Hotel Alpachaca Quito Airport

+ Near Airport $8 ride one-way

- I booked this Hostel because it came with transportation and was the closest to the airport for my early departure (5:30am). When I arrived at the Quito Airport at 3 pm, they didn't answer email, phone, or Whatsapp (common in Ecuador). Booking was also no help. I left messages and sent emails/texts in English and Spanish to the hostel, but got no response. I went to eat and hours later, still no assistance. I had to take a taxi the 2 minutes to the Hostel and it cost $8. I verified the phone number was correct, but they just didn't answer for all the hours I called. They then told me for my flight in the AM, it was too early for free transport and I again had to pay $8. They were able to get me transportation in a non-licensed taxi at 4:30 am, but I had to pay the cost. I was disappointed as a single, female traveler that I was left alone to figure out an unfamiliar city. Additionally, it was a pure lie that transportation was included. $16 is not a significant amount in Ecuador, but the safe transportation was important. The driver that I had to get at the airport myself, proceeded to try to get my insta/facebook contact in the car. As a woman, you're stuck pretending you don't understand rather than piss off a male while you are stuck in his taxi. Nope, I will never stay here again or use Booking.com. My safety is a priority.

- Rooms were too small. It was not clean. Bathroom was left unclean with cleaning brush inside the toilet. I dont recommend this hotel at all.

- Wir hatten ein superior Doppelzimmer mit Garten Blick gebucht und ein klammes dunkles Standardzimmer mit Blick auf die Garage bekommen. Bett war voller Haare, Bad immer nass, zudem hatten wir extra am Abend vorher das Frühstück auf Punkt 7 bestellt, da wir zum Flughafen mussten mit einem Shuttle, das wir auf 7.30 Uhr bestellt haben. Das Frühstück, teilweise waren Sachen schon leer (es waren nur 6 Personen im Saal und wir waren die ersten, die Bilder stimmen nicht mit dem Frühstück überein!) war viel zu spät (7:25) und auch das Shuttle kam selbst nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen zu spät, hätten wir nicht insestiert, wäre es gar nicht gekommen. Als es dann iwann kam, hatten wir schon das Nachbarhotel um Hilfe gebeten und dort durften wir umsonst mitfahren. Das Personal wirkte unfreundlich und als ob es keine Lust auf Gäste hätte. In 9 Monaten Süd-Mittelamerika das schlechteste Hotel (und wir sind meist in deutlich preiswerteren Unterkünften)

- Didn’t manage to sleep at all!! Very noisy throughout the night with cars, people and just lots of banging Weird power cuts Light didn’t fully turn off at night either

+ En las redes decían incluido desayuno y a la hora en el restaurante dicen q no, no hubo nadie q ayude con el equipaje a la habitación no hubo suficiente toallas heríamos 3 personas 1 jabón 1 shampoo1 acondicionador para tres se necesitaba algo y no había nadie en recepción

+ Location was good, and it was cheap.

- Staff. I asked one of them if it would be possible to do laundry by the time I left. I was told yes. In the morning I went to collect it and first they had lost it, and had no idea where my clothes were. When they finally found the clothes they had not been washed. A stressful morning (because of the potential for loss) followed by frustration. All in all I found them not to be reliable.

+ L'única cosa bona és que està a prop de l'aeroport.

- L'habitació amb goteres. No funcionava l'aigua calenta, ho vaig dir. Tot i el canvi d'habitació, la dutxa també va haver de ser amb aigua freda. L'hora d'inici de l'esmorzar no és puntual. L'hora de contractació de serveis (taxi) no és puntual. L'esmorzar, el vol de fruita és ridícul, només 4 trocets.

+ The great location.

- I reserved a taxi with this hotel and there was no taxi to pick me up. The receptionist was not friendly. The comforter on the bed had spots on it. There was no face towels in the bed room. The receptionist brought only one towel to the room. Also there was no trash can in the room.

- Me picaron chinches en la cama de abajo de la litera de la habitación 32, por favor desinfectar o tirar el colchón que tampoco es que era bueno, para evitar este disgusto de tener picaduras y picor en las vacaciones de la gente

+ El acogimiento y la cercanía al aeropuerto (5min)

+ By far the best place to stay close to the airport without spending more than $100/night.

- Lights (in bathroom) controlled only by motion detectors with a 6-year-old's sense of humor.

+ Schönes Gemäuer, Frühstücksterrasse super. Preis-Leistung stimmt. Nettes kleines Restaurant im die Ecke. Super für eine Nacht vor oder nach einem Flug.

+ El hotel está realmente cerca del aeropuerto y el servicio fue excelente

+ Close to the airport,easy to arrange for a shuttle.Nice little restaurant close by.Staff was very helpful,even answered our questions promptly before our stay.
