No hot water in the sink. Shower hot water cut twice on me and cold water is really cold. Beds were comfortable but room was absolutely freezing at night. Towels were not up to standard and when we requested new ones they came back wet and they had stains. On the other hand staff was great and gave us lots of info about Ollantaytambo. Definitely needs a revamping
From the moment we arrived, we felt unwelcome. The main issue was a price discrepancy: our booking confirmation stated 131 sol, but the host tried to charge 144 sol, citing card payment fees. After pointing this out, he offered 137 sol in cash, claiming Hostelworld's rate was too high. The host also criticized the site and insisted it was impossible to exchange money at our rate. The room was small, lacked bedside lights, and had no place to hang clothes. Overall, I regret staying here.
I arrived at the hostel and had to call to make them open the door, then they said they were closed that day. Do not recommend this place
I paid to reserve my stay here. there was no one there and I had to go to another bed and breakfast. Still waiting for my refund.
What a joke. The showers were cold even after the owner “fixing” them. The rooms were full of those horrible sand fly bugs. When I checked out the card machine wasn’t working even though it’s advertised you can pay with card. Then having to pay in cash the owner didn’t have any change?! He kept accusing me of not wanting to collaborate cause I couldn’t pay exact. 🤯 Don’t waste your time, there’s better places around. It was also way out of town.
Isn’t on good maps which seems unnecessary. Did not receive the “private ensuite we reserved. Bathroom had no soap. The guy took our cash payment and said he will get change back to us later, never did. We had to ask for it when we checked out. He then told us to go upstairs and get the towels and key to give to him because people steal his towels. Huge list of rules, i wouldn’t reccomend anyone stay here. Also the mountain view is just a 3rd story balcony, nothing unusual or special.
Not a great hostel for the money. Very far out of the town. The views are really the only thing that make this hostel worth while. Facilities are below average. One shower for lots of beds. Not enough light in the dorms (super dark!).
Excellent mountain views in a lovely town, although the hostel is a fair bit back from town and not great value for money at all.
Stayed for one night, clean and comfy beds, not too far from the centre but the owner came across a little rude. Was very particular about the keys as if he’d been previously bothered by someone forgetting a key or not knowing how to use it. Check in included a tutorial of how to open a gate but no tour of the hostel or anything else. Price is a little high, especially as there isn’t a kitchen you can use.
The owner upgraded us after my mistake in booking which was very much appreciated. Rooms and showers were very clean. Despite past reviews, the showers do have hot water, just use them properly as per any on-demand system. The walk out is not far and doesn't require any special fitness skills. We were able to leave our bags for the day, and we're pleasantly greeted by a very nice lady upon our return. This hostel is for sleeping only, Rules about doing anything else is forbidden.

the 3th floor patio with sight to the mountains, and I was lucky one of the 2 night I stayed I had a wonderful view at night. plus our room was super clean comfortable
It seems to be a family-run hotel; they go out of their way to keep the entire place spotless and provide reliable internet service throughout the property and in all the rooms. The cherry on top is the terrace with its fabulous views—I highly recommend it.
I came to Casa Samay because a friend recommended it to me; I was looking for a place to relax, and the location and the view are exactly what you want when you visit the Sacred Valley. It’s one of those places where you really don’t suffer from altitude sickness and you sleep well thanks to the peaceful atmosphere.
I enjoyed my stay at this cozy, very comfortable, and clean accommodation—far awayfrom the big turistic crowdsand you really able to rest my private room had a nice view to the sacred valley and a tv to whach your series ,by the way wifi works good really strong signal ,totally recommended
We spent two days in the valley to acclimatize to the altitude, as we hadn't felt well in Cusco. We stayed in a private room with mountain views; it must be said that the room was very clean and well-maintained, with a hot shower and very strong Wi-Fi. The following day, we visited Moray and Chinchero with the owner of the hotel; we truly had an excellent day exploring the valley at our own pace—without rushing—which is something I highly recommend.
The view from the rooftop patio is spectacular, the owners are kind and hospitable, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Excellent stay in Ollantaytambo :)

A cozy, family-run inn located in a beautiful spot with stunning views It’s very clean and offers hot showers and high-speed internet, so you can take care of everything you need during your trip. Highly recommended
a beautiful view from the terrace, the hostel was very clean, and I was able to rest very well

Hola!
clean and hot showers but i felt uneasy. the location on google maps is wrong and the area is outside of town so a late arrival means evening to super quiet. no lockers in the rooms(atleast mine). i got her and then left the next morning
was a lovely stay on the edge of the wonderful Olantaytambo. The owner is amazing and will help you with everything you need. he really helped me out with last minute organisation with a big group. lovely views from the roof top onto the surrounding farming area and mountains and town. highly recommend
The hostel has a beautiful view, it's very basic hostel and a bit of a walk into the main area. No breakfast so be prepared to go for a walk or bring water and snacks with you.
Het uitzicht van dit hostel is echt fantastisch!!! Bovendien was de eigenaar me aardig in het adviseren voor activiteiten en door me rond te reizen door de sacred valley.

Mountain View House is about 12 minutes from the centre of Ollanta. It is safe and quiet and the owner is friendly (he even took me to Cusco).UIt was also very clean. However, the dorm with my bed was so small that you could hardly turn around. The lights and heater are in economy mode, so it was too dark to read at night and rhe shower was only lukewarm.
Clean room and bathroom, beautiful landscape from the room, nice staff.
