Gringo Perdido

+ El lugar es bonito, vistas al lago, muy paradisíaco.La atención de los cámareros y el desayuno está muy bien.

- Las habitaciones dejan mucho que desear. La habitación ofrecida no se correspondía con la reservada en booking. Muy cutre, con bichos, poco aislada y vieja. Parecía que estabamos de acampada con arañas y mosquitos en el baño y habitación. Reservamos un tour para ir a Tikal con ellos y nos dejaron tirados. A las 5am en pie como indicado y nunca vinieron a recogernos. Lo peor, es que hasta las 7 no había nadie en recepción (desde las 5 en pie intentando hablar con alguien del hotel, no sé para que ofrecen tours a esa hora si no hay nadie que se responsabilice /ofrezca ayuda a esa hora). Tuvimos que buscar una opción B ese mismo día, con el estrés y coste adicional de reservarlo con tan poca antelación, además que el hotel está ubicado en el remate, donde no hay cajeros ni agencias alternativas para poder buscar una solución si el hotel te deja tirado. Teníamos media pensión y no nos ofrecieron la cena y tampoco un tupper para llevar a Tikal al día siguiente. Tampoco tuvieron ningún detalle /rebaja en el precio por las molestias causadas. La atención en recepción pésima. Muy bonitas vistas pero no lo recomendaría.

+ De locatie was prachtig, aan het water met prachtig uitzicht. Hele fijne plek om tot rust te komen en van een ontspannen dag te genieten. Als je aan het water slaapt heb je waarschijnlijk een waanzinnig verblijf!

- Wij sliepen in een tweepersoonskamer wat hogerop in de locatie, niet aan het water. De kamer was prachtig, maar lag aan de parkeerplaats waar de tours naar Tikal (waaronder sunrise tours) en vluchthavenshuttles vertrokken. Uiteindelijk hebben wij tussen 02.00 en 06.00 niet kunnen slapen doordat wij steeds wakker werden van luid vertrekkende gasten, juichende kinderen en rolkoffers. Het is waarschijnlijk voor de andere gasten niet zichtbaar dat hier ook een slaapkamer zit dus er werd qua geluid geen rekening mee gehouden. Wij vertrokken vroeg en konden dus niet voor het ontbijt blijven, daar had de locatie een hele vriendelijke service voor: een ontbijtpakket mee. Deze is ons 2 keer aangeboden en 2 keer bevestigd. Helaas lag het niet klaar op het moment van ons vertrek, en was er ook niemand aanwezig, dus wij hebben hier geen gebruik van kunnen maken. Vergeten waarschijnlijk. We hadden het niet zo heel erg gevonden als we een vriendelijke reactie hadden gekregen op onze berichten hierover, maar die werden helaas herhaaldelijk genegeerd door de locatie. Al met al was voor ons het verblijf dus niet heel comfortabel en helaas ook niet de prijs waard die we ervoor betaald hadden.

+ considero que nos trataron de forma discriminatoria, nos dieron unos bungalos de carton, con una ubicacion buena pero sin comodidades, el baño es horrible.

- que nos traten a todos como huespedes, las habitaciones que aparecen en booking no son las que nos dieron, y se noto mala intencion de parte de la recepcionista, no entiendo por que no nos dieron las habitaciones comodas solo por no ser extranjeros.

+ Very kind staff

- No hot water , hotel weren’t able to fix so cold shower till next day. Hotel overbooked the tour. Won’t be able to help us. Reserved group tour to go to Yaxha organized by hotel, but after 6hours of waiting , super over packed van showed up.. no room for us. What a disaster !

+ The position is excellent, directly at the water with free kayaks, many spots to sit or hang around and enjoy the lake. The common area is very pleasant, with free coffee and tea. The staff was very friendly.

- The rooms are not great, a bit old, not very clean, small bathroom and not particualrly soundproof. Definitively too expensive for the quality. Breakfast and dinner were alright but not great. The lights are switched off at 9 p.m. afterwards nothing happens!

- Personne pour prendre en charge à l'arrivée (30 marchés à descendre). La réceptionniste ne parlait pas anglais à l'arrivée et l'ensemble du personnel n'a aucune notion d'anglais. Inadmissible pour ce genre d'établissement et qui en plus se situe au bord d'une route. Aucune isolation au niveau des chambres.

+ Felicitaciones especiales a Etni, por su buen servicio para reservar y gestionar todos los tours. El servicio de los meseros y meseras es súper bueno. Alfonso, el barman, nos dió un excelente servicio y atención; La comida incluida es deliciosa y las porciones de la carta están muy bien servidas. Sólo tomar en cuenta que las redes que dan al lago están inundadas y fuera de servicio, no como se ve en las fotos...

- El ruido que hicieron algunos vecinos de cuarto; son vacaciones, no pueden estar gritando a las 8:00 am! Las tablas y gradas para ir de la entrada al lago a donde puedes nadar están muy resbalosas; es muy probable tener un accidente

+ Ein Hauch von Luxus. Selbst die Kleinigkeiten sind durchdacht.

- Alles perfekt

+ L'hôtel est d'un très bon standing, le cadre est vraiment agréable et les chambres confortables, idéal pour se relaxer. Le menu inclus le soir était en outre très bon. N'hésitez pas !

+ The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, especially bringing ice regularly for my husband’s sore foot which we really appreciated. The setting in nature is beautiful and peaceful. We loved being able to use the kayaks, see and hear wildlife, pat the sweet Labrador and the food was honestly exceptional.

- Nothing of note - could have done with one extra set of pillows so that you get two per sleeper - but this is minor

+ Es perfecto. La habitación que tuve fue maravillosa, la playa e instalaciones son bastante cómodas, el personal es muy atento y colaborador y la comida estuvo deliciosa. Me parece que el precio es acorde a la experiencia. No tuve dificultades para llegar

+ Magnifique,un cadre reposant, soigné,nous avons adoré cet endroit paisible mais toujours occupés baignade dans le lac ou la piscine, canoë, sieste dans hamac, excellents repas,personnel au petit soin.Excellent

+ Beautiful spot on the lake. Connect with nature. The lake is very deep great for swimming. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. It is quiet with no noise after 9:00. The food was very good.

- The pool was not clean or operational the day I arrived. I did see someone cleaning it that morning and it was running again. The water was high making docks and walkways very slippery. Price is high.

+ Todo increíble, superó con creces las expectativas. El entorno es hermoso, las instalaciones 10/10, el personal muy amable, la comida deliciosa. Sin duda volveríamos.

+ Me encantó el ambiente relajado y alegre, la facilidad con que resolvían cualquier necesidad que tuviéramos! La comida riquísima! el hecho de que siempre había Agua potable, café y té todo el día es un detalle fantástico!

+ Beautiful location, friendly staff! We enjoyed hanging out there after our daytime excursions and could have easily stayed longer! Great areas to relax, swim, rent a kayak or paddle board. They offer tours to the different Mayan sites, transport and other activities. We would happily come back!

- Some might mind the distance to the centre of the town, we liked to be in nature and had transport for all activities anyway. We would recommend to book one of the newer rooms.
