when i was there the hostel was a bit empty, but the people running it are so kind. the location is far from the main streat but close to some pubs. All and all a great stay.

Lovely hostel and amazing staff. One shower in the shared area. The breakfast was simple yet effective and the shared area was lovely, it was quiet and not too social. It felt like staying with a local family :) I would just say the security for the dorm could be improved, and the bed i was in was very creaky.

Die host Familie war sehr nett und freundlich und half bei allen fragen weiter. Das Zimmer mit Doppelbett war inordnung. Das Frühstück war gut.

(En dortoir) Le gros + c’est la gentillesse des personnes qui accueillent ! Parlez avec eux ils seront vous conseiller sur les activités à faire selon vos envies! Le petit déjeuner est incroyable ! Possibilité de laverie, réserver excursion, louer un scooter. Je recommande très fortement

Sehr schönes, gemütliches Hostel in guter Lage mitten in Yogyakarta. Sehr viele Angebote wie Roller mieten und Ausflugsmöglichkeiten zu fairen Preisen. Die Hostelinhaberin ist ein wahrer Goldschatz, sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich und macht jeden Morgen frisches, extrem leckeres und abwechslungsreiches Frühstück für die Gäste. Alles in allem das beste Hostel unserer Indonesien-Reise, sehr zu empfehlen, nichts auszusetzen.

Very chill place with a calm atmosphere!

Really great stay. The staff were so helpful with any query we had regarding our onward travel plans. A lovely breakfast was made each morning and great coffee. Dorm room is quite basic & has no curtains on the top bunks but very comfy beds. Private rooms are also lovely. Would stay again

Ich habe drei Nächte im Dorm übernachtet. Der Aufenthalt war total schön. Ilfan und seine Familie sind sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Sie haben uns bei der Buchung von Touren unterstützt und für mich sogar noch spontan einen Platz bei der Tempeltour organisiert. Morgens gab es immer ein kleines, liebevoll hergerichtetes Frühstück. Der gemeinsame Aufenthaltsbereich ist sehr entspannt. Ich kann das Hostel empfehlen!

Enjoyed my stay at Rumah Kalpataru! Was not a social hostel so if that's what you're looking for, not the place. However, was very safe, clean, friendly staff, and a great place to stay and recoup!

Hele mooie stijlvolle kamers, schoon en ruim! Irfan en zijn vrouw zijn heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze staan altijd voor je klaar om je te helpen met plannen en vragen. Aanrader!!

the hosts are really friendly and make you feel welcome 🥰 they serve a nice breakfast and help you with everything you might need (booking trips, renting scooters etc.)

Cute and cozy place, you feel directly at home. The friendly owners offer many trips that you can do alone or in a group. The breakfast is also amazing! Could not wish for a better place to stay in Yogyakarta 🫶🏼

We LOVED this hostel! Everyone was soooo nice and welcoming! It felt so nice to be somewhere so homely. The location is perfect and everywhere is clean! Breakfast is really nice, with toast, fruit and traditional snacks for us to try! And sweets were on the table all day and night (big bonus😅) I felt so comfortable there from start to finish! Would 1000% recommend and stay again, thank you!!🩷

I really, really enjoyed my stay here! Fantastic location thats within walking distance (or short grab drives) to the main local attractions in Yogyakarta. A delicious breaksfast of toast, spreads, fruit, eggs and Indonesian snacks greeted us ever morning. It was so easy to book tours, and were all well priced. Curtains on beds, aswell! I cannot forget the most kindest family runs the hostel, always had a smile and were up for a chat!

We had a really great stay at Rumah Kalpataru. The dorm room was spacious enoigh for 6 people and the host family was very nice. They provided helpful information and prepared a nice breakfast. There’s lots of restaurants around that can be reached by foot. We enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back!
