Receptionist was rude. He said he wanted to take all my money ?! Consulted with someone about the price for me ?
This is going on my list of hostels that clearly aren’t meant for women to feel comfortable in. The shower system doesn’t give you privacy or security. Inside the shower (hot water for less than 5 min), there are no hooks or shelves so you have to undress out of the shower behind a see through curtain that doesn’t “lock”. Multiple times while I was in the shower I could hear men opening and shutting the curtain as if they couldn’t hear that I was in the shower. Did not feel comfortab...
I feel sorry having to leave a negative review because the personnel were very kind, but unfortunately I need to report a serious safety concern. During my stay, the top bunk in my room partially broke, and part of it almost fell onto the lower bunk. Thankfully, nobody was injured, but this could have been very dangerous. I informed the hostel personnel and I hope the management will repair or remove the broken bed to prevent future incidents.
We had a good start at this hostel, but unfortunately, things took a disappointing turn on our first evening. The manager appeared to handle alcohol quite irresponsibly, which led to extremely inappropriate behavior on his part. He was very unfriendly and acted accordingly, leaving us feeling very disappointed, especially as it was our first evening in Tirana. Sadly, we cannot recommend this hostel at all.
Worst place…..rude, condensing and insulting staff could not care less about paying guests. Stay elsewhere…..just awful.
This was by far the worst airbnb i have ever experienced. Because my Dutch card wouldn't work to withdraw any cash i had to rebook. Iy wasnt easy too book another night. Airbnb wasnt coöperating either, so i booked my stay a day later due to availability. When returning to the Hostel after trying everything to solve this problem, i tried explaining the situation. Instead of compassion, i was shouted at untill i started crying and walked away. Sadly, this too was not respected as i, a solo trav...
War no more reckless Volume - Terror on enterprising tourists who have no money for Pub Crawl or similar and keep people from sleeping. At breakfast I was overtaken with a pre-made omelette with White Bread in it and I then got a painful Gluten Insufference Attack. Lunchtime I was then laughed at. The guys at the reception were usually drunk at noon. For Antialkoholige ein Greuel. Nichts für Damen. schon
Showers and Toilets were really clean and the free breakfast was delicious. However, our room (camper) had a few spiderwebs and was kinda falling apart. The staff was always super friendly and helpful. :))
Bed linen smelled of body fluid. A strange social vibe here. A lot of staff, most don't interact with the guests - only other staff. It's social among the guests, made some good friends here, but it feels kinda like you're intruding on the staff hang. maybe better if you stay for a few weeks
We booked a private room for two but unfortunately it turned out to be a camper, which was not mentioned anywhere on Hostelworld. We were here in March and it was quite cold. After taking a shower inside the main building, we had to walk back to the camper in our pyjamas. The camper had a hippie vibe but not in a good way. Everything was dirty and worn out. The bathrooms had no place to keep your clothes or pyjamas dry. I do not recommend this place. We cancelled our second stay, which we had pl...

Great hostel, the best staff. Cam, Ellie, Nico, Jacob were all amazing except Johnny…he was alright ;)
My second time at this hostel because I loved my stay last year! This year was wonderful as well: the place is clean, quiet, yet very social with lots of activities. Great showers, big lockers, free towels and breakfast, plus a lovely garden. Definitely the place to be in Tirana! The only downside was that some of the volunteers didn’t seem very friendly or welcoming (except Johnny, who was really caring). They also didn’t know much about the area when I asked for help.
Lovely people, lovely crew and a nice breakfast. Felt very welcome here 🙂
The most social hostel in the universe. Vicarious vibes. Sensual stay. Awesometastic atmosphere. All the volunteers were poggers. Ellie Cam Johnny Niko Sarah
It is so much fun, I came back for last night in Tirana. Because the staf was so kind especially Cam, Johnny, Ellie, and Kano. Every night there are events you can attend and it is so much funnn! The vibe is really homey inside, I felt really comfortable to be there. Just amazing really recommend. They also have a sister hostel and it’s called “blue door”!
Nice people. Good place. great value for money.
Wonderful hostel with lovely volunteers that make you feel right at home. Jacob, Ellie, Sara and Johnny were so welcoming and the communal dinner is a must-join.
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Lots of events to meet other people and just a great social vibe overall. Cool space too, quirky decor 👌
This hostel, conveniently located near the city centre, offers a variety of activities perfect for solo travellers looking to meet others. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming.
I've stayed in lots of hostels over the years and this one is definitely up there with the best. Great location, lovely breakfast and super welcoming and helpful staff. Sarah and Jacob were great :)
Lovely hostel and great price, staff were very friendly
Great hostel, that attracts friendly people. Social vibe instead of party orientated & they do a good BBQ on Thursdays!

Very friendly staff, they truly make you feel at home So much that its hard to travel to other places Thanks alot to Sarah, Ellie, Jacob, Ariel, Johnny and Nico ❤️
My stay at this hostel was great. Sarah, Johnny, Ellie, Ariel, Jacob and Nico were super helpful and knowledgeable about the city and things to do. I especially loved the tour and hike to Lake Bovilla. If I have to stay in an Albanian hostel then I would definitely choose the Bearded Dad Hostel.
This hostel is a great option for staying in Tirana. The staff is amazing!!! Also the free breakfast is great. There are lots of events put on by the hostel. Overall, I loved my stay and would definitely stay again.
great place to stay. Jacob and the team are excellent. a special mention to Johnny who is a super nice guy and was helpful throughout the whole stay. Credit to the team.
