Some people live in the hostel, so in my opinion that's not the best option to stay while visiting Perth. The beds are not made, we have to do ourselves. The shower was not hot, only warm water. The common area is pretty nice, with a lot of games and space to meet people. I think they could put the people that rent a long term bed in separated rooms, as they have more stuff, they wake up earlier, etc, etc, and the tourists in another room.

Cold rooms, weirdly stand offish staff, incredibly loud and hectic common area and the worst hostel kitchen Iv seen. Someone also stole a carton of milk out of my fridge bag and staff refused to check the cctv. Incredibly overpriced, I wouldn’t be complaining if it was half the price, ridiculous

Don’t know why this place is rated so high. The noise is unbearable, like a nightclub. If you’re looking to sleep at all do not stay here, up till 4 in the morning sometimes due to shouting and banging and blaring music. Staff must not stay onsite as there’s no standards whatsoever. It’s filthy everywhere, homeless people come in and sleep on the sofas too. I’ve stayed in many hostels all over Australia and this is the worst by far! Me and my friend booked ages in advance and got split...

Decent Hostel, but everyone is on a working holiday so keep that in mind. The accommodation is fine, but really feels like a student house, so don't expect too much.

This place was definitely over priced. The vibe is like a run down abandoned bank with graffiti and old leather couches. The rooms felt like they had just placed beds (no curtains) in offices. Also recommend bringing an eye cover, as a hallway light was on all night directly shining onto me. This place requires CASH so bring some. Reception was nice- he was vaping when I arrived and during my check in. Did not feel safe when I entered and joked it was a trap house. After a day I felt better.

Fun hostel at the perfect location in Fremantle. Walkable to all the nice cafes, restaurants and bars. I do think 95% of the people staying here are living here so don’t expect lots of other “vacation people”. But it’s super easy to meet people, good vibes. Big kitchen. Huge common area. Showers nice and clean. Beds comfortable. Garden with pool. Would def go back here.

I just stayed for one night, cause the location is truly very good. The place is very dark, it provides all you need, but the matress is super thin and you can compare it to a mat you would take to go camping … The staff is very nice, just a bit messy, but I guess they have many jobs at the same time. I was a bit fooled by the 10/10 reviews… I stayed in 3 hostels in Freo and don‘t go to Fremantle Backpackers, but to YHA if you can ;)

Beds were comfy. Check in was stressful though- make sure you read t&C's about paying rest of amount for stay, and also, three cats, so don't have a cat allergy like me!

Sundancer Backpackers is in the perfect location. everything in Fremantle is within walking distance, which makes it super convenient. The vibe is great if you’re social and love meeting new people. There’s a pool, a spacious kitchen, games like ping pong and pool, a cozy common area, and even a bar. Facilities are solid too l laundry, lockers, etc .I really enjoyed my stay.

I really really loved the vibe of the hostel, all the wall paintings and decorations made it feel so playful and fun, the people were lovely, the facilities clean and the massive outdoor area so nice! Would definitely recommend!

One of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed at. Perfect location. Wonderful people and the staff run a tight ship.

Showers are a bit s*** but other than that it’s a fantastic place. The kitchen is the best hostel kitchen I’ve ever seen and I’ve been AROUND. Sick place to stay. Will be back.

Best hostel I stayed in perth/fremantle. Would love to come back! Not too busy, nice playground and very good vibe. Love it

Overall this was a great hostel! There are so many facilities and places to chill and it’s a perfect location right in Freo but also to get the ferry to Rottnest or the train to Perth city. make sure u bring some locks because they give u two lockers in public spaces and some people had food stolen (they also give u big shelves in the rooms which is great). I was on the top floor which was nice and quiet but heard that the lower levels were super loud at night.

If you’re looking to make friends, this hostel is ideal. The common areas are inviting, and there are always activities or opportunities to meet fellow travelers. It’s a great place to find travel buddies, whether you’re planning a road trip or just looking to explore Fremantle together.

Very nice place to stay. It feels like a huge house and the atmosphere is really cool, very familiar. The staff is really nice and helpful. This hostel has the best common areas to chill and hang out
