Pachamama Hostel Cartagena

Molt and stinky! The room was Terrible! The walls were covered by molt and the smell was disgusting. We felt absolutely uncomfortable in the room and left right after we came there. After describing our needs at the reception no one offered us a fair offer and we had a huge struggle to get a part of our money back. The outcome was that we had to look for a new hostal during the night and lost a lot of money. We were very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend the hostal at all !

Dirty hostel, staff was not helpfull, someone stole the money of the people in my drom. Not worth your money

The bathrooms were unclean and had no ventilation so it was always sweltering hot which made showering very unpleasant. To top that, the water pressure was practically non existent.. at one point water completely stopped coming out of the shower head. We discovered ants in the bathroom as well which made their way into our room and into our backpacks. The AC in the room was also terrible. I had a top bunk and I couldn’t even use the sheet it was so hot all night

No AC. The Rooms are small and very hot

The rooms are very basic. Wifi doesn't reach them. There's no way to keep the light or noise out of the room from the hallway so had very bad sleep. Used the laundry service and they destroyed our clothes leaving permanent stains on them. Tried to resolve but staff called us liars. Would not recommend for any circumstance

Wifi and AC didn’t work well. Furniture and bathroom seemed old.

i don‘t recommend this hostel to anyone. the rating of this hostel should be way worse. the staffs are rude and don’t care about their guests and their experience. they can’t answer easy questions about the city or will give you wrong information. the place itself doesn’t has a good vibe. no hostel vibe. no comfortable area to socialize. nothing. on top the wifi is super bad and there is no wifi in the rooms.

A disgusting place. Small, moldy, stuffy dorms, with bad air conditioning. Tiny, dirty bathrooms. Kitchen was abysmal, with a fridge that was rusted. I paid for three days in cash. Went elsewhere, found a MUCH better hostel. Came back and said I’d like to pay for that first night but I want my money back for the other two nights. This was 1 hour after I paid. It was late at night. I was extremely tired. They said “we’re coming in five minutes” but never came. Dishonest and lying peo...

I’ve stayed in over 25 hostels and my expectations are never super high. This hostel in specific had a ton of mosquitos coming in and out of the room, they also leave windows open because the rooms are very stuffy, if the AC in the room isn’t on it’s hard to breathe. The hostel itself and staff are fine, if you’re looking for a goodnight sleep this place probably isn’t it. Even the party hostels in the area have better privates.

Great week’s stay at this hostel. It has a nice, quiet vibe away from the craziness of Old Town and the Getsemaní street bars, yet it’s still close enough to walk when you want to head out. Dylan, Sally, and Christina made sure all queries and requests were taken care of. The terrace was perfect for waking up to the sunrise and catching the sunset in the afternoon. Great location, only 2 toilets for like half the hostel which is crazy, the 7 person dorm is wild too, no curtains and has a more prison feel to it. But for the price ? Worth

too expensive to rent a room for oneself alone. big let down of the rooms is that they are windowless and therefore feel like cells.the rooftop is very nice and the kitchenaswell both invite to chill

Great location. And rooms are clean. However if one is planning to cook something, it barely has a kitchen; no knives, cutting board, utensils etc

Super Lage, nettes Personal und ordentliche Zimmer. Doppelzimmer war mit dem nötigsten ausgestattet und alles sauber. Schöne Dachterrasse mit Bar und tollem Ausblick.

The hostel has a nice location in Getsemani and I liked the rooftop terrace. What I really did not under was that there’s only one bathroom with a shower (as far as I know) which is not enough and sometimes there’s no water or with veeery low pressure. It‘s quite cheap though and I met nice people

Honestly fair for the price. Nothing amazing but had a great terrace that was nearly always empty for us to chill on, kitchen was easy enough to use with decent utensils. Was super quiet, not social at all, but great location! Easy to walk in so would question the security but felt safe enough. Biggest ick was no toilet seat or cover in the bathroom lol

Not a very social hostel, no one really talks to one another and not many people there. It's pretty cheap though and has a kitchen, although it wouldn't really need one, you'll probably go out to eat anyways (not too expensive)

There’s a rooftop but they need some better places to chill up there. There’s also a lounge and kitchen on the second floor. The room was pretty dark

We had an okay stay here. Enjoyed using the rooftop terrace, although we wished that the music was quieter as it was difficult to talk and there was no one else up there. It would benefit for more thorough cleaning, more regularly there were ants on the worktops and mouldy food wasn’t thrown out by the staff. The bins in the bathroom also need to be emptied more often. The beds are comfortable enough but the pillows really are quite rubbish. Was very thankful for the aircon in the room.

Super Hostel, emplacement parfait !

Stayed 3 nights, the shared bathroom in my 4 person dorm wasn’t cleaned once in that time. The walls in the room was soaking wet from damp. And now all my clothes smell of mould.

Nice hostel in a perfect place. Close to the places where you can go out or eat but quiet. The kitche is good for breakfast but not more. Would be nice if there are some good pans.
