I was in balkan soul hostel and I was terrified by their arrogance and rudeness

Great vibe though not accepting credit cards is a policy with which I don't agree. As a frequent traveller I try to hold cash in case I have a problem with cash or credit cards. It also suggested (at least to me) a tax work around ..a practice not aligned with the spirit of hostels. Staff were cool ...and again vide was wicked but that was a turnoff for me.

I personally experienced pretty poor customer service. They care a lot more about money than catering to their customers' needs. Turning off air conditioning during the day sucks as well

There is 0 water pressure in the shower and it’s also super dirty, my bed sheets had brown stains, I caught a cold, cause the AC is running all night and you can’t lock the rooms. The only positive thing here was the wonderful staff. Don’t recommend this place.

Not a safe location for female solo travelers. This was my 2nd different time staying here, but there was a man in my dorm room who would harass me and intimidate me whenever he and I were in private, yelling at me and trying to physically corner me in the bedroom. I asked the staff if I could either change my room, or have a refund for the nights I’m not staying, so I can leave. They had no other available beds- that is okay if they don’t have any other beds such short notice- and also they...

Awful stay. I arrived at 5am, told my bed wasn’t ready (which was fine) so had to sleep in the common area until check in. When I checked in, I was told my bed was ready all along and I slept in the common space for nothing. I was also bitten severely while sleeping in this hostel. I showed the staff my bites and they tried to deny it was linked to their property. They showed little sympathy. The staff also do very little to enforce the ‘quiet time’ rules as there was noise throughout the ...

Die Lage war super, allerdings wurde es plötzlich teurer als vorgesehen. Mein Spinnt war kaputt. Die private Zimmer Toilette war nicht richtig befestigt, so wenn man sich zur Seite Lenen würde, würde mann mit der Toilette umfallen. Die Sauberkeit hat echt zu wünschen übrig gegeben.

Didn’t find much soul in this hostel. Common area is in the basement and has no atmosphere. There were no activities. Staff didn’t give us information about the city upon arrival. Some of the staff had a bad energy, some others were nice. Bathrooms were clean, but wouldn’t come here again.

Really friendly and social, good showers, best lockers I’ve ever seen

We had a great time at Balkan Soul. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and ensured we enjoyed our stay. Sofia, Dan, and Alain were wonderful. The rooms and beds were clean. The social events were nice to meet other travelers before a night in Belgrade. I would come back to Balkan Soul next time I’m in Belgrade.

Great location with easy access to attractions and convenient transport from the airport. The staff are friendly, responsive, and communicate well, making the stay feel safe and welcoming. The evening activities are a nice touch, and overall it’s excellent value for money.

The atmophere is super nice i highly recomend it

Was having good time over here. Sofia had explained all things about places to visit and good food and saif was very cheerful and sorry i don't remember the name of other person and she was lovely as well.

great hostel with a perfect location, the workers are great and it’s super fun to stay there. the mattresses and pillows aren’t the best, but it’s a lovely hostel at a great price. loved my stay there.

it was a nice experience till... the was ok, just a bit claustrophobic on the kitchen as no windows being - 1. but here we are with the big trouble. the '' manager'' of the place is the rudest person i have meet since i travel so far. we almost had a proper fight because of me talking loudly and without good manner. I have seen also him talking very rudely to volunteer staff. hostel is nice and this guy destroyes totally the vibe. hope the owner will read the review :)

Great location and great staff. Amenities aren’t great but it is a calm hostel where you can get some rest and also go out with people if you want. Would stay here again

Receptionist came into the dorm at 2 am and violently shook my friend awake shouting that he was in the wrong bed even though we had stayed the night before as well, after waking the whole room up the receptionist left and came back only to say that my friend was in the right bed and checked the late arrival into another bed. When confronted the next day the receptionist said he was tired, not really an excuse. I would still recommend this hostel as the other staff were great just the one guy

Great hostel in Belgrade! Close to the city and lake

It's such a lovely hostel! Really good location and facility are clean! And the every staffs are so kind and lovely.

We asked the mir we could put our backs there for a des Hours and they let us do it! Was really nice!

Das Hostel könnte nicht besser liegen. Nachts ruhig, aber von allen bekannten Orten max. 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Jeden Abend plante das Hostel-Team eine gemütliche Veranstaltung und die Energie in der Gemeinschaftsküche im Keller war perfekt. Konnte so einige Jugendliche von überall kennenlernen, mit ihnen die Stadt erkunden und abends feiern. Für 4 Nächte 63€ war es auf jeden Fall wert.

Great hostel with very comfortable rooms. It's ideally located on the doorstep of a bunch of bars, restaurants, shops, ATMs, which makes life a lot easier. Vibe was good too and pretty social with the events the hostel holds.

Good experience and it was my first time in Belgrade, I hope to visit it next time, they didn’t have activities while I stay but the staff is amazing they recommend you places and you can share a good moment while you stay in Belgrade

I have nothing negative to say about this incredible hostel. Fantastic kitchen facilities, as a hostel such good cooking facilities. You can make anything here. Really nice common room, comfortable and open. The rooms are comfy and great beds, comfy and warm. The shower and toilet facilities are clean and fresh with good water pressure and hot water. The first day I got there, Daniel checked me in. I asked if I could have the bottom bunk in my dorm to which he said no because someone else would be staying in it. Nobody did for my whole stay, which was annoying as I much prefer the bottom bunk and he clearly didn’t check properly. However the other 2 staff members I saw working there, Saif and Sneza, were both really lovely. Security weren’t the best, as front door wasn’t always locked. Other than that, great place to stay.
