Jungle Jaffa

I've been double charged and can't get in touch with the property. I've tried to contact them via Whatsapp, email and instagram and they never replied. Hostelworld team is currently trying to contact them.

Very rude and hypocritical manager in this hostel ! I hope the owners will be aware of this behaviour and a change will be made soon !

The staff was very rude, we waited forever to get checked in and the room was definitely not clean. The only upside is location.

The staff called one day before my reservation to tell me the hostel is for tourists and not for israelis and it has an age limit of 45 so i will probebly feel unconfeetable (i am 37). They were ok with alowing a one night stay on probation and then they will decide if i can stay for the second night . Very wierd behavior for a place that specializes in hosting. I caceled my stay but they still charged me ordering commition and cancelling commition...

Preis Leistung ist dort keines Wegs gegeben. In den Duschen gab es Schimmel. Zimmer sind sehr eng und riechen auch sehr schlecht. Frühstück ist gut gewesen.

Did not feel welcome here, the vibe wasn't great. A lot of cliques. Staff unfriendly. Not fun to be in. Pretty dirty hostel. The only good thing was the location, but still not worth it. I moved to another hostel nearby and everything was much much better.

Great staff! When I arrived at the hostel I was honestly scared to leave the taxi because I felt like I was walking into a crack den, and I’ve been in some sketchy looking hostels. Inside, the communal/reception area is much better. It’s got a great style, relaxed and is arranged so you can socialise easily. However, my room was an abomination! I arrived at night and there was hardly any room to walk to find my bed. Also, there weren’t any beds available because people put there things...

Simply put, the owner of this hostel needs to step up their maintenance and upkeep of this hostel. And perhaps hire people that care about the place... The place is dirty, the roof is disgusting, and you can very much feel how that owner(s) doesn't care about this place.

Feels like hostel for the employees who live there. Like walking into someone else’s home. Some are friendly some are not. Cleanliness, dirty sofas, smelly beds and sheets. Bathrooms were clean though.

The showers are great. The location isn't bad, a ten minute walk to the beach and the old city. However, it is not very clean (there are bugs everywhere in the kitchen) and the staff, while very friendly, are not able to help with many issues and they seem to treat the common space like a clubhouse rather than a reception.

Solid. Not a bad hostel, not the best hostel. The beds were clean, the bathrooms were clean. The showers could use a little extra scrubbing. The staff did their job but aside from that didn't interact much. Every bed has an outlet and there are cages to lock your things up. It is perfectly acceptable.

Really nice and chill hostel great staff very helpful and accommodating would definitely stay again .

The hostel is located in a great position, near to the train station, the Old Jaffa neighborhood and the beach. The structure is very nice and complete, but the best thing about my experience was the way that the staff handled such stressful situations in war times. If it was this good in this delicates time, I surely wanna be back in another time to enjoy even more the atmosphere of the jungle!

Clean, location good, nice beds and common areas. However, staff were often rude and unwelcoming, turning off music in common areas to have loud phone calls, reception was always empty. Staff also kept me awake until 2am with very loud kareoke. There was also no hot water.

Priset stämmer ej överens med vad som dras på plats. Blev dubbla priset. Hostelt består endast av volontärer, vilket definitivt sänker standarden markant. Däremot så är all personal trevlig och välbemötande.

They took care of me as a clueless American and answered all my questions (in English ) which rare to find someone in Israel who will do that . Nice location old Jaffa is less than a mile away along with the beach . The showers are clean and have hot water along with laundry. Met many locals in the hostel both Israeli and Arabs so interesting cross section of society .Also near bus stations and grocery stores . Very relaxing vacation could not even tell there was a war going on .

The staff was very helpful but the room was incredibly awful, we were right above a restaurant and couldn't sleep because the music was always blasting like it was coming from inside the room. Disturbing. There is no dinner, although they advertise as having activities nothing happened and dinner was not offered.

You get what you pay for and then you have to pay for everything else too. The Dinner is not a thing, its not free. The room I was assigned to looked like a tornado ripped thru it and on top of that my assigned bed was also a mess. Floor hadn't been swept in ages as the dust bunnys in the corner showed. Its good for 1 night anymore just do yourself a favor and find somewhere else.

Great staff, great music, great kitchen, great rooftop, great vibes. This is not a chain hostel. This is not a corporate hostel. THIS is a backpacker's hostel. A little rough around the edges, I still couldn't be happier to have stayed. Special thanks to Yakov, Joseph, Shaoul & Sophia for their exceptional hospitality. Stay spicy, my friends.

Absolutely wonderful hostel. Great location, staff and facilities. Very clean and great vibe.
