- La chica de recepción fue muy desagradable conmigo, gritó a mi cara cuando le dije que no sabía que se cobra comisión por pagar en tarjeta porque el día anterior no me comentó nada de eso, tampoco me cobró la comisión cuando pagué con la tarjeta el día anterior Su actitud fue muy agresiva y bruta, el final me fui al hostal con muy mal sabor en la boca por la forma como me ha tratado, una falta de respeto, la gente que trabajan allí no son tan amables por lo menos conmigo. Apenas hay espacio común salvo en el restaurante.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR FOOD ONLY. The worst food we’ve had in south east Asia so far. Not even a hello from the waitress, she just dumped the menu in front of us. We got the chicken & cheese sandwich, the ‘chicken’ didn’t even taste like chicken and looked like a 10 year old, stale chicken burger rather than pieces of chicken breast which should be expected in a chicken sandwich. I got the yellow curry and it was like tinned soup, really disappointing, horrid flavour and would NOT recommend ...
The place is clean, but that doesn’t make up for the terrible experience. The woman at reception was extremely rude, completely unhelpful, and it was obvious they care more about taking your money than providing good service. We waited 2 hours just to check in, and when we were finally attended, the treatment was awful. There was no effort to help or improve the situation. Based on its reviews and “best hostel” award, I chose this place but found the praise exaggerated. Cleanliness (good by Laotian standards) and friendly staff were pluses. However, aside from the restaurant and beds, there were no lounge areas, the WiFi dropped every 2 minutes, the food was expensive (with ants in my bread basket), and Pakse itself offers little. The host was very kind, but I expected more.
I have been in Laos for almost a month and I have stayed in many hotels. The one that impressed me the most was the Vang Vieng hotel. Every morning when I had breakfast, the staff greeted me with a smile. But here, they did not, especially the woman who made the eggs. She did not smile or greet me. It was terrible with her behavior.

super leuk hostel! De host is super lief en behulpzaam. De (bad)kamers zijn schoon en de bedden liggen erg comfortabel. Leuke sociale mensen hier en makkelijk andere reizigers te ontmoeten. Onbijt hier ook super lekker, veel keuze en nier duur.
This hostel is one of my favourites throughout my whole journey. The beds are really comfy and big, and you have a lot of space and privacy. The bathrooms are spacious, and everything is very clean. The service is excellent, the staff are really helpful and friendly. If you have questions about the loop or day trips, they provide plenty of information. I can only recommend this hostel, don’t miss it on your trip to Pakse! 😊
AMAZING hostel! Really clean, super comfy, great amenities. The owner is so lovely and really helpful! The food was great, and we got a welcome drink upon arrival! Cannot recommend enough!
We only booked a night bus to Vang Vieng with them, everything went very smoothly, everyone got off at the Southern bus station, and then the driver took us to the Northern bus station and showed us which minibus was taking us. Thank you !
Amazing hostel the beds feel super clean and you have lots of room for bags etc great air con and the bathrooms are super great they even have straighteners/ hair dryers. It’s not the most social but they run a waterfall tour which is all there really is to do in Pakse anyway. The staff are super kind and helpful and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and awnser any questions :)
Really great hostel to explore Pakse and the surrounding area for a few days. No social atmosphere really but as far as the rooms, beds and showers are concerned, this is probably the best hostel i’ve stayed at in south east asia
Très bon Hostel. Personnel très sympa et très aidant pour organiser la loop! Glaces, bananes et eau à disposition. Le restaurant est très bon aussi.

The hostel and staff are perfect, 10/10
+ Comfortable and spacious beds. Good location. And amazing staff. They provide 2 towels per guest, as well as shower gel and shampoo, and other bathroom utilities.
- Their transport to Hué (Vietnam) is extremelly uncomfortable and not as they describe.

+ Le personnel est très gentil et généreux ! Il y a avait une glace gratuite par jour, des bananes et de l’eau ! De plus il m’on offert un gâteau local pour mon départ. Il propose aussi la location de scooter avec la possibilité d’acheter de l’essence
+ Very nice hostel, limited beds and can tend to sell out. Staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Many complementary items at the hostel, and things you pay for are reasonable. You can pay cash or card, USD or LAK, and you pay at the end of your stay.
- The location isn't great, but for the price it is what it is. Either book ahead or talk to the owner if you need taxis to the KM2 bus station.
I’ve been travelling for several months, stayed in probably 30 hostels or so and this is by far my favorite. Staff is incredible, beds and rooms are spacious, bathrooms are clean and well maintained, and the restaurant downstairs is very good. Would stay here again
Super lieve en attente host
Amazing staff who help with anything you need during your stay. There isn’t too much of a common area but everything else is fab!
Greaaat great hostel, the lady who runs this hostel is so helpful, efficient and just girlboss!! The dorms are amazing and the bed has so much space to put stuff and is very comfy!! The common area is not true nice to chill at and I felt it wasn’t really the most social but still totally recommend this!! The tour we did with the hostel was also very fun!
+ I stayed here for the second time. It‘s very clean, central and they offer affordable and good food at their restaurant. The staff is absolutely outstanding!
