By far the most disgusting hostel I have stayed in, in over 10 years of travelling in hostels. Feaces left on toilet seats for the whole time I was there, the sheets were stained and the place such as hangers were falling apart. This place needs to be knocked down and rebuilt for it to be worth anyone’s money. Aside from this, the male staff member was rude as it gets to the cleaning staff and simply arrogant to me and other guests. I’m not one to complain but I urge no one to stay here.

There were crumbs on my bed when I arrived. Very cramped in the room together. Bathroom wasn’t clean and it was very far away from anything.

The dorm was dirty and smelled really bad even though we kept the window open at all time, doesn’t matter the weather. The bathroom is really inconvenient, you have no place to put your stuff. The kitchen is okay I guess, even though it’s really small for the number of people staying there and there’s no proper room to hang out in and meet others Location is ok Didn’t feel safe here as a female solo traveller in a mixed room, would never go back there again

My phone was stolen from my bed while I was sleeping. I ran to reception, panicking, and the guy didn’t care at all - just said, “What do you want me to do?” No help, no apology, nothing. Later found out 3 more people were robbed - cash, cards gone. Asked for CCTV? “Not working.” Police said CCTV could’ve helped. This place is a complete joke. No security, no care. STAY AWAY.

Horrible shower situation, stay away if you value a comfortable shower. Push button showers with a very short timer, most of the shower doors are broken. Uncomfortable beds and pillows, poorly designed bunks that offer little privacy even with a curtain. Lockers are wire baskets that aren’t big enough to fit a backpack or suitcase

smelt like a kennel, woke up with bites, probably bed bugs, very far out, i think its mostly people living there, overpriced

Allow several people to extend for months, and would not allow me. Discrimination against someone for being chosen is not acceptable.

Terrible experience!! It was traumatic having to return to the hostel every night. Dirty place, an extremely bad smell in the whole hostel, bedrooms included! I would rather call the "all you can eat" breakfast "all you can find", as there were very few things to eat that were just digusting. Very dirty kitchen and plates, we preferred to eat out every day. Just miserable!!! Very fake-kind staff. Unhygenic bathrooms. I couldn't get a proper night of sleep in one week. I don't recommend at all!

El hostal se encuentra muy retirado del centro, aunque eso puede no ser un problema si el resto de la experiencia fuera buena desafortunadamente no fue así. empezando porque el hostal tiene un olor extraño en todos los pisos, los baños son incómodos y sólo hay tres regaderas para todas las mujeres. además el agua sale 10 segundos y se quita, no hay forma de regular la temperatura y el espacio es demasiado pequeño. por otro lado, hay personas viviendo en el hostal y eso es incomodo

Definitely a pass do not stay here. It smells so so bad like musty socks everywhere you go. I felt very unsafe the whole time and there seemed to be a lot of long term residents who were very unfriendly. My things did feel very secure at any point and I did not feel welcome at all. Additionally some of the prices for the extra features are insane such as renting a towel. Overall DO NOT stay here especially if you are looking for a welcoming environment with nice people cause you will not find it

I had a really nice time here! Everyone was friendly and I love that they offer free dinner on certain nights. Would definitely come back!

I really enjoyed my stay at London Backpackers! All the friendly staff work hard to make guests feel welcome and keep the place clean and tidy, with frequent cleaning of the communal areas carried out during the day and night. They also arrange multiple gatherings each week with a free home cooked family dinner, followed by outings to different bars around the area. I particularly liked this as I was travelling solo and wanted to experience some night-life during my stay. definitely recommend!

Great friendly staff and social hostel

The hostel is clean and well-decorated and the staff were always very friendly. Was able to make some friends, but we are so far from city center that it takes a while to get anywhere and do anything. There are several nearby bus stops and a nearby international line. Keep in mind that they lock up their kitchen at midnight and their reception and common room at 1am, so if you go out at all you end up kind of stuck on the stairs. Staff was always helpful, and the common rooms were nice when open

Amazing place to stay. Reception is attentive and welcoming, The rooms are kept clean, and the hostel hosts many events for those looking to make friends. The hostel is conveniently located near a train station which makes it very easy to travel around the city, and there are many grocery stores and food eateries available 24/7 within walking distance. I’ve extended my stay here because of how amazing this place is. I highly recommend staying at this hostel.

Super recomendado

Really nice place to stay in. The tube station is less than a minute walk away and there is also 24/7 open supermarket. Hostel is quite clean and the staff is amazing. They also take you out to nightclub parties, so even if you are a little bit shy you will surely make new friends. I found people staying in the hostel easy to talk to and friendly, so we enjoyed many laughs, and hope that so will you. :)

J'ai bien apprécié mon séjour. L'auberge est un peu loins du centre ville, mais elle est très proche de la station de métro. Le dortoir pour femmes est bien aussi, je dirais simplement que le troisième lit en haut est peut-être un peu haut pour les gens qui ont le vertiges! Je trouve que l'auberge est très bien organisé avec ses étages et ses salles. Le décor est très beau aussi et c'est chaleureux. Je n'ai pas participé aux activités qui étaient organisées, mais ça avait l'air ...

It was my third time around and as usual it was very nice, great property and staff

Overall London Backpackers was a fantastic hostel. It definitely is a little far from central London but it’s located right next to the Hendon Central station which makes travel super accessible. The staff was lovely! They have free “family” dinners every Wednesday and Friday which just brings everyone together and makes it feel like home! I would definitely stay again and would encourage others to stay as well.

This was my first time staying at a Hostel and I really enjoyed it. The staff was helpful and I met many new people.

Great hostel and location, amazing staff! For that money it’s difficult to find anything better. Could be cleaner in some zones though. For me, people who cannot respect quiet hours ruined the vibe and chill but it’s like in every hostel: depends only on people and their personal culture.

we had to wait for 40 minutes to be let in when we arrived at 10pm. When we finally got in we had to wait another 20min to actually check in. The whole vibe was a bit off and it wasn’t super clean. Could be a fun time if you are a young single man.
