Nomad House - Pondicherry

1. The property manager asked us to pay the amount paid to hostel world again to her. she doesn't have any idea of our booking and was asking us to show her the booking we made on this app 2. the location is not good

The property is definitely not worth the price. The staff is intrusive and the rooms, bed sheets, blankets are not clean. Expected it to be a nice comfortable stay through the pictures but overall very poor experience. The location is not great and the rooms are intersecting with other dorms which you have to cross to get out which leaves no privacy for either you or people in the other dorms. The staff keeps entering the dorm room at random times in the day without any consideration for privacy

I was disappointed with the location, amenities, and facilities at Nomad House in Puducherry. While I understand that natural calamities are beyond anyone’s control, adequate backups should have been in place. There was no electricity and no food options available. Despite being assured that there was no waterlogging, my car was submerged up to the radiator. Additionally, the lighting was dim, which added to the discomfort of the stay.

Overpriced, small rooms, better go for hotels at the same price.

I wanted to share my feedback regarding my recent stay at Nomad Hostel. The hospitality fell short of my expectations, and there seemed to be an issue with the accommodation arrangements. Despite booking and paying for a 4-sharing space, my group was allocated to an 8-sharing dorm upon arrival.

1. Location - in a congested place with stray dogs, no parking 2. Hygiene - toilets not maintained well. 3. Room amenities - they switch on AC on their terms. Even when switched on, not working. Beds with plastic covers on - very uncomfortable to sleep. 4. Hospitality - Poor. The owner Mr Kevin wasn't helping instead was rude. Made us sleep on plastic covered beds. 5. Not worth what they charge. Overall 1/5

This was confusing and frustrating, especially since the booking was clearly confirmed for five guests. Honestly have been to many hostels and owners and staff are usually welcoming, here the staff was kind and warm at some times but at the time where someone would want to party or expect a little freedom, there is just rudeness. too many rules and regulations, community building is good but apparently can't make too much noise or whatever. the location is good and so are rooms, just that there could be more washrooms.

The overall experience was not that good. A guy name kevin was very rude and condescending. They charged extra money for just 30 min delay in check out

Staying at Nomad House Hostel on my very first solo trip was such a lovely experience. The place has a calm, welcoming vibe that instantly made me feel at home. I really enjoyed spending time in the common lobby, and Puppy 🐶 was an absolute delight. A big shoutout to Kevin — he felt more like a long-known friend than a host. I spent 2 more days. The staff is so kind. You can rent a bike for nothing.The location is perfect you are next to the bus stand and city center but isn't noisy!

Great hostel with a great vibe. The hostel is clean and neat, with 2 great social spaces. The owner is super friendly and can arrange scooter rental, or there are bicycles to rent from the hostel. The kitchen is well equipped and clean and the bedrooms were cleaned daily. Great time had at nomad house.

Kevin the owner excels in hospitality and thrives in making customers his focus. He provides european kind of hospitality in an Indian environment. He listens and provides a conversation to all. His employees are mostly very hardworking like Kevin. Especially Santosh standsout as person who would never say no to anything. I recommend anyone to experience nomad hostel and enjoy some of the group activites

Best hostel ever ! The place is clean, colorful and welcoming. There is a kitchen if you want to cook yourself breakfast, and some tea/purified water at disposal. Plenty of space to chill and a very nice rooftop. Kevin, the owner, is such a great and thoughful host. He gave me so many good advice and even collected a parcel for me in my absence. That is what we can call dedication ! The vibe is chill and friendly (and so is Poppy the owner’s dog). I loved my stay here, 100% recommended ✨

Quite far from centre, nice staff but didn't feel safe as a solo traveller

Great place to Stay, with the best host and dog!

Kevin is a great host, however one thing that bothered me with the rooms was the one common washroom among ~14 beds despite booking a 4 bed dorm. You have to walk through a dorm to get to your room, and the dorm room was quite small. The upper dorm was really close to the fan and it's potentially dangerous to the one sleeping above.

Kevin the owner makes you feel welcome. The hostel is clean and in a quite part of the city.

Solid hostel in pondicherry for a short stay. Location is a bit out of the way & rooms/facilities a bit basic - but no big red flags and more than fine for short stay in the city if you’re ok with walking

Awesome, really enjoyed my stay. The hostel is really nice and kept very clean. I want to extend a special thanks to the owner Kevin who was really helpful, encouraging and patient with all my questions; it was my second week in India and he really helped explain a lot of social, cultural, and political issues.

We had an amazing stay at the Nomad House. Kevin the owner was super nice and spent loads of time chatting with everyone. Great atmosphere among all guests in the common area.

Nomad House provides a great place to chill and socialise. The rooms are spacious and clean. Kevin is extremely helpful and will go the extra mile.

The place was one of the cleanest hostel I’ve visited. Moreover, the place was fun and the host is also a great guy with team of really nice people working there. I had a fun time staying there and partying on their common area. About area, Promenade beach is around 2 km so you can visit easily in 5 minutes with scooter, I also took bicycle the other day with which it took around 10 minutes as well.
