The Ghee House

Honestly did not feel safe here as a solo female travel. Severe lack of atmosphere, the place almost looked abandoned and construction going on the outside. My assigned bed had stuff left over in it from the previous guest. Staff was friendly and bedrooms were nice, but severe lack of social atmosphere/people about.

Room is nice, but the bed its not confortable at all.

Had to extend a night in chiang mai and this place did the job for a good price. Lots of mosquitos in the corridor and a few in the room but the lady on reception gave us a zapper

Great location and the host, Dong was very knowledgeable. Only reason I marked the place down is due to the warm showers and mold on the bathroom ceiling.

Tucked away from some of the busier areas so very chill and private, which is what I was looking for. Room was a little small but was nice to have a deck access and the employees were very accommodating.

A nice place to stay for a couple of nights, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and there are good security measures in place so that only people with an access card can enter the hotel grounds at night. The bazaar is also within walking distance of the hotel. The only downside is that it is a little more expensive than other budget-friendly hotels.

We felt so safe and secure in our private room. Our host, Dang made sure we were comfortable every step of the way. It definitely felt like our own private oasis away from all the hustle and bustle on the main streets. Definitely a private home we would come back to on our next trip to a Chiang Mai.

Petit hotel parfait et bien entretenu. L’accueil chaleureux, le service de buanderie tout est facile. Nous avons loué un scooter pour la durée de notre sejour. Endroit très calme! Pas de bruit!! Derrière la grande rue et c’est sécuritaire. Le meilleur kiosque de crème pour les fringales de fin de soirée à 1 coin de rue! Ce n’est pas un hotel de party :) et c’est parfait hahaha

Lady who runs it was so lovely. We arrived very late and felt bad having to wake her up but she was still very nice and gave us a mini tour. Beds were comfy, very clean and great location. Definitely recommend!!

Relaxed, cozy guesthouse a short walk from the centre of town. Perfect place to stay for a couple of nights.

Clean, comfortable, had everything we needed. Quiet. Lovely balcony space. Friendly owner. Cats - an added bonus! Not a sociable set-up but we didn’t mind this too much. Location is great.

The woman who runs this property is amazing! She was so kind and thorough in making sure we had everything we needed. The cats around the property were very sweet too! We loved the room which was so clean and comfy, and the location was quiet and around good food, but only minutes from the bigger tourist stuff. We were glad to not be staying in the Old City, but could walk to it when we wanted.

Great value for a lovely, clean, spacious private room. Not a social hostel but that’s exactly what I wanted after previous party hostels. Lovely owner is very helpful and friendly.

the property is really nice, great value and the lady that runs it was lovely. There aren't any common space areas and there wasn't many other people there but it is off season, not a hostel for meeting people but a brilliant alternative to a hotel.

Loved our stay here! The family is so kind and helpful in booking stuff. The room is quiet and super clean and location is amazing to walk to everything in old town. Would stay here again and highly recommend. Definitely best for couples or those not needing to be social through the hotel.

This is a very nice hostel, the woman is very sweet and helpfull. We wanted to spent 2 nights here but we booked an extra 4 nights. This hostel is close to everything you want and still far enough away for a good night sleep. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very clean. I would recommand this to everybody.

I had a great stay here. The owner is very helpful, caring, and has great suggestions about the local area. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well equipped. I only found it a shame that the common area is not used much

This is a very nice hotel room at hostel prices. Highly recommend staying here, where it’s quieter and cheaper than mad monkey, and then walking over to mad monkey for the social vibes
