- On January 9, I returned to my assigned room (Room 210). My key initially did not work, so my partner and I went to the front desk to have it reissued. Hotel staff provided us with a working key without informing us that the room had been reassigned or that our belongings had already been removed. Upon entering Room 210, I discovered that our belongings were gone and that another guest’s belongings, clearly belonging to a male guest, were inside the room. I entered the room believing it was still assigned to us. This created a serious safety risk, as another guest could have been present in the room at that moment, including in a vulnerable or compromising situation. This exposed me to the risk of confrontation, personal harm, or other unsafe circumstances caused by the hotel’s failure to communicate. After returning to the front desk, I was informed that our belongings had been removed from the room and placed in large plastic bags downstairs. These bags were left unsecured and unattended in a public area. Our undergarments were visible inside the bags, creating an additional and serious breach of privacy and dignity. Sensitive personal items, including passports and cash, were not secured separately but were placed inside the same plastic bags along with clothing. Anyone could have accessed or taken these items. This handling of our personal property was done without our consent and represents a severe failure of basic security standards. Despite the hotel having my correct phone number on file, which I later confirmed with staff, I was never contacted before, during, or after this incident. No warning, explanation, or attempt to notify us was made at any point. We were subsequently relocated to a smaller room (Room 320). After the relocation, we discovered that some of our belongings were missing
+ The ambiance and front desk staff were nice, but they did not really help with the stolen item issue in our room.
- Staff and management were not responsive regarding stolen property from our room. The lockers are useless: they are open at the back, and the metal mattress supports can be easily lifted, allowing access to everyone’s belongings. The front desk staff were aware of this issue and told us that management was also aware. This situation is unacceptable. I did not feel safe at all and did not enjoy my stay.
+ The location
- I booked a 6-bed dorm and expected at least a basic level of sleep. Unfortunately, that was not the case. During the night, one guest was extremely loud for hours, snoring, talking and turning the lights on repeatedly from around 3:00 AM. It was impossible to sleep. The person appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. I contacted the hostel during the night to report the situation, explaining that it had already been going on for hours. Nothing was done that actually solved the problem. At the front desk, I was told verbally that a refund might be possible because of the situation. I left thinking this would be handled afterward. After my departure, when I followed up, the hostel denied any refund and stopped engaging. No written explanation, no solution. Overall, the experience showed poor control of shared rooms at night and very disappointing customer service once the stay was over. If sleep, clear communication and accountability matter to you, I would not recommend staying here

- Everything is in neglect. AC is extremely noisy. Everything is dirty. And very depressing vibe. One of the worst places I’ve ever been. And quite pricy. Avoid going there

- Very dirty, carpets are stained beyond filthy. It’s a large hostel and has a lot of one night stays. Smells of stale food.Unnecessarily loud techno music all night. Staff are unfriendly.

- Dorms were really suffocating
- La femme de ménage a pris des vêtements en même temps que mon drap par erreur (drap qui a été changé après une seule nuit alors que je ne restais que 2 nuits d'ailleurs...). Ils n'ont pas été volés par quelqu'un d'autre (n'importe quelle voleuse aurait pris le top qui allait avec le short disparu et qui se trouvait à 5cm). Je l'ai signalé le soir à l'accueil qui devait faire passer le message pour le lendemain matin. Finalement, rien n'a été fait, j'ai dû tout réexpliquer à la personne de l'accueil le matin. Réponse du manager ? (Après avoir attendu 45 min qu'il daigne se montrer) Fuire l'hôtel à l'heure où il m'avait indiqué qu'on en reparlerait avant mon départ pour l'aéroport et ignorer au maximum mes appels / mails / messages. J'ai quitté Miami sans les deux vêtements disparus, et évidemment sans remboursement, même partiel. Une semaine après, toujours pas de vêtements, et aucun remboursement ! Rendez-vous service et choisissez une autre auberge !

For the price, I expected at least to have a space in my room that would be used to charge my cell phone, the atmosphere in the area is very good
Best hostel ever! They really care about everything. The rooms are super clean, and the people are so nice. It’s also super close to the beach. What else could you want? Thanks Viajero for being so kind to me as a solo traveler. I definitely recommend staying there!

Auberge très bien située. Énormément d'activités organisées pour faciliter les rencontres grâce à l'implication de Béa. Points négatifs: c'est la première fois que j'ai eu l'impression qu'il y avait "des intrus" dans une auberge (marginaux qui rentrent parce qu'ils ont vu de la lumière), mais ce n'est pas de la faute de l'auberge. Les infrastructures pourraient être rénovées (pression dans les douches, fenêtres et stores abîmés). Je recommanderais cette auberge pour un sé...
Hostel very well located. Plenty of activities organized to facilitate meetings thanks to the involvement of Béa. Negative points: this is the first time I have had the impression that there were "intruders" in a hostel (marginals who come back because they saw light), but it is not the hostel's fault. The infrastructure could be renovated (pressure in the showers, damaged windows and stores). I would recommend this hostel for a stay in Miami Beach !
Still a great spot but I’d still like to see a few things change. 1) The folks who work in the front desk in the evenings should be a bit more welcoming, not the friendliest. 2) bathrooms need an upgrade. 3) kitchen is not a kitchen, need a better way to cook. 4) a full time event host or coordinator who’s in a staff shirt or lanyard would be super helpful for guest. Best hostel in Miami, yes, but work needed.
Things I wished I knew before coming! Bathrooms are inside the dorms, I was in a 10 bed and could only get the bathroom maybe 1/6 times I needed it. There is one public bathroom downstairs that's dirty and never has TP. The whole place is dingy and not very clean. The pool and patio areas close 1am and often remain closed past noon. Hammocks from pics don't exist. No outlets available, the one in bed is an outdated usb inlet. Vibe is very frat party, wouldnt reccomend to queer or alt folks.
the location is great and the bed is comfortable. There is serious upgrading needed, overall its pretty grubby. the lift is a hit or miss, it may arrive and you sometimes get to where you are wanting to go. There are some events organised but there isn't really a sense of community.
Been here twice. Both times were great, and I will probably visit them again. Highly recommend it for its location to the beach, friendly staff, cleanliness, and overall vibe. You wont regret it.

The cubicles in the bedroom are fine, the location is wonderful, but the bedrooms are old, the bathroom is in my condition, with several things broken.
Viajero Miami is a good hostel if your main goal is to meet people and party. The social atmosphere was definitely the best part of my stay. It had a younger crowd, more of a 20–30 vibe, and people were actually down to go out, so I ended up making a lot of friends. The location is also great, only about a 5-minute walk to the beach. One more thing: I thought the hostel pub crawl was a waste of money. They charged $25 per person and took us to dead bars where our group was basically the only ...
Mica was super helpful! The cleaning staff are very respectful and everything is clean and smells nice, beds are nice and location is great! The hostel even has a restaurant connected to it.
Well located hostel with clean rooms and facilities. My room (4-person) was very good and had storage spaces for valuables (bring a lock). Some rooms may be more exposed to outside noise at night. The atmosphere was nonexistent and staff hardly did anything except check guests in and out. There are some events but they were poorly attended and always started 30 minutes or more late, if at all. Most other guests stuck to themselves and were clearly only there because of the low lodging price
preis-leistungs-verhältnis einfach nicht gut. viel zu teuer für ein hostel. ich habe viele Bekannschaften gemacht. Das Personal war nicht wirklich nett. Es ist auch sehr komisch mit dem Restaurant und der Bar hinten aufgebaut, es ist nicht klar was zum Hostel gehört. Vor allem das Personal im Restaurant empfand ich als unfreundlich. Die Einrichtung ist ziemlich gut, die Betten sind genug breit. Die Badezimmer sind ziemlich neu und sauber. Die organisierten popcrawls sind sehr monoton.
I did a lot of research. The staff was not really neat. It's also very funny with the restaurant and bar set up in the back, it's not clear what belongs to the hostel. Especially the staff in the restaurant I find unfriendly. The furnishings are pretty good, the beds are wide enough. The bathrooms are pretty new and clean. The organized popcrawls are very monotonous.
Had a great stay
My stay at Viajero Miami was perfectly fine but felt more like a hotel than a hostel. If you speak Spanish, it’s probably a great choice, but as a non-Spanish speaker it was harder to connect and it didn’t feel very social compared to other hostels. The location is excellent, right on the beach, but the rooms were freezing—blankets were available if you asked, which helped a bit.
