Waardeloos hostel. Personeel achter de receptie kan amper normaal tegen je glimlachen. Werkelijk alles is teveel gevraagd. Gezien de hygiëne zijn de prijzen alsnog schofterig duur. Er zijn niet voldoende lockers voor het aantal gasten. Er is geen koelkast voor de gasten. Een tip voor allen: ga gewoon naar het dorp toe want er is zat ter plekke te boeken

Don't book this hostel - if this is the only property available, delay your visit until you can get a reservation at a different hostel.My app didn't say the dorm is actually hammocks despite the staff being insistent that it does. They also said there are photos of the hammocks when you book which I also checked and there aren't. The hammocks are old, really narrow so you can't get comfortable, not hung properly, and the mosquito nets also aren't set up properly.The whole property also smells.

I booked a dorm. i arrived they gave me a hammack. at first i was like, ok, its no big deal there was a mistake i will sleep in a hammack its part of the experience etc etc. the lady was trying to convice me that i rented a hamack when i was clear on hostelworld thay i paid for a bed. simmilar thing happened to a german couple that rent a private room and they ended up in a dorm of 4 with 3 beds already taken. i think they overbook and think spme people will come. dpnt go there

The hostel is at a really nice place, but the pictures make it more beautiful than it is. The dorms were not clean, there were animals walking around. Also, the beds were kind of smelling. The people who worked there were nice but they were very slow and they couldn't really answer our questions. They offer a lot of tours but the people who worked there didn't really know a lot about the tours so that was insufficient.

Die Lage der Unterkunft ist sehr gut. Allerdings gibt es kein WLAN und man kann nicht mit Karte zahlen, obwohl auf Website stand, dass man mit Karte zahlen kann. Es empfiehlt sich also, viel Bargeld mitzunehmen, da es im Ort auch keinen Bankomaten gibt. Wir haben eine Tour im Hostel gebucht und im Endeffekt eine andere gemacht, weil das Personal die falsche Tour für uns gebucht hat. Trotzdem mussten wir die falsche Tour bezahlen und es war leider sehr kompliziert, mit der Eigentümerin zu kommu...

Personnel pas très accueillant... Seul endroit où on a vraiment eu la sensation d'être qu'un "porte-monnaie" Coupure d'électricité plusieurs jours donc plus de possibilité d'écrire à nos proches. Nous avons eu aucun mot gentil ou de réconfort de la part du personnel (et je parle bien l'espagnol !) Je vous recommande les autres hôtels sur la plage qui sont très propre et accueillant (nous sommes allée manger et boire des limonades au coco délicieuses).

Didn‘t like it that much. There‘s no atmosphere because of only few people staying there and the staff didn’t really care that much. The floor on the way to my room was sandy, would have been better if they put woodflooring so the room upstairs didn’t get all dirty. The free breakfast was local and tasty. Facilities as showers and toilets were basic and relatively clean. The kitchen for guests didn‘t have a fridge.. wouldn‘t recommend. I ended changing my hostel to the Pelican which ...

We had a private room - it is rather a wooden hut and we didn't really feel comfortable in it, because of the humid feeling and since you can't put your cloths anywhere because of the dirt. The vibe was great tho - met great people. Anyways it seems the Humbpack lives of an old reputation, but doesn't put to much effort in it at the moment. The manager is not present, so all the staff members have to call her each time you have a request. Breakfast is very basic.

Beautiful hostel in an amazing location. El Valle is an incredible experience. The Hostel is so special, right on the beach. Patricia was the sweetest host. However some of the other staff members were quite rude, impatient and unhelpful. There a three meals a day, but the food is expensive and there’s only one small shop in town so be prepared for that. The kitchen is very basic. Beautiful to sleep in the jungle by the ocean but of course expects all the bugs and animal friends that come with...

Really enjoyed my stay here! Everyone is super friendly and the vibes are really chill. Reuben was also very helpful and was even helping me practice my Spanish!

Ein wunderschöner Ort, um lange zu bleiben! Das Hostel wird extrem gut verwaltet, wozu Ruben und Patricia, aber auch alle, die anderweitig hier arbeiten beitragen. Es ist unglaublich sauber, es gibt sehr gutes Internet und insgesamt ist die Atmosphäre einfach toll. Wenn es mal kein Internet oder Strom gibt liegt das daran, dass es im ganzen Dorf ausfällt- nichts wofür das Hostel etwss kann! Vielen Dank für die gute Zeit und auf ein Wiedersehen:)

really nice Hostel, directly in front of the beach, 20 minutes walk from the village. really nice atmosphere, nice people, social, well curated, lots of hammocks to chill in, volleyball net, the food was delicious and generous portions, all of the staff was really friendly (especially Ruben and Yenfa). would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in el Valle. it is worth the walk!✨ only the kitchen could use some more and better equipment (like additional stoves and better knives.

we had an excellent time staying at the humpback turtle. The location is paradise, the beds are comfortable and the meals are delicious and available for a reasonable price. the staff there are incredibly friendly aswell. Rubin was a huge help and comfort for me when my bag was lost on the tuk tuk ride from the airport. he was very concerned about the whole situation and came with me in his own time to the police station and helped to translate for me and in the end I was able to get it back

Very spacious, not cramped, but great to socialize as well, good rooms, good bar and food and great hosts!! Thank U Ruben🙏 Very Rastafari

Ich fand das Hostel perfekt! Es liegt direkt am Strand, wo man abends auch oft noch zusammen sitzt, alles ist sehr sauber, die Betten haben Moskitonetze (obwohl es quasi keine Mücken gab während ich da war) und alle Mitarbeiter*innen sind super nett und zuvorkommend. Man kann im Hostel Touren buchen und die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Es gibt aber auch immer sehr leckere Mahlzeiten, die man für einen fairen Preis dazubuchen kann. Besonders Ruben und Carlos waren super lieb und aufmerksam!

Had an awesome time at Humpback Turtle Hostel! The vibe is pure backpacker magic — super social, chill hammocks, and the sound of the ocean just a few steps away. The location and view are unbeatable, right by the sea with sunsets that are next level. The staff were amazing at organizing all kinds of activities — from surf lessons to jungle hikes — and the food was surprisingly good for a hostel! Perfect spot to relax, meet people, and enjoy the coast. 🐢🌅🌊

Would give this hostel 10 stars for the location, price and daytime staff, however we did not anticipate this hostel turning into a trance rave every evening from 5pm to (some nights) 6am the next day. The free breakfast slaps and the meals and experiences are well worth your money. The staff who are not from Bahia Solano treat it a bit like their own private party as it’s only them staying up each night. If you’re put in the dorm by the kitchen ask to move. Otherwise Bahia Solano is paradis...

Super Hostel, dans un cadre magique. La plage devant l'hostel est presque privative ce qui rend la baignade et l'expérience très agréable. Le service est de qualité et la nourriture est excellente !! Nous avons passé un excellent week-end !

Cet hostel est un havre de paix. On s'y sent très bien. Il est situé sur la plage, on peut y voir des baleines en sirotant son café ou sa bière. Les membres du staff sont adorables. L'ambiance est très chill, parfait pour déconnecter. Un grand merci au jardinier qui nous a aidé à faire un feu et à cuire les poissons que nous avions pêchés pendant la journée.

Super auberge au bord de la plage. L’auberge est très mignonne et le personnel très sympa. Ambiance chill mais lieux Idéal pour rencontrer du monde. Le petit-déjeuner est très copieux et les repas sont bons

Incredible hostel located right on Playa Almejal! Julian, Paula, Geraldine and the rest of staff were incredibly friendly and the hostel just had an incredible vibe! Would definitely come back.
