Terra & Lake Hostel

The facilities were ok but one of the staff members (an older woman) was rude and lacked competence. She woke us up in the night to advise that we hadn’t paid for a service that we had in fact paid for. On our last night, someone on the floor above us was wailing and shouting the entire night, dropping things on the floor, and turning the lights upstairs on and off which we could see due to the windows in the ceiling of our room. Don’t bother staying here. Firstly the staff played loud music in reception at 1am on a Sunday night on top of the loud street just outside. we often had to wait around outside for around 10 minutes for someone to let us in the hostel. The ‘buffet breakfast’ was literally some ham, butter, jam and bread. Literally the only positive was the shower was decent and hot.

I just stayed one night, and it does the trick for a place to sleep and shower. Breakfast was good as well. No elevator so had to climb a bunch of stairs to get to my room. Wifi didn't work very well Place is fine, but nothing special.

Not a Backpacker Hostel!!! This is a cheap Hotel for hookups.The Products that are sold at the Reception (condoms, razors, toothbrushes) and the list of stains you can leave on the mattress with prices for cleaning each indicate that very clearly. The whole place has very cold interior design and cold-white Lighting, even in the rooms. You have to leave your key at the reception everytime to leave the place and have to rely on the receptionists to open up. +towel incl +hot water -doorbell

Die Unterkunft ist eher ein Hotel als Hostel. Für mich war dies aber mehr als fein. Das Zimmer war warm und die Dusche heiß. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Das Personal hat sich sehr viel Mühe gegeben und ich habe sogar ein Lunchpaket erhalten, als ich nicht frühstücken konnte. Die Atmosphäre generell ist eher rustikal. Aber ich war für das Preis Leistungsverhältnis sehr zufrieden.

I highly recommend this place if you want to stay in Puno for a couple of days. I got a nice and clean room.

Excelente atención, todo estuvo muy agradable. También hubo buen trato. La comida estuvo deliciosa. Los ambientes fueron muy reconfortantes. Recomendado al 100%.

Muy buena ubicación y seguridad del hotel, además de tener la habitación limpia y ordenada. El personal fue muy amable y me brindó el apoyo para cualquier consulta y recomendación de mi estadía en Puno.

Great location with helpful staff. Very clean with breakfast inc. The only reason I graded lower was because they had very loud construction going on inside while I stayed.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. Everything was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was just right to start the day.

I would highly recommend this accommodation to any traveler looking for a comfortable, welcoming, and well-located place to stay in Puno. I would definitely return.

This is by far the cleanest & most luxurious 'hostel' I've ever stayed in, the best value ever, & the staff are delightful. It's much more of a hotel than a hostel but for hostel prices! Only downside is no communal kitchen or hang out area. But if you're looking for a good place to recover some sleep, do some laundry & have a meticulously clean bathroom to yourself w/ plentiful thick toilet paper & a towel you'll hit the jackpot here. It's cold at night though w/no heat so warm up the bed early

This was a great place to stay after having been in dorms for 6 weeks. The price was great the room was clean the bed comfy the shower hot. I stayed an extra day because of flight schedules and was happy to do so. I would definitely recommend this hostel if you want some alone time. If you’re looking to party or meet other travellers it’s not the place for you.

Perfect place to stay for a few nights in Puno, great value for the price, rooms are simple but nice, bed is comfortable and everything was super clean. The staff is amazing too, everyone extremely kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend!!
