We booked a private room in the riad, but after paying the remaining balance on arrival, staff told us it was overbooked. They offered a “similar” room in another riad nearby, but it was not a riad—just an old, unattractive building. As it was late and we were staying one night, we didn’t argue. Later we saw other reviews mentioning the same issue. Very disappointing experience.
We had paid for a room of 6 and he put us in a room of 8, completely dirty and smelly, beds and blankets are stained. i told the staff about my reservation but besides not saying anything, the only thing he said was that the room was this. as soon as we arrived he was obliged to pay cash, despite me saying that i wanted to pay by card he did not answer and waited in silence until i had to accept.
Be careful! They try to scam you. Don’t use the airport service. They will try to overcharge. Also when checking in double check what they calculated! The rooms on the ground floor are horrible. No air and very noisy metal beds. The worst hostel I stayed in during my 2 weeks travels. Good luck!
Horrible service, sketchy neighborhood and people, employees didn't know how to do math.
Breakfast was very meager, no fresh orange juice or at least a mandarin, no milk for the coffee - it was our most expensive lodging with the worst breakfast. Some of the staff were very friendly, but one person was not helpful at all and did not want to give me the return money...
The stay was chaotic from the start. We booked a 6-bed room but were placed in an 8-bed room with two extra beds squeezed in, making the space extremely cramped. Our room was on the roof with very poor insulation and was freezing at night, making sleep difficult. There were no sockets near our beds. Toilets were smelly, only one had hot water despite cold weather (1–15°C), and the breakfast was very poor.
The hostel was cool but VERY crowded and unclean. Dust everywhere, cockroaches in the bedrooms and the bathrooms were foul. Fortunately the hostel was disorganised and didn't have a room for our group when were arrived, so they moved us to a different much cleaner, much nicer hostel that I now see on hostel world for 1/2 the price per night. The staff are very nice but this place is far from the best value or experience for a Riad in Marrakesh
The hostel was not safe. A random man walked into our female group’s room at 3:30am and tried to pull my blanket off of me from the top bunk. The second night, my bed was covered in dirt and mold and I woke up equally as dirty. There were not any lockers to store your personal items in and the bed and blankets smelled of body odor. I did not feel safe or clean during my stay here.
Our experience at this hostel was extremely disappointing. The facilities were very poor — we even saw cockroaches crawling on the beds. The showers and toilets smelled terrible. The bed sheets and towels were filthy, full of holes, and clearly hadn’t been properly cleaned in a long time. There was no sense of security at all. The doors didn’t lock, which made us feel unsafe leaving our belongings in the room. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
Not safe for women, read the comments in google a few weeks ago. Apparently they tried to close 2 girls in rooms in two situations in September. Cockroachs are everywhere in the kitchen or toilets...no higiene at all. The people working there follows you if you go to the kitchen or if you go to the rooftop making weird checks on you as if you are doing something wrong for only being there. Also I was pressured to make 5stars review, for 3 times.Drinking not allowed.Book other hostel

nice place in Medina. other guest were cool people. downside was: hostel staff was doing bare minimum.
Amazing Hostel, Great location just a few minute walk from main Square very clean and they offer free breakfast and towels for shower very helpful staff who will help with anything you need Mohammed and Said were great
Best location
Chill, cheap, easy going place. It’s quiet, but social you can meet some friends or message in app. If you’re fine staying in a hostel and want to be close to the town this place is perfect, definitely the best choice for a low cost good experience. Mohamed and said were very chill, and it was nice to have someone awake in the place for security. Our stuff felt pretty safe and so did we.
The riad is one of the best accommodations I’ve seen in Marrakech in terms of location; everything was good.
Simo was the best host ever! He looked after me super well. I had the loveliest time at Riad Dia. The location as well as the level of hospitality were unparalleled. Would definitely come back! Thanks guys :)
Riad Día is a fantastic hostel to stay at. Staff are incredibly happy and helpful. Beds clean and comfy. Having breakfast included is amazing. The rooftop terrace is definitely a highlight.
I had an amazing stay here I would defo recommend :)
Very nice property. Close to big square in Medina, and staff are very welcoming and friendly.
Staff were lovely and people are really friendly the breakfast is great I’d really recommend!
This was a great stay! Rooftop patio was great! All the staff were amazing!
Really nice hostel. Great location, nice and clean, lovely staff. Overall a really nice stay!
The hostel was very accommodating, the staff was easy to communicate with, especially if needed to make an extension, very flexible. And of course a very beautiful hostel overall, spacious for social activities or to just lounge around. It’s located conveniently right on the outskirts of the big market plaza, but tucked away from the chaos of the plaza, so it is nice and quiet throughout the day as well.
Super séjour, et j’ai pu participer au tour opérateur jusqu’au Sahara c’était super !
Great stay, and I was able to participate in the tour operator's tour to the Sahara was great!
