Tam Coc Golden Sky Homestay

I’m very disappointed. I chose this hostel based on reviews praising the friendly hosts. + Good location and breakfast. - Rude male owner who seemed annoyed by my presence, sighing during check-in at 5:30 pm. He seemed to be only concerned about money. He asked me just for payment and gave no information about the city. - Dorm room and bathrooms smelled of dampness and sweat. No windows in the room or in the showers (which were in the room), no way to ventilate. The room wasn’t even full.

actually okay stay but the staff was rude and treated us like an ATM especially the husband seem off. location good and nice clean bathroom in the hostel but kitchen and pool and breakfast area disgusting. would rather stay somewhere else

The 8 person dorm was packed and smelled bad. I wanted to change rooms, which they helped me with, but I still had to pay for both. Breakfast was good, rooms were clean! However, the male host seemed more focused on getting money from you than in you having a good stay. He asked us various times if we already booked tours and if we already paid for it, otherwise we could book everything with him. He was really pushy about it, but he hasn't asked once if we had a good stay. Would not go back.

It was a fine homestay, but in the dorms it was a bit Dusty at the fan and also at the light. But the hosts are very sweet

Very central to Tam Coc, with cheap readily available scooters n bikes to get around surrounding areas. Wouldn’t call it social or w to much atmosphere definitely one on the quieter side. Great breakie and super clean.

A nice quiet hostel run by a nice family. Not loads in the way of stuff to do and they don’t create an atmosphere where people can easily mingle. If you’re a solo traveller I would definitely go somewhere else, but it’s a nice quiet central spot for couples etc.

Enjoyed my stay, and the staff was really nice. My bed was pretty uncomfortable in my private room, and I didn’t sleep well. The room was clean and had amenities like tv, hot water, ac.

owner was very kind and helped me plan the activities for my trip! they also let me shower right before my night bus which was great. 2 nice bathrooms in the dorm room

I could not have asked for a better experience in Ninh Binh. The host welcomed me warmly, helped plan an amazing itinerary, and booked great activities. The homestay was very clean, well-located, and peaceful. When my bus back to Hanoi airport was delayed due to traffic, they helped me cancel and arranged a shared taxi so I could make my flight. I felt truly cared for and had a wonderful stay.

I had a great time staying in one of the bunk beds in the mix room, and everything I needed was right there. The folks who run this place are super nice and helpful; they even helped me with my transport, book tours, and rent bikes. Plus, breakfast was delicious and had everything I needed to kick off the day. I’m really happy with my stay!

It was a great stay! Very nice and helpful host, she gave me great recommendations and helped me a lot in my planning! I had a private room which was amazing! Also the location and the offers were great and a very good price (bike, scooter, laundry, etc)

Ausgezeichnetes Hostel!

We had a lovely stay. We booked the room an hour before arrival but everything was as it should be. The room was good and clean. The owner was really nice and even gave us some fruit and snacks in the morning because we had to catch a bus and therefor missed breakfast. Overall a lovely stay. Would go back.

Booked a private room for a night. Great stay, ac on the whole day, lovely owners and the included breakfast was amazing. Would recommend staying here however you may struggle to meet people if travelling solo.

Rooms are amazing and clean, on par with a hotel. Host is incredibly kind and helpful. Location is perfect as it is both quiet and very close to the main drag where the restaurants/bars are. The common area/pool is decent, though no one really used it while I was there

Great homestay to stay at! The location is very central and the staff are the best. The complimentary breakfasts are some of the best I’ve had in Vietnam and they’ll help you plan your time there.

Top Hostel, ze waren super behulpzaam, konden alles regelen van was tot scooters,treinkaartjes. En ik kon om 3:30 al terecht vanuit de slaapbus om vervolgens later pas in te checken, dat was heel fijn. Joan is een topper en locatie ook perfect. Rustig maar wel midden in het centrum

The staff were super helpful and the location is amazing. I personally did not find it super social but I also wasn’t there for that long. Would stay there again though

Von allen Homestays / Hostels, in denen ich bis anhin war, hat mir dieses mit Abstand am besten gefallen. Es ist alles super durchdacht und organisiert, die Inhaber sind super nett und hilfsbereit und ich durfte sogar nach dem Check-Out nochmals duschen, das Frühstück ist ebenfalls sehr lecker und die Lage ist perfekt. Kann dieses Homestay nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

This was by far the best homestay we’ve stay at in Vietnam, could not recommend enough. The owners were so accommodating and really went above and beyond to help us. They let us check in early, were excellent with our laundry very helpful with planning excursions and giving us advice on where to go and what to do. Also the free breakfast was incredible. Overall just such a kind and generous family really shows the beautiful hospitality and generosity of Vietnamese culture.

Great homestay, very well located in Tam Coc. The dorms were very clean and the bathrooms modern. There’s a pool and a pool table, which are nice extras. Breakfast offers a good variety and is very generous. The staff are extremely helpful and attentive — I rented a scooter through them in less than 30 minutes, and they even drove me to the bus station for free on my departure day. Highly recommended.
