Jiran Hostel

Very clean hostel but staff were not the most helpful or accommodating. Had a lot of unnecessary rules that made it difficult for solo backpackers to get by. They sent self check in instructions which never worked because it was broken and if it wasn’t for a guest who happened to be outside when I checked in, I wouldn’t have probably made it inside. I was coming from far and I texted on what’s app and they didn’t care and never answered when I couldn’t get in until after I got in.

My stay was satisfactory. I found some of the staff rather rude and unhelpful. The women who checked me in were lovely however the staff i spoke to when trying to check out were unprofessional and unhelpful. I did not receive my full deposit back because of a tiny tiny splotch of stain on the sheet which would have easily come out if it was washed. Also the social vibe was not inviting at all. Only good thing was comfy bed and clean. Not a great hostel overall

Petit déjeuner avec seulement de la crème de cacahuète, pas facile pour les personnes allergiques … La Clim est réglée à 20 degré et la nuit cela nous a rendu malade La femme de ménage rentre dans la chambre à 8h30 am pour changer le sac poubelle … Les filles de l’accueil sont super gentils et serviables, pas mal d’activités proposés, bonne localisation et propre.

This hostel is still new and still lacking of necessity such as fridge and microwave comparing to other hostel I've stayed in kk. But this hostel has potential to grow because it's location and quite modern. Besides that, I had a pretty good sleep there! Best of luck Jiran Hostel😉

Super comfy beds, really clean linens! Loved it. Not super social but if you want a clean super comfortable stay then here's your place.

Booking directly with them is cheaper than HW. Next time might just book 1 night here and extend with them directly

Positives: Great location, decent value for a last minute booking, friendly staff, comfortable pillows and blankets. Negatives: 1 major problem: reception/security is NOT 24 hours. They close at 6 pm and open at 9 am. Emergency? forgot your keys? have problems with a fellow traveller at night? Gotta wait till they come back at 9 am. There were at least 3 incidents that happened during my 3 night stay of people not being able to get into their rooms. No emergency line either. Ridiculous!!

位置不错，就在曙光商场旁边，夜市也在旁边。宿舍很干净，缺点就是不遮光🥲，而且临街有点吵，摩托声音比较大。

A very comfortable stay. The beds are super cozy and come with a duvet (backpacker luxury!). The social space is pretty small and therefore it’s not the most social hostel I’ve stayed in. But, it was comfortable and perfect for a few days of rest. I will say the doors are heavy and loud, I’d recommend earplugs if you have an early morning.

Great hostel! Clean & comfortable, lovely staff and good location.

We had a great stay at Jiran. If you're looking for a clean, cozy and quiet hostel this is for you! It's also close to some cafes, restaurants and convenience stores. The staff is not there 24/7 but when they are they make sure everything is clean and organized. Definitely recommend!

Great value for money, good location. I visited during low season, so hostel was quite and not much socialising.

We had a great stay at this hostel. The location is perfect — there are lots of food options nearby, and it’s also very close to the pier. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the place was clean and well-kept. The bed was surprisingly big, soft, and super comfortable. Overall, a really nice hostel for couples to stay and relax

Spotless, central, comfortable. Nice social space. Tea/coffee, boiling & drinking water available at all times. Staff could not have been more helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Superbe hostel propre, agréable et bonne localisation

Probably one of the cleanest hostels. Unfortunately the doors are like freezers.

Super séjour, l'auberge est très propre, les chambres sont bien agencées. Il y a une belle pièce commune pour dîner tous ensemble.

Loved it here, felt so safe, lots of people around, such a nice atmosphere. Staff were lovely. Rooms were so clean and modern. Also really good location near the jetty and lots of nice cafes.

Nice little hostel in the middle of KK! Comfy beds, small but nice little common area to have a chat, friendly staff too. Found it to be a nice vibe of travellers passing through and a good place to meet people also travelling throughout Borneo/Sabah!
