I woke up every morning at 7 a.m. to the shouting of the staff, someone came to my room to clean every morning at 9 a.m., and I was on the 6th floor. I couldn't sleep all night because of the noise of a machine I didn't know what it was. I sent my laundry to the laundry and it didn't look clean at all. When I booked, I saw a picture of a room with a balcony and booked that one, but the room I stayed in didn't even have room to walk around, let alone a balcony. Tea and coffee were also extra,
I had a positive impression upon staying the first time (6 bed female dorm). The second time, I booked a 4 bed female dorm (advertised as deluxe) to have more privacy with the same quality, as evidenced by photos of the room. However, the room was tiny and cramped, with barely enough space to walk and the bathroom was worse. The beds didn’t have stairs like the photos but rather ladders and everything was old and rusty. The staff moved me but this is a s*** and they can’t get away with it!
checked out early after finding a hotel with a guy from a guided tour. after checking out, staff messaged joking if we where booking a honeymoon room with a queen bed. Highly inappropriate and unnecessary
Hostel is decent but not sociable at all. The 4 bed deluxe dorm was tiny and not worth the price
The people working at this hostel are very nice and always ready to help you out(10/10)! The beds were comfortable and clean. However, the common area is not as big as the pictures, it is not very social and 250.000 dong a night in a dorm is quite expensive as breakfast is not even included(80.000 dong)…
The hostel is located right in the center of the Old Quarter, bathrooms are nice, breakfast is not included, there isn’t much of a vibe in the only communal area (the reception/breakfast and bar area), and I felt like the bed sheets were not cleaned properly as they felt greasy. On top, lack of privacy due to the curtains not closing fully
Great location, locker was big. Bed however was small and I am 5'8 (175cm) so if you're tall you wont fit and your legs will have to go under the bars. Also, there was a security issue with our door. When I arrived my last night, my keycard didn't work and I noticed someone left a key in the door, meaning anyone had access to our room and it wasnt secured. We were also woken up after midnight by someone arriving late and having an argument with the employee over how to get inside room.

Sheily et les autres membres du staff étaient vraiment sympathiques ! J'ai adoré le jeu du qu'il était cool ! Thanks you for everything! Sheily was very skillful.
stay in very prime, lively area.
This was really good hostel and met some cool people while I was there. The staff was friendly, helpful and the place was clean as well. Most importantly the location was perfect
walking tour was good, good social but not party, I met other travellers here, also helped me book onwards travel but the hiking they chose in sapa wasn't very good and I wish I'd booked this myself. room clean and layout of dorm meant beds felt private and I slept well here
The staff at the Old Quarter View Hostel were absolutely amazing. They made sure I had the best time and helped me organise my trip. I stayed here before and after the loop and they were incredible. Breakfast isn’t included, but they have a great menu you can order from.
AMAZING STAY! Hostel staff always helped me with booking my tours / bus / and planning my whole trip to vietnam! i was in the female dorm & the locker was big, the room & bathrooms clean. it is located in the old quarter, but not on the main road, so you‘re in the city but dont have the noise. absolutely recommend it! i met some friends right along when i arrived & would definitely go back!
I loved the area we were located in. Staff(especially shelly) was extremely friendly and kind all the time. A little small in the downstairs which was fine since i was only there for three nights
Good clean hostel with a daily walking tour as well as free beer in the evening which is a good way to meet other travellers. The hostel staff helped to arrange the Ha Giang Loop for me which was appreciated.
Old Quarter View Hanoi Hostel is the best place to stay if you’re traveling in Hanoi. This was my first time traveling solo and I’m so glad I chose to stay there. There are lots of activities that bring people together and that’s how I met all my friends. Thank you to Nancy for being so kind and for always taking care of me. If you have any questions, Nancy will be happy to help.

This place was a great hostel to stay at. The staff was super helpful. Lee and Shelly made me smile every day. I really have no complaints except for I wish the 2nd floor lounge had couches instead of the bean bags. All in all it was a great experience, there is someone to help you 24-7, it is also a social hostel but not a party hostel which makes it easy to meet friends.

Really nice hostel! Staff were friendly and helpful, beds were comfy and rooms were clean. Not overly social vibe but very chill and in the perfect location to explore Hanoi
Lee helped me plan my travels when I got there and I had the best time! Whenever I had quations he was quick to answer and he even helped some friends of mine who didn't stay in the hostel. Couldn't have been better!
Le Phuc was very helpful in booking a trip to ba vi and trip to cat ba. Will definitely book again when i come back to hanoi
Nice hostel. Room didn’t have much floor space for re-packing but was fine. Free beer for half an hour every evening which was a nice way to meet people and activities in the evening. Good location and lovely staff
Good hostel. Great location if you want to be in the old town (not great if you want to escape the bustle and noise). A good amount of opportunities and events to meet people and socialise, which is good. I find the decor ugly. But the facilities are good. I recommend the 12 bed room over the 10 bed cause I think the storage setup is actually slightly better.
Really great hostel in Hanoi! Staff are so friendly, helpful and available 24/7. It’s not a party hostel but I met different people every night so there’s lots of opportunities to socialise. It’s also on a side street so quieter than other hostels nearby
Staff were very helpful, rooms and bathrooms were clean and secure. There’s a large locker that fits a big bag and a smaller one in your bunk. All beds have a reading light and outlet and curtains that go all the way around for privacy. The top bunks have stairs up to them instead of ladders which is great if you’re holding things. On the one occasion a bug got into the room they came up and killed it for us and carried its corpse away. Location is near a few ATMS and right in old quarter. A...
