Skogsro Forest Hostel

The guy who runs it is all talks and no result. I agree with the other low star comment, unfortunately. The surrounding nature is amazing, you should just skip this place though if you’re looking to build connections or make a project

Never again. Everything looks good on the internet, but the reality is miles away. The kitchen doesn't cook, you eat from a common bowl, if you're a larger group, it's a massacre. The owner promised a residency program but came up with nothing. He just promised. I definitely do not recommend

I had absolutely amazing experience with this place. We have arrived in the evening and despite some troubles with Booking, everything was great. The owner even quickly repaired the sauna (which is btw amazing) so we could use it.

It was a wonderful vacation.

My stay at the Skogsro Forest Hostel was simply magical. I immediately felt at home thanks to the welcoming and warm hospitality. My room had an entire wall hand-painted with a gorgeous scene in nature and was super cozy! You're surrounded by the lush green forest with plenty of hiking opportunities and there's a lovely lake to swim in. Highly recommend!

Lovely hosts, clean and spacious bedrooms and common rooms! Hosts are putting a lot of effort into the accommation. Definitely recommend :)

Clean room, friendly staff and flexible check-in and check-out. Would stay there again!

Lost in the Skosgro forest, this hostel/hotel is a very nice quiet place to relax. The host is very nice and is creating plenty activities around the hostel. Floating sauna, hikes, viking carved stones and other places are to discover around the lake hostel. I definitely recommend this place! Thanks for the exchange

The host is nice and the place is very quiet and relaxing. It's a great place to enjoy a hike into the forest or experience some of the activities proposed by the staff. I totally recommand this place.

Et naturparadis med originalt kunstnerisk preg. Flere rom og servicedesk er håndmalt motiv av eier av Skogsro og runekunst, smie og badstu er også eier av Skogsro initiativ. Her er det et kreativt sinn i virke og mye hjerterom i luften, og perfekt for teambuilding og å kjenne på ro og god følelse i naturen. Bredt kompetansefelt for temakvelder som arrangeres på Skogsro, og et team som ivaretar gjester gjennom hele oppholdet

Sehr Ruhige Gegend erholungs ort sehr gutes essen und geräumige zimmer direkt neben einen wunderschönen see und einer Sauna perfekt um abzuschalten ich würde es persönlich sehr empfehlen und würde wieder kommen

Agradable

It s a special place, in the middle of nowhere with an amazing lake and the opportunity of stunning forest walks. The surroundings are very beautiful and awesome to discover. The rooms are clean and tidy, there is twin rooms with private bathrooms which are very comfortable. The place is a kind of unfinished, raw-like-a-diamond place which is amazing to observe in its development. It is a very refreshing nordic yet fascinating community and I would highly recommend a visit to Skogsro Forest Host...

absolutely beautiful location and great accommodations! the staff is so welcoming and I enjoyed getting to know the community organizers staying here as well. would highly recommend doing a roadtrip out here!

Die Mitarbeiter waren extrem gastfreundlich und haben uns vom Bahnhof abgeholt. Sehr schöne Lage in der norwegischen Natur und eine friedliche Atmosphäre. Wir würden sofort wieder kommen.

The accomodation is very comfortable. The people in the organisation are very nice, I had a lot of fun with them. I am looking forward to meeting them sometime again. It is really a winter wonderland out here. Jesus would have been pleased if he went here.

Skogsro Forest Hostel has been a nature lover's dream! The Twin Room was super cozy, and the surrounding area was wonderful! The staff are super welcoming, making the Nordic adventure seamless and truly amazing. Can't wait to return for another serene getaway! 🌲🌿
