I ha my shirt and my food stolen, people were having sex in my room, and the staff did not do anything, worst experience!

Great hostel and great location. I always dock a point when they add extra charges for card. It’s 2025 just include it in the price shown even if you have to raise them a little. People don’t carry that much cash.

Allen and Armando at the front Desk were very accommodating at all times. Though despite being portrayed as this so call social hostel. It does not live up to the hype by any means. The manager is also a liar and a greedy person. One who does not follow through with his word neither does he check up when promised something. They need to change the management there!

Party hostel. Good for socializing, but not for sleep. Dead cockroach in the room. Manager mean when we complained. Said this is to be expected and that he could take it out with “his bare hands”.

I didn't like the hostel at all. The bed shook until 3 a.m. because the music was so loud. Party hostel or not, but you should also give people the opportunity to sleep. The bathroom was disgusting. It was cleaned far too rarely. Checked out a night early because I couldn't have stood another night.

4p dorm was moist and had a moldy smell, only a window to the hallway which made it noisy and if they move chairs on the top floor you hear it loud and clear, dirty curtains around the bed and the dorm was not clean upon arrival - there were no other people. They made a mistake with the payment twice, charged differently then the amount on hostelworld and made it our problem instead of theirs. We slept in a suite, the room was full of mold and a strong smell of mold, not clean (I had a fingernail on the dresser next to the bed) there was a water break (not the hostel's fault) but they didn't announce it even though they realized there was a problem. The employees are nice, and the location is good, but we were really disappointed by the room, which was unpleasant to stay in. BED BUGS, DON’T SLEEP IN HERE. I had my worst experience ever in a hostel. My friends got bitten everywhere. They haven’t charged us for the rooms and what we’ve consume, but they refuse to pay for the express program in the laundry, and they also refuse to pay for the laundry of the people that weren’t in the room - but like we’re friends, staying together. The hostel is located in really good spot. The toilet in the dorms really dirty and humidity smell I barely stand it!!! The bed is not comfortable and room really hot because they turn on ac something like around 9 pm to 9 am Except that the staff , some of them are nice and giving good service like the blond guy at reception and few of the bartenders but some of the staff especially the girls are very pushy and there were too much se**l vibe they try to enter you to

I arrived on a Thursday night to find the rooftop bar completely empty, and heard a group had already left earlier because of the atmosphere. Despite working at a social party hostel, the rooftop staff member seemed uninterested in engaging with guests and declined every opportunity for interaction, instead focusing on talking with her male partner. It noticeably affected the atmosphere and probably bar spending. The receptionist “Speedy Gonzales” was excellent and very welcoming throughout.

The hostel did not organize anything during my stay and there were no social events at all. In the morning, at midday, and in the evening, nothing was planned for guests. I only had contact with the staff during check-in and check-out. There was no effort to bring people together or create activities. Overall, Che Hostel in Playa del Carmen and Tulum was very disappointing.

For me one of the best hostels i have been so far during my travels! The room was clean, there was a nice rooftopbar+pool and an open kitchen. The location was perfect too! Many thanks to the whole stuff, especially Eugenio and Joaqin!!

The rooms is great, very big and there is a place to put all the luggage, there is hot water in the shower all the time! And the stuff very kind and helpful!

I had a great time. the workers were very helpful and friendly, gave a lot of recommendations. there is a great way to party and socialize. i will recommend if you want something calm and chilling to go to a different hostel

I had an amazing stay at Che Bacalar!! The place is really clean and tidy while also being super social and just great vibes in general. The staff really make it what it is and big shoutout to Josie on reception for being so welcoming straight away! Also thanks to Adriana, Griss, Kevin, both of the Diego’s, Eduardo, David, Emma, Alondra and Citlali for making it such a great stay!!! I will be back!

All the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. We enjoyed our private room for the 3 of us women and felt very safe. A very walkable location to the beach and 5th street. Thank You CHE

stayed for over a week. when I tried to extend to a private room they made me checkout at 11am and wait until 3pm to check-in again which seems to be inconsiderate as they didn't mention it while paying for extention. Also they said we get a better deal when book at reception but ended up paying USD 5 extra than what's on Hostelworld. Bartender girl was grumpy and on phone all the time. Rooms were okay but staff could've been better. Not much activities organised by staff here compared to other

Muy recomendable! Los chicos de recepción (Eugi, Alan, Joaco y Chalo) unos genios! Siempre bien predispuestos para recomendar y ayudar en lo que se necesite. Tambien se encuentran actividades todos los días por parte del staff que están muy buenas y animan a todos para participar, el bar lo mismo siempre con la mejor onda y buena vibra! Gracias a todos!

I loved my stay at Che in Playa del Carmen! They organize loads of activities and staff is incredibly helpful; Gonzalo made sure I had everything I needed and gave great recommendations for my stay! I would come back any time; the only thing I didn’t love was that both rooms Istayed in had no windows and were a bit stuffy and dark but I guess that’s just the nature of the building. Location is super central and it was very clean.

Location was great! So close to the ferry and 5 mins walk to the shops. Only issue is that the toilets don’t always flush.

Really friendly staff, welcoming and helpful with tips about the area and also get involved with creating a good atmosphere for social events. Good rooms with comfortable beds with lots of charging points etc.

I had the best time in Che playa! I stayed in a private room which was super specious and well equipped. There were social activities every night (and day!) which was definitely the highlight! Special shoutout to Fernando and Tomy from the experience team and Alan and Eugenio from reception who made my first time in Central America into one of my most comfortable and fun stays! I will definitely be back!!
