Tangmo House

I was really disappointed with my stay here given all the good reviews. I told the owner I’d like to rent a bicycle to cycle to Wat Pha Lat which was under 10km away. The owner said to walk the bike up and down the hill which I did. When leaving with the bike I noticed the brakes didn’t work very well so I drove very slowly and most of the journey there was up a slight incline so was ok. Great for a 1 night stop in Chiang Mai if you need to be close to the bus station and stay somewhere cheap.

Great value and lovely staff. Only flag is the ac doesn’t work too well and it gets hot.

Lovely thai couple who own the place. I had a private room for 4n and dorm for 1n and both were very nice and clean. Free water is given. Beds were comfy and there was air con. Slightly out of the way from town etc but food places and 7-11 nearby. Outside door locked at night and felt safe. Nice but small common area. Overall good stay.

Cute little hostel. A bit far from the center and the bathrooms could be cleaner. All in all very plesant stay. The hosts were very nice!

Vraiment bon rapport qualité prix. Le couple de propriétaire est incroyablement gentil. L’hostel est vraiment propre et très mignon. Il y avait une bonne ambiance quand nous y étions. Je recommande vivement cet hostel !

Really lovely stay! The couple that runs the hostel are so friendly, and the beds are very comfortable! Only thing I’d say is it’s not very social.

This is a great Hostel. Ann and Pakim are wonderful hosts. The beds are comfy. The bathrooms are very spacious and clean. There is free water and tea and a fridge. You can sit outside on the porch and enjoy the sun. I had a lovely time here!

My stay at Tangmo House was AMAZING! Everything from the location, to the facility, the other guests there and the beautiful owners were outstanding. The wonderful owners went above and beyond to make me feel right at home during my 1 week stay with them. I truly felt like I belonged there and that is really meant a lot to a nomadic traveler like myself. I know that other guest feel that same way. Tangmo House is the BEST hostel in Chiang Mai, hands down. I will be back! :)

This is by far the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. I booked two nights and ended up extending my stay by five more because it truly felt like home. Ann and her husband are incredibly kind and welcoming, always available for questions, and they keep the hostel spotlessly clean with daily cleaning and fresh towels. The location is perfect, close to great local restaurants, and there’s an amazing massage place right across the street. If you’re staying in Chiang Mai, I highly recommend this ...

Lovely host couple. Were very accommodating to a late check in, had good local recommendations, printed our visas for us too. Simple rooms, had curtains and lockers. Shared bathrooms were grand too. Would stay again, felt clean and was a convenient location

This is the best hostel you can go to. The owners are the nicest people ever. I came to Chiang Mai to train Muay Thai and I stayed in Tangmo House for 40 days and it felt like a home away from home for me. It‘s perfect

Tangmo House is fantastic! The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, making you feel at home right away. The place is super clean, comfortable, and clearly well cared for. I had an amazing stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a warm and relaxing place to stay.

Probably one of my best hostel experiences. Its quiet, comfortable, clean and the couple who run it are so friendly. I would definitely stay again.

I only stayed 1 night but had a good experience. Staff are so sweet and it had a really family feel. Nice rooms and amenities! Fridge and some basic kitchen things. It had everything for a great price. I left my luggage in the lobby all day and they watched it for me.. super appreciated that. Would def stay again

los dueños fueron muy amables y nos ayudaron en todo (búsqueda de tour, bebidas calientes , impresiones, paraguas y otros), definitivamente los recomiendo, es bastante céntrico y con acceso a muchos locales de comida , lo disfrutamos mucho

This hostel is so nice! The couple who run it are absolutely lovely and happy to help you with anything. The beds are comfy and have curtains all the way around. The location is about a 20 minute walk to the north gate. There are lots of restaurants and shops in the surrounding area.
