I made a booking and showed up the same day but the lady there said the room is already occupied and I don't have one. It was Dec31 and was very difficult for me to find another. Irresponsible behaviour. Foreigner was left on the street.
The owners were not friendly from the beginning, but after I checked out they were just so rude. I asked if I could leave my bags until 6pm and they agreed. At around 4pm I was near the hostel and I found out there was no one in reception and that my bags were left outside in the street!!! I called the owner asking for explanation and she basically hanged up on me. I have never experienced this lack of hospitality before. Very unprofessional and rude!
Frankly, the bed is useless as you sleep on a wooden plank, and there's no air-conditioning. We didn't dare set foot in a shower because it was so musty. The rooms are like brothels, as people seem to live in them all year round. Not to mention the stench! On top of that, the owners aren't exactly friendly: we'd booked for 4 and the owner told me she'd only received 2 beds, when I asked her to show me, she said there was no need... To be avoided! Prise en charge à l’accueil convenable. Odeur nauséabonde dans l’espace de douches/lavabos, qui est soit dit en passant, en plein milieu de l’hostel. Propreté très moyenne : lavabos cassés, crasse accumulée dans les lavabos et dans les douches. Il ne faut pas être très regardant sur le nettoyage des chambres éviter de faire tomber quoi que ce soit sous les lits, pas mal de surprises ! Matelas très durs et peu confortables. Pas de serviette comprise dans le prix. Café et gât...
Very average cleanliness: broken sinks, dirt accumulated in the sinks and in the showers. one must not be too careful about cleaning the rooms avoid dropping anything under the beds, not a few surprises ! very hard and uncomfortable mattresses. no napkin included in the price. coffee and cakes available
Honestly had there been other hostels available I would’ve gone somewhere else. The bathrooms were gross, the beds were the hardest I’ve ever slept on, and there’s no social vibe here. Only pro is that it’s in the old town- but even then it’s a little far from the action and where the other hostels are.
