Leuven City Hostel

Staff guy Jasper was an absolutely awful person. No security for bags at all. Its a group room booking party hostel, so not social really, and by evening, every toilet had vomit in it. Far too expensive for what it is. I cannot recommend this at all.

Not so good and yet thanks to them I had a cheap place to stay. The matress and sheets are confortable, it's what matters most no ?

Mooie lokatie en gezellige gezamenlijke ruimte, maar bedden zijn niet schoon. Er zaten in de bedden van mij en mijn twee mede reizigers haren en bruine/gelige vlekken in de matrassen en hoeslakens. Ik heb met een shirt als kussensloop geslapen.

The room was rather small for six people. There were no lockers and a lot of flies. The mattress cover was stained. There are only two toilets on each floor. Overall, the hostel feels dated and dirty. The location however is agreeable.

No lockers for storing your things in my dorm. Stains also on my bed linen. I ended up leaving and booking somewhere else.

The Hostel was fine, but there were some issues with the cleanliness. The kitchen and the bathroom haven't been cleaned enough.

The facilities & location are fine but those dorms.. Not worth 26e a night, the room was crowded the smell was awful (what do you expect 7 people in a tiny room) and it was EXTEREMELY hot no AC or fan.

An ok hostel. The 6 bed mixed dorm I was in only had one plug socket, and no lights above the beds, just the main light. The sound proofing is non existent, and you can hear people outside the room. The common area is nice though. You are expected to make your own bed, and then have to unmake it in the morning so they know which beds are free... I suggest the beds are numbered and customers be assigned to them. The staff are friendly. I would give it 3 stars

Great base for exploring Leuven. Lovely staff, nice kitchen and lounge. Very good value for a family room - would recommend!

The hostel is in a prime location and has nice rooms, even when they are the cheapest, six-person rooms. Keep in mind that you need to bring your own towel or pay 2 euros (cash) for one and that breakfast is 9 euros each morning. You can likely find cheaper food for breakfast at a local Carre Four and keep it in the common kitchen if you'd like. The staff are friendly and helpful, and it is a great boon to be able to store your luggage before you check in and after you check out.

Lovely hostel. It was very quiet when I was there so didn’t really get to socialise. Good bike storage. You need a lighter for the hob in the kitchen!

J’ aimerais une fontaine a eau avec filtre. La radio fonctionne du matin au soir. Pas certaine de la proprete du faureuil divan

Genuinely one of the better hostels I've stayed at, everything felt clean and the space is enjoyable but the best part is the location.

Really lovely hostel. Owner and Manager were a charm. Felt very comfortable and at peace.

Super helpful staff and friendly

Great cozy hostel with a nice outside area. Also full functioning kitchen in the common room. I had some good conversations with many different people. Could be a little bit cleaner but for me it was fine.

Location is perfect. The staff is very friendly and helpful. But I have one major complaint, there are not enough electrical outlets in the room. I slept on a top bed and there was none. But I managed to charge my phone and camera in the common room which, btw, is really nice. I especially liked the small courtyard.

Brilliant location near the very center of Leuven at a great price. Strong and hot showers and comfortable beds. The hostel is quite small so if you're looking to meet people/party, probably not your best bet but it is a good base for exploring the rest of Belgium. Only complaint is that I wish there more toilets and showers as some got quite dirty or clogged and thus felt unusuable after a few nights at the hostel.

A really nice place! The single rooms were simple but serviceable, and the staff were helpful when (due to train delays) I wasn't able to arrive before closing time. The lock on my window seemed a bit unreliable, which wasn't great for a ground-floor room.
