Adhisthana Hotel Yogyakarta

- The staff was very unhelpful and rude. For early check-in you have to pay extra (for two hours) this is service every hotel is now offering for free as a courtesy to a guest, specially in more expensive hotels. We booked room by the pool but they put us in room far from the pool, only when we asked they replied that this room is same price and by the pool is not available, without any excuse or apology, after complaining they moved us to room by the pool the next day. The rooms are definitely not sound proof! There was noise at night around the hotel and as first night we were by the main hallway it was really noisy. For Yogyakarta this hotel is very expensive and I would expect much better service when you pay this much. Not worth the money!

- 1. Contratamos el servicio de traslado del aeropuerto al hotel, a través del mismo hotel. Servicio que nunca llegó 2. ROBO EN LA HABITACIÓN Nos robaron el dinero que teníamos en un monedero dentro de una maleta cerrada, porque la habitación no tenía caja fuerte. Ni solución, ni compensación, ni mucho menos disculpas Pusimos "una reclamación" en un folio 3. Pedimos una cerveza en el servicio de la piscina. Cerveza muy caliente que le indicándonos al camarero, ¿Solución? Meterla en el frigorífico durante 15 min y volver a entregarnos esa misma 4. La habitación olía mucho a humedad

- The room is small ur practically living in a closet. No space for luggage , no vanity table. The wall has leaking marks. The toilet is filthy. You can smell the toilet if the door is open. The shower drain gets clogged fast. After speaking to the staff, things just got awkward.

- The staff was unkind and didn’t bother to provide accurate information about the opening hours of the temples and because of that, we missed the Borobudur temple :( The room and the shower were dirty.

+ Insect Bites, Bed Bugs, Musty and Dusty Rooms, very Musty smell with mold in the entire room and toilet, decaying state of the hotel is really a turn off and ruins the experience. I’m writing this review hoping that they will improve the conditions of the hotel. The staff is incredibly good but there’s only so much they can do when the condition of the hotel is so bad

- I feel cheated by all the good publicity about this hotel we found online. Should have heeded the bad reviews. The room and bathroom were tiny and dingy. It looks a lot worse than in the photos. And the stench! The whole room smelled like a dank toilet. And the best part, there was no window anywhere in the room or bathroom! If we wanted to air the place out, we had to open the main door which is just ridiculous. Outside, by the pool it was noisy and full of cigarette smoke which was unpleasant, to say the least. The AC was just blasting and wouldn’t respond to the remote. It kept beeping but nothing changed. The breakfast was pretty much all gone by 9:30am as well. Not that we missed anything spectacular anyway, but still! It was horrendous. Definitely not worth the price. We cancelled our booking and left the next morning to go to another place that was only slightly more expensive. The upgrade was significant and we were so glad we left that stinky room behind.

+ Ligging

- Kamer stinkt, vochtig. Kleine kamers. Ontbijt is karig, alles is continu op. Ergste vonden wij dat hotel niets doet met de feedback die continue hetzelfde blijkt te zijn. Ook een trekpleister voor hordes met Nederlandse reisgroepen, niet voor ons weggelegd.

+ La litterie

- Le personnel d’accueil désagréable. Lorsque nous sommes arrivés on nous a expliqué qu’il y’avais des travaux donc des nuisances entre 9AM et 5 PM. Se qui n’était mentionné nul part avant là réservation. J’ai donc demandé une remise, d’autant plus que les prix avais étais réduit en dernière minute car basse saison et hôtel non complet. Refusé par l’hôtesse d’accueil. Nous sommes allés dans là chambre, et les travaux avais lieu dans là chambre juste à côté de là notre. Je suis donc immédiatement retourné à l’accueil lui disant que nous ne pouvons pas rester là et que nous souhaiterions où une annulation et remboursement, où un changement. Changement fais, moin de bruit, on nous offre en compensation, le repas du soir sous conditions. A prendre entre 6PM et 7 PM et surtout c’est le buffet du personnel d’hotel lol. Merci pour le cadeau mais nous sommes en vacances pour profiter, que sa sois par les repas où par les lieux, et celui ci fera parti de nos pire moment à Bali. Nous ne vous recommanderons pas autour de nous

+ The whole “riad” vibe was nice

- After travelling for over a month through all the Jaffa Island I have to say this accommodation was the worst. The smell inside the room was absolutely disgusting as well as the smell inside the bathroom. The pool water was not clean, the tables outside were always dirty, the quality of the food and drinks was poor. Also the breakfast was very poor and tasteless and the coffee terrible. After 3 nights we literally couldn’t sleep inside because of the smell which was getting worse and worse even if we tried keeping the door open all the time we were at the hotel (because there is no window) and asked them to move us to another room which smelled kinda bad as well. They didn’t clean the rooms daily which made the smell worse because of the wetness of the air and bathroom. And also, we found big cockroaches in the room during night time. Overall, it killed our vacation vibe and tried to stay out as much as possible.

+ Personal muy amable. El alojamiento estaba muy bien, la piscina era genial. El restaurante del hotel estaba bien si necesitas comer algo entre excursiones. Tuvimos que pedir el desayuno para llevar por una excursión, y estuvo muy bien preparado y completo.

+ Sehr hübsches Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Das Frühstück war auch reichhaltig.Sehr gute Lage.

+ La piscine centrale et très belle, sympa pour se reposer le soir ! Pleins de petits espaces pour s'installer, prendre l'apéritif et jouer. Chambre petites mais très sympa. Emplacement parfait, la rue parallèle au nord est super vivante !

- Bon, l'eau de la piscine pourrait être plus claire. Besoin de floculant 😊

+ Endroit calme dans une ruelle, une piscine au milieu du patio et un personnel accueillant. Dans la rue il n'y a pas grand-chose, mais dans 1 rue parallèle il y a plein de restaurants et bars. Bonne adresse pour visiter yogyakarta

+ Super vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Lekker restaurant en café bij het hotel. Ontbijt ook goed en fijne locatie met leuke straat om de hoek.

+ Lokasi strategis, kamar bersih meskipun aga kecil, sarapan lumayan, staff ramah

+ Pretty overall aesthetic of the property, refreshing pool, and friendly and welcoming staff who helped to arrange tickets and taxi service.

- The hotel is a bit ‘style over substance’. The furniture in the room and bathroom was not very practical for travellers (lacked hooks, shelves etc). No daylight in the room while keeping your privacy as the room windows face the open walkways accessible to staff and other guests. Our room was not well cleaned (e.g. hair on the floor in the shower from previous guests).

+ Globalement très satisfaisant, je recommande. Lits très confortables.

- Juste 2 remarques. La chambre avec lits jumeaux manque vraiment d’espace pour poser ses sacs: enlever une chaise serait judicieux. Et la climatisation est trop forte - le réglage ne marchait pas bien?

+ We only stayed for one night, but we really wanted to be there for longer. It was a tranquil oasis, with warm lighting, airy rooms and a very pretty pool. The hotel staff were great, too, and the neighbourhood was very trendy with lots on offer.

- It can get a little loud during call to prayer.
