Cheers Midtown Hostel

COLD. A/C not working. It will probably be hot in the summer. The heater keeps the pre-hypothermia threshold. Not enough.

Perfect place for travelers! The location was ideal, close to everything I needed, and the staff ibo & hesham made me feel right at home. The atmosphere was super social — met some amazing people here. Would definitely come back!.

The facilities were unusable. The water very cold, the shower was very cold and I couldn’t feel safe because the creepy neighbours were in the common area.

To me it’s not clear how this “Hostel” can have such a high rating. During my stay the heating was not working properly. First it was dangerously cold, then it got so hot that you sweat under the blanket and afterwards it was dangerously cold again. The staff wanted to be helpful and so they provided me an additional blanket, which didn’t help either. The location is basically the only good thing for here.

Definitely overrated... I dont know why and how but there are much better hostels in İstanbul which has lower rates than this one for same price. Hangers are broken very dirty bathrooms toilets very old building dorm rooms smelling bad... and no hostel vibes

Not quite the dirtiest place I have ever stayed at. But in the top two. So noisy one can't sleep. don't waste your money.

Het hele hostel zat vol met bedwantsen. Wij verbleven er met 19 man en hebben alle matrassen gecontroleerd en op de meerderheid zaten bedwantsen waarvan sommige leefden. Het personeel hielp ons wel maar stond ondertussen ook te blowen. De dag daarna een vervelende discussie met de eigenaar gehad die ons de schuld gaf en ons voor twee nachten liet betalen en voor de overige twee wel ons geld terug gekregen.

Dirty bathrooms, hostile and unfriendly staff, unsocial atmosphere. One of the bathroom's toilet seat was broken for two days. The AC in my room was not working for multiple days. I slept in sweat for 2 days. Even though I extended my stay by paying more money in advance, the staff 'by mistake' allocated it to someone else and threw my stuff away. Instead of apologizing, the staff started shouting in Arabic. My female friend said she felt uncomfortable and unsafe here.

It doesn’t look like the pictures at all. The room was much more deteriorated than expected. There is only one toilet per floor so it gets very crowded. The kitchen was also in very bad condition. The location is good but there are much better options for the same price.

+ Nice staff Great location - Extremely noisy: just next to the street. I had the feeling to be in the street. Also, the door was so loud while opening. I had earplugs but I was waking up every time somebody entered the room. And finally, a girl just stayed up until 2 a.m. doing god knows what in the room and making so much noise, leaving the light on. The other girls in the room weren’t really nice and social. Bathroom and room were quite dirty. Overpriced for what you get.

Good place overall. Would be better if the beds had curtains & individual lights. Overall good vibes, great location, friendly down to earth staff.

Cheers midtown hostel was very good hostel, All parole there travelers and staff they were super social. Good events ,good music and good vibe. I will definitely go back there

The hostel overall is quite worn out. I've been here four years ago and back then it used to be a much better place. Wifi here sucks as well.

Great place to use if you’re on a budget. Situated uphill and I bit of the way. But definitely walking distance to shops and sea front. Could have been cleaner and the photos are definitely better than the actual place. Friendly, helpful staff. I would stay again if I was to pass through Istanbul again on a budget.

The staff were super helpful and friendly. The location was excellent for seeing the sights of Istanbul. Highly recommend.
