As cotos estavam um pouco diferentes do ambiente real: muita madeira entulhada e com isso na nossa hospedagem apareceram duas baratas, o que foi bastante desagradável. As roupas de cama não estavam limpas e não tinha ventilador ou ar condicionado, tive que pedir um ventilador emprestado. Foi apenas uma noite, mas não recomendo
The cotos were a little different from the real environment: a lot of wood was chopped and so in our accommodation two cockroaches appeared, which was quite unpleasant. as the bed linen was not clean and there was no fan or air conditioning, I had to borrow a fan. it was only for one night, but I don't recommend it.
Wir wollten nur eine Nacht bleiben, sind angekommen und das ganze Zimmer war voller fliegender Ameisen. Auf den Betten, in den Decken überall. Es war so ekelig. Der Besitzer hat uns dann noch ein privatzimmer für den gleichen Preis angeboten. Das war zwar etwas besser, aber auch dort waren an den Wänden überall Viecher. Wir haben dann letzendlich das Hostel gewechselt, weil wir kein Auge zu bekommen hätten. Das Geld wurde trotzdem von meiner Karte abgezogen. Also überhaupt nicht zu empfehl...
We only wanted to stay one night, we arrived and the whole room was full of flying ants. On the beds, on the decks everywhere. It was so disgusting. The owner then offered us a private room for the same price. That was a little better, but there were ants all over the walls there too. We then finally changed hostel, because we couldn't get an eye. The money was deducted from my card anyway. Also not recommended at all.

The hotel is not signposted outside, and no one in the neighborhood seems to know it. We searched for an hour. When they finally answered the phone and then opened, we didn't feel safe. Two men were there, surprised and disturbed by our arrival, nothing resembled a hotel. After a long moment of playing piano on their phones without talking to us, one of them said the hotel was full and we had to leave. It was 8:30 p.m.
This was the first and worse hostel I have stayed in. I am in costa Rica for 6 weeks and if I could have in himsight chosen a different hostel, I would have enjoyed my stay a lot more. First the beds are infested with termites, the owner appears to be nice, but he's a liar and a thief! I couldn't stand being there anymore and left. I was promiswd a refund for the nights I had remaining and never got it! Please avoid this place for your peace of mind, I still have the pics as evidence.
Where do I start. There’s no sign outside of the hostel, you have no idea where the hostel is. You’re staying in a room next to the living room of the owner. I booked a private room with my partner, they offered me to stay in a dorm in a bunk bed, as they said they got double booked. It’s chaotic, there’s NO chillout area, seems like they’re currently renovating. We left the accommodation before I could see more. Wtf
NOT "SUPERB" as rated! Staff friendly, but accomodations bad! 6 bunks crammed in small room. Bunks creaky, felt dangerous to climb up & down. no space for bags. tripped on people's stuff that they had no room to stow. the room was right next to kitchen/couch (only common area) where 2 staff talked very loudly with a guest late at night. breakfast was good but no milk for coffee. the table was small so we ate in shifts. I stayed one night in transit. I'd only stay again if I had no other option.

Mauvais. A voulu me faire dormir dans un lit déjà utilisé. Ne correspond pas à la description. Aussitôt arrivé, aussitôt reparti.
Bad. wanted to put me to sleep in a used bed. does not match the description. as soon as it arrived, immediately left.
El host fue amable e informativo en el bus desde el aeropuerto, y el desayuno estuvo muy rico. Sin embargo, la limpieza fue pobre. Debajo de las sábanas, había mucha polilla y la sabana estaba manchada. También deben considerar que este lugar es smoke friendly antes de hacer tu reservación.
The host was friendly and informative on the bus from the airport, and the breakfast was very rich. however, the cleanliness was poor. under the sheets, there was a lot of moth and the savannah was stained. you should also consider that this place is smoke friendly before making your reservation.
I booked a room at this hostel. When I arrived they told me that they don‘t have a bed for me. So they drove me to a different hostel where I didn‘t really feel comfortable. They made me pay way more than what was said on Hostelworld. There were only old men there and no community atmosphere. I didn‘t go out because people told me the surroundings aren‘t really safe. Luckily I took a shuttle the next morning and didn‘t have to stay longer.

Decent hostel, I wouldn't book again but no major complaints to note. Good for one night crash.

Lovely hostel with great staff and a nice breakfast
The hostel was really nice! The owner and the staff were really heIpful. I came back late with the bus one evening and the owner even offered to pick me up from the station so I don’t have to walk alone in the night. The breakfast was also really good!
Convenient stay! Just around the corner from the bus station and a large súper market. Clean and has large full kitchen available to guests. Very pleasant stay.

nice family and they are knowledgeable and very helpful. one feels at ease in their secured home. City bus service two blocks away. Amenities are just as they describe.

flexible and helpful for airport rides event at night! The beds are not the most comfortable ones but for the price they do the job. Also very noisy at night and a window seemed kinda broken but I didn’t ask. The bathroom is clean. In the morning they serve you a delicious breakfast and all the owners are very friendly and give you the best advice. Very good to start your journey around Costa Rica.
Great location to catch public transport to the airport, walking distance grocery store and affordable food places. The host's are so nice they really make you feel at home, breakfast and coffe was excellent.

Perfect for one night. The Staff were all really nice and the breakfast was delicious. The beds are really basic and the enterance is quite difficult to find. For that price it’s totally fine though.

I had a great stay and Warren was very supportive and made it very easy to go around for me ☺️
We bleven 2 nachten met gezin van 5 in hostel. Handig gelegen naast stadspark, ideaal voor kinderen . Ook maar 30 minuten stappen van centrum. Supervriendelijke eigenaars die met alles wilden helpen. Ook het luchthavenvervoer ( midden in de nacht) was top!
We stayed 2 nights with a family of 5 in hostel. Conveniently located near the city park, ideal for children. also only 30 minutes walk from the center. superfriendly owners who wanted to help with everything. also the airport transfer (midnight) was top!
Buena atención de la gente que vive ahí. La relación calidad/precio está muy bien

Für eine Nacht, beispielsweise vor oder nach dem Flug völlig ausreichend, für einen längeren Aufenthalt würde ich ein anderes Hostel wählen. Ich hätte das Hostel beinahe nicht gefunden, weil es hinter einem Hohen, blickdichten Zaun liegt und auch die Klingel nicht beschriftet ist. Im Dunkeln wirkte das ganze etwas gruselig. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle freundlich. Allerdings wirkte es ein wenig ramschig, weil insbesondere im Bad viel Zeug rumstand, das scheinbar niemandem mehr gehörte.
For one night, for example before or after the flight completely sufficient, for a longer stay I would choose another hostel. I would have almost not found the hostel, because it is behind a high, blindfolded fence and even the bell is not marked. In the dark the whole thing seemed a little creepy. The staff were all friendly. However it seemed a little clumsy, because especially in the Bad rum stand a lot of stuff that apparently belonged to no one anymore.
Fine for a night, the hostel is within a family home which was fine as the family were very friendly. Breakfast ingredients were provided (rice and eggs) and we prepared our own eggs in the fairly well stocked kitchen. Room felt very basic and no lockers or storage facilities/lockable doors. The beds were uncomfortable so not the best sleep, but close (ish) to the airport and next to a big super market.
