This place is just generally a dump. The rooms are tiny, most everything in there is broken, and the staff doesn’t really care about you. It’s also in a pretty remote location.
I was excited to get here, but it wasn't great. Saw ant-like bugs crawling up the wall while preparing to check in, my locker in the room didn't have a lock on it, staff noticed. The door didn't always close all the way. The pool had cans, hair and noodles clogging the drain, one of the speakers was broken. I could hear the pool from my room. And the shower/br in the room is very loud. Meals are over priced for the area, the burger was so dry and sad... 320000 cop. I loved the views on the roo...
I stayed here one night and booked a second. A few days later. i got really sick on the day of reservation and couldnt make it so they charged me the full price of the room. Be careful booking this hostel. Also really long wait times at reception. Incompetent staff Had to keep going and getting my passport because the hadnt do it correctly.
Ich finde das Hostel ist totale abzocke. Die Betten sind zu teuer, man darf keine eigenen Getränke mitbringen sondern muss im Hostel überteuert kaufen. Alles kostet extra. Macht auf keinen Fall den Pub Crawl, euch werden kostenlose Drinks versprochen aber es gibt ein paar shots und das war’s auch, dafür zahlt ihr 60000 pesos nur um mitmachen zu dürfen. Ist irgendwie ein Witz. Falls ihr Sachen absperren wollt braucht ihr ein eigenes Schloss oder müsste es halt extra bezahlen.
I think the hostel is totally abzocke. The beds are too expensive, you can't bring your own drinks but you have to buy overpriced in the hostel. Everything costs extra. Do not under any circumstances the Pub Crawl, you are promised free drinks but there are a few shots and that's wars too, for which you pay 60,000 pesos just to be allowed to participate. Is somehow a Witz. If you want to keep your stuff you need a private Schloss or you would have to pay extra for it.
Upstairs bar is understaffed and the staff don't care how long they take, dancing instead of serving you. When you finally get their attention they begrudge it. Absolutely no tip for them, no wonder they don't ask for it.

I didn't have a good experience here, but the facilities were good.
Viajero santa Marta and Tayrona both have great views, but that’s about it. Food is terrible to point of not being unpalatable, staff could not give me a single viable recommendation for Colombian food. Communication for excursions was non existent. Much better hotels to pick from in both locations.
It was not a pleasant experience, especially when you compare it with the Viajero in Medellin.

Great hostel, a good base before you go explore tyrona/minca or other beach areas. Chilled vibe with nice rooftop but has optional events to help introduce people. The staff member Carolina was particularly helpful on reception with any requests we had. The lugage storage room could be made more secure for peace of mind when leaving luggage for long periods of time.
El Check-In y el Check-Out fue agradable y rápido. En el Check-Out nos atendió bastante bien Carolina. Aparte de eso sentí que había una diferencia bastante grande entre el trato hacia mi novio (quien es de Santa Marta) y yo. En la entrada nos recibieron de una manera no muy cordial y honestamente bastante ruda aunque ambos teníamos una reserva en el hostal. Nos dio la impresión de que el trato hacia él fue menos favorable que hacia otros huéspedes (extranjeros).
The check-in and check-out was pleasant and quick. at the check-out Carolina served us quite well. apart from that i felt that there was a pretty big difference between the treatment towards my boyfriend (who is from santa marta) and me. at the entrance we were received in a not very cordial and honestly quite rude way although we both had a reservation at the hostel. we got the impression that the treatment towards him was less favourable than towards other guests (foreigners).

Tive uma ótima experiência no viajeros. As instalações são ótimas, o quarto é muito bom, cama confortável, tem cozinha para os hóspedes usarem, espaço para trabalhar muito bom. Fiz a aula de salsa e foi muito divertido, a banda é ótima. Os funcionários são muito gente boa, Carolina me atendeu muito bem e é muito simpática. Super recomendo!!
I had a great experience with the travelers. The facilities are great, the room is very good, the bed is comfortable, there is a kitchen for the guests to use, space to work very good. I took the salsa class and it was very fun, the band is great. The staff are very good people, Carolina took very good care of me and is very friendly. Super recommend!!
Had a great stay at Viajero, I originally planned to stay for one night. But I ended up staying for three. Carolina and all of the staff were very welcoming and very fun!

everything in this hostel was super nice, the welcoming with Alejandro that was super helpful with everything, the breakfast is with local products and the hostel is super clean and super new, i highly recommend it.

Great location in Santa Marta, the roof top and the pool are quite enjoyable with the hot weather. Staff are great and welcoming. Would come back anytime!
Carolina war super nett und war bei allem sehr hilfsbereit. wirklich eine tolle mitarbeiterin. die anlage war super und die zimmer sehr sauber. das essen war fein und die aktivitäten waren ebenfalls sehr interessant.
