent kitchen. Quite nice dorms. Shared areas not very comfortable and lack of charging points.
For the price of this I could have just gotten a hotel for 100 bucks more and had a significantly better experience. The room's a/c was in a location that made it impossible to be cool in the bottom of the bunk bed. the bunk bed was cheap so going up top would have broken it so i had to put the mattress on the floor. the shared room area has no a/c and is miserable to be in. the bathroom and shower area are so small you can't even clean yourself properly, the floors were dirty, the main building...
Our room had no window which made it an unpleasant and claustrophobic place to be, it meant that we had no choice but to rely on the loud air con. The rooms don't have any storage at all, not even any hooks to hang a towel on. There are no lockers in the hostel to leave things like passports which meant we had to always take them with us. The only thing in the room was a very rickety, squeaky bunk bed, that felt like it might collapse at any moment. Hostel was clean and has nice outside areas.
The staff were nice. The hostel wasnt what I expected based off the pictures. it was quite raunchy/ghetto but nonetheless a place to sleep. Not a room to spend time in. its supper hot in the hostel and they only give you a thin blanket so make sure to ask for one if you need one. The parking is $20 a night and suppeerrr tight alley which was annoying reversing out of. I wouldnt stay at this one again but it was good enough.
Enjoyed my stay but found it very hard to sleep in the dorms as there is no air conditioning. Very uncomfortable in summer. Staff are great and ok location. Did feel a bit unsafe with the property being on a lane with 2 bars and a 7/11. Interesting characters hanging around.
Rooms were uncles - chewing gum under the bunk, very dirty floors (didn’t look like they’d been cleaned in a while) and no effort to throw away old food left in the fridge… I arrived to find old takeaways belonging to no one in the dorm and milk over a month out of date. Overall a bit grimy

I really enjoyed my stay here. I came to Honolulu to go on a cruise with friends. Surprisingly, I have enjoyed my few days at ALOH Hostelworld more tham my week on the cruise!! The staff is friendly & professional. The accomodations are good. The price makes a Hawaiian adventure affordable!!
This is my fourth time staying with you. The service and attention were excellent, and the place was clean; however, I do recommend performing some maintenance on the beds—specifically in my room, #233, where one of the beds made so much noise that it made it impossible to fall asleep. That is the only issue; please do not overlook that detail. Aside from that, I encourage other travelers to stay here—the location is fantastic. I have stayed at other hostels in Honolulu, and this one is the ...

One of several Hostels in the Aloh brand. They get the hoscar award for a reason.

We were in a 2 bedroom with two other 2 bedroom apartments in an apartment (shared bathroom + kitchen with dining area). The mattresses were crammed and unfortunately there was no window in the room. The room and bathroom were clean, the bathroom was cleaned daily. Towels cost 2$ per towel to rent, the parking cost 25$ per night. We felt very comfortable and would come back anytime:)
Brownies for breakfast?!?!? Really? 👎🏼👎🏼 How about some fresh fruit & peanut butter?
Very nice hostel ,close to everything.
Relativ zentrale Lage. Allerdings liefen in diesem Viertel in der Dunkelheit einige gestrandete Existenzen umher. Sehr positiv: Es standen gefiltertes, kühles Trinkwasser, Kaffee und öfters leckere Brownies zur Verfügung.
Relatively central location. however, there are some stranded existences around in this Quarter in the Dunkelheit. very positive: Es standen gefilterten, kühles Trinkwasser, Coffee and öfters lecker brownies available.
The place was clean. Rooftop. Friendly Staff. Can visit other locations. Quiet hrs enforced at 10pm. However, for Hawaii this is a good backpacker hostel.
Amy and her baked goods were one of the high points of my stay here my room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was the employee who was dragging trash filled containers at four in the morning with the sound rumbling through my room and disturbing my sleep other than that, I would highly recommend a stay here.
It's a nice place. Very good staff. I recommend
When we arrived the first night there was a spoon in the room and in the following days more came out
Amazing hostel no complaints!
Great staff, great location, great sleep.
very good place. And I meet very good roommates there. I have good rest and a wonderful trip in Hawaii! The staff is very nice and friendly.
We loved the location, the staff were all very friendly and the rooms were clean, we especially liked that there are parking spaces in front of the hostel and that beach items could be borrowed free of charge!!
Really nice place to stay and meet people. Only the AC is a little too loud.
