Das Hostel an sich ist okey. Camillo ist freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Zimmer war sauber. Die Lage ist okay aber es ist unglaublich laut. Die Nachbarschaft hört extrem laut Musik und man hat keine Sekunde etwas Ruhe. Die Küche war voll mit dreckigem Geschirr und in einem Küchenschrank war eine tote Maus. Ich würde nicht wiederkommen.
The hostel itself is okay. camillo is friendly and helpful and the room was clean. the location is okay but it's incredibly loud. the neighborhood is extremely loud music and you don't have a second of any peace. the kitchen was full of dirty dishes and in one of the kitchen cabinets was a dead mouse. i wouldn't come back.
+ Es un hostel nuevo. Bastante limpio y con todo lo necesario en infraestructura aunque el wifi no llega al cuarto.
- No tienen botiquín de primeros auxilios, me mordió uno de los perros del hostal y no tenia para hacerme las curaciones, el perro es muy territorial y no parece acostumbrado a la gente, ladra cuando alguien esta en la puerta y con mucha facilidad cambia de humor. Me senti incomodo cada vez debia salir del cuarto. Sacando estas 2 cosas todo perfecto.
It's a new hostel. fairly clean and with all the necessary infrastructure although the wifi doesn't reach the room. they don't have a first aid kit, I was bitten by one of the hostel dogs and didn't have the money to do the healings, the dog is very territorial and doesn't seem used to people, it barks when someone is at the door and easily changes its mood. I felt uncomfortable every time I had to leave the room. taking out these 2 things was perfect.
+ The staff is nice and the hostel is quiet and safe. The bed was comfortable and they have some nice cmmon areas.
- The location is in an area that is not so nice, it is not dangerous but doesn‘t feel too pleasant to walk there either. It is actually in Taganga, which is not part of Santa Marta, as I had thought, but not far away either, maybe 10 minutes by bus. Taganga is a bit touristy. If you like the beach, it will be a perfect place. Someone smoked in the hostel so the dorms sometimes smelt of cigarette smoke, which was a bit disgusting.
+ A very convenient place to stay in Taganga. The hosts are amazing, and super friendly and accommodating! Basic but decent breakfast. Access to the kitchen so I could cook my own food was great!
- The location in town can be a bit noisy. Neighbours partying late into the night and roosters crowing.

Absolutely loved my stay! Don’t expect a fancy place, but it’s spotless, clean rooms, fresh linens, and a well-kept common area. The owner and staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel like part of the family. It was one of the most authentic local experiences I had in Colombia. The breakfast is delicious and comes with fresh juice. The area might seem sketchy at first, especially at night, but it’s actually very safe and well located.
+ This is run by an helpful family. Inside it is peaceful with modern, clean facilities. Less than 150 meters to the beach. Nice hammocks on the upper deck for resting. This is a nice place to base out of for Taganga area activities. The breakfasts were excellent.a

+ After staying here once, I came back for a different time because the staff was so nice and in general I had a really good time. Hammocks on the first floor are great as well.
- Nosy neighbours, but it was during carnaval, sommight be better normally.
+ Comfortable beds. Freshly made breakfast in the morning with great juices freshly made everytime. Super friendly staff and owner who take great care of you and will help you if you need anything. Wi-fi is working 99% of the time. A few minutes walk from the center/beach.
- Neighbours can sometimes be extremely loud in the night/mornings.

Unser Aufenthalt im Macabi Hostel war einfach toll! Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und man bekommt jeden morgen gutes Frühstück. Es ist der perfekte Ort zum Relaxen. Die nähe zu den verschiedenen Stränden, Restaurants und dem Supermarkt ist auch gut. Wir durften unsere großen Rucksäcke während unserem Trip nach Tayrona dort lassen. Bei unserer Rückkehr hat es sich angefühlt wie nach hause kommen. Wir waren sehr traurig bei d...
Our stay at Macabi Hostel was simply great! We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable. The accommodation is very clean and you get a good breakfast every morning. It is the perfect place to relax. The proximity to the various beaches, restaurants and the supermarket is also good. We were allowed to leave our large backpacks there during our trip to Tayrona. On our return it felt like coming home. We were very sad when we left.

+ Estuve 2 noches en una habitación para 2 personas por el cumpleaños de mi hermano, la verdad la experiencia de hospedarse en Macabi fue una maravilla, el personal fue demasiado amable durante toda nuestra estancia, compartimos y se hizo más ameno nuestro paso por Taganga, sin duda volveré algún día.
I stayed 2 nights in a room for 2 people for my brother's birthday, the truth is the experience of staying at Macabi was wonderful, the staff was too friendly during our entire stay, we shared and it made our passage through Taganga more enjoyable, I will definitely come back someday.

+ Mi familia y yo estamos súper contentos con la estadía en macabi hostal ya que el lugar es cómodo y acogedor para pasar un buen fin de semana. Gracias a la Sra Dora con su bonita personalidad, Camilo y sus demás amigos por la bonita atención que nos brindaron. Recomiendo este hostal por sus servicios muy buenos (cocina, internet, habitaciones y demas) todo super chévere y por su cercanía a playas lindas de Taganga.
My family and I are super happy with our stay at macabi hostel as the place is comfortable and cozy to spend a good weekend. thank you to mrs dora with her nice personality, camilo and her other friends for the nice attention they gave us. i recommend this hostel for its very good services (kitchen, internet, rooms and more) all super chevere and for its proximity to beautiful beaches of taganga.

I totally loved it here! The owner is the sweetest, helpful with everything, just a very nice person. The hostel is decorated with handmade things and so much love. The atmosphere was family-like, we got different and delicious breakfast everyday with fresh juice and coffee all day. The dorm was spacious, with a terrace and a beautiful view and I could choose my own bed. A very special hostel, I would definitely come back 😊

Our stay was extraordinary. This is not simply a hostel, Dori invites you to her home with all her heart. The facilities are clean, the kitchen has more than you need. The host is super kind and invites you to join her activities and meet her friends. We felt extremely comfortable. Cheap laundry usage, free storage of our luggage for a couple of days, great breakfast and fresh juice. Perfect stay.

Wonderful place run by wonderful people. Feels more like a home than a hostel. Dora and all the staff couldn’t be more welcoming, encouraging and compassionate. Great breakfast and the sweetest animal companions. I can’t recommend highly enough ✨
