Hostel Detroit

Clean facilities, decent but not ideal location. Friendly staff at check-in shared local tips, but none were seen for two days. On checkout, no staff was present to store my backpack. The WhatsApp number provided wasn’t linked to WhatsApp. Reached someone midday who said I could leave my bag, but the U.S. number was unusable as a foreigner without a plan. Lugging my bag ruined my last day, limiting activities. Great facilities, but absent staff and poor communication were frustrating.

No facilities. No plugs in room. No lockers in room. Bed not made. Front desk not available during normal work hours

The hostel is located outside of town and the area is either empty or with old buildings. The kitchen is okay. For a few nights it's okay

Highly Recommend. Biggest downside was the location, but maybe just because it was freezing cold and made walking less exciting. Loved the bike rental though!

I really liked it. It’s a bit away from downtown but it’s in a good location. There really wasn’t anyone there at that time since I went in the off season but the workers were really knowledgeable and kind. It’s a great place if you’re there just for a football or baseball game and want to hangout with some folks.

Buen sitio y el que me atendió buena onda. Lo único que odie fue el hecho q las camas no tenían sujetador y como me mueve me dio miedo caerme y dormí en el sillón :) fuera de eso, es un muy buen hostel

Located on the edge of Detroits gentrified neighborhood. Easy to go to and from Downtown on a Lime scooter. Really clean and my only beef was with the bunk beds as they are creaky and loud. Huge thanks to the staff for letting me check in early so I could nap after a red a flight 🤗

Only negative I have is the room was very hot making it difficult to sleep.

Excellent location for downtown exploring. Corktown full great eating and drinking establishments. I got there by car so easy place to find and park. My second time here.

Auberge très charmante, joliment décorée avec plusieurs espaces communs et pour chiller. Elle est idéalement située à 5mn de la Michigan Ave et du Corktown district, là où il y a pas mal de bars et restau. On est environ à 35mn à pieds du "centre-ville", mais le chemin est plaisant en passant par la Michigan Ave. Je ne suis restée qu'une nuit, donc difficile d'évaluer l'ambiance.

It was great, can’t wait to visit Detroit again and stay here again.

Perfectly serviceable, great location. Front door, door to the wing our room was in, and our room door code were all the same, so it’s not a far leap to assume the same for everyone. Not great. I disliked where that they had a chalkboard in the entryway where they write your name and room number to “welcome” you. I find that creepy on a good day and transphobic on a bad one as they just use your legal name. They also burned incense which gave me a migraine for two days.

Really cool and authentic spot in the heart of Detroit. Bunk beds are a bit rickety and loud, but that’s the only con I can think of.

I absolutely loved my stay here. The vibes are immaculate and truly feel like a home away from home.

Super unique hostel & overall space showcasing what makes the city great. Definitely had a comfortable stay. Would stay again.

10/10 would recommend! Super friendly and considerate. Even let me borrow a lock to secure my things when my lock didn’t fit. Very smooth and easy stay.

Great place to stay. Very close to everything. The hostel was clean and very secure.

Great spot! Walked from downtown and it was fine. Also, two Mogo bike stations nearby so very easy to get to. Bed was comfy and lots of cute little spaces to chill. Staff was friendly and kitchen had anything you need. Highly recommend!

Amazing hostel! Was there for the Detroit marathon. everything was clean comfortable! I really enjoyed my stay. Perfect location!! Will definitely stay there again when I’m back in Detroit.!!

I had a fantastic stay! The staff were super helpful and friendly. I highly recommend renting a bike to explore Detroit at your own pace. The kitchen is very well equipped, everything was clean, and the team is really flexible. Definitely a great hostel I would love to return to!

It was super clean, friendly staff, lockers for stuff for early/late check in/out. Cool folks staying there, provided fan and earplugs - and cool room. Would highly recommend, felt fine walking from hostel to downtown!

Toilets were having some problems.

I am working on a house nearby, and this jewel of a hostel is a perfect place to stay out of the construction dust, and to meet and talk to friendly people. I’ve lived in the D for two years and wish I found this place sooner.

Really good place for travelers. Staff are really kind and good answer for questions. I am not expecting this good place is Detroit located. Building is also beautiful. Thank you every hostel Detroit people
