Mandarine Hostel

I was disappointed with this hostel. It is located in the center but difficult to find, at the end of an alley. The rooms do not lock and, as a woman, it is difficult to sleep serenely like that. There was no shower or toilet in the room, but they were shared with 3 other rooms!!! (About 18 people for 1 shower). The bathroom was not clean and I found piles of dust in the room.

Good value for money if not quite the socialist or cleanest. No locks on doors was a slight concern but everyone seemed nice enough. Doesn’t really seem to be a place of young people. Fab location and reasonable price. Comfortable beds.

Très bon emplacement. Établissement propre. Si vous réservez la chambre valbona bien vérifier que le problème des pigeons dans le toit est résolu car ils font beaucoup de bruit ce qui est très désagréable pour dormir.

Met some lovely people here. Great outside area and close to everything. I slept in the women’s only room. All the shared rooms have no locks on them, which made me feel nervous. There is also not enough showers or toilets for everyone. The hostel has a family of cats that live there - so if you don’t like cats, probably best not to come!

Chambre et lit propre. Il manquait la clé des toilettes, donc obliger d’aller à l’étage ou au rez de chaussée. Hostel chill pour ce reposer et pas faire la fêtes car pas d’animation.

good place to sleep for few nights. location is also quite central. My room had a nice balcony .

Clean. But in a 10 bed dorm expect lots of noise throughout the night!

Nice enough place, just nothing really going on to be honest. I guess that's largely due to it being out of season.

The staff was helpful and went out of their way. Had a private room, which was nice, but the dorms looked well cleaned and comfortable also. Close to everything, but secluded, so you have privacy while being able to get everywhere quickly. Nice kitchen, though no freezer, just a fridge. Wouls stay again if I'm back in Tirana.

Very basic, even a little rustic, but so cheap & cheerful! Staff are very friendly & helpful, beds/rooms are comfortable & spacious, kitchen is basic but adequate (but no tea! Very disappointing for an Englishman!) but if you like animals, one of the receptionists has a cute, friendly dog, and they have a family of kittens & mama cat there! Only downside, no locks on the dorm doors, no proper luggage storage, and the shower/bathroom in the room (accessible via the balcony) had pigeon poop in it!

One of the best hostels I have stayed

The staff and central location were perfect for our trip! The decor is fun and the room (double bed) was exactly what we required. The bathroom on top floor had issues with the keys. There were very loud bird sound scratchings in the early morning which they were aware of and trying to find solutions of. We both struggled with this a bit (both quite heavy sleepers) but it wasn't enough to stop us from having a great time! We did not check the kitchen so no comment.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for a treat. The staff were fantastic, the place was sparkling clean, and the kitchen had all the essentials. And as an added bonus, we met some wonderful people who were always happy to strike up a conversation.

It was a great place, the staff as well as the visitors were really nice and chill. Every bed had a locked wardrobe that fit my luggage comfortably. The curtains closed so well that I slept until 10 and didn't wake up from the light xD the duvet was really cozy. Some reconstruction was being done but it is already a really neat and lively place. I'd stay here again!

Ostello in ottima posizione, personale e pulizia ottimi. C'è tutto ciò di cui hai bisogno. L'unica pecca forse è che è piccolo, però davvero funzionale

Meilleur hostel and location

Friendly staff, welcoming atmosphere, clean, good beds and blankets, good hot showers, excellent location. Only thing I missed was more spaces to hang out inside due to winter season. Otherwise nothing to complain. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful hostel... rooms are spacious and done in marble floors throughout with brass staircases and balconies on every floor. Bed was comfortable. Although a bit small, kichen has all you need to cook and eat your own. Easily one of the cleanest and spacious hostels that I have stayed in... and Ive seen my fair share of hostels.

Congrats, you have it, the most friendly hostel in the best located area. And yes, you do not have to search for and compare with other hostels in the capital as this is THE gold-digger 😀 not far from the central bus station 15 mins walk), close to the new musque and the huge artificial garden of Tirana. Nice streets and neighborhood family run shop in the streets above the hilly side…plus, and foremost with the most friendly and helpful staff in town…and last 5 newborn kittens that welco...

Great hidden location. Quite and very cats friendly. Very helpful and friendly staff. Great balconies and big outdoor terrace 😜
