MEININGER Venezia Mestre

Reserve y no pude llegar y me cobraron un anticipo de 30 euros cosa que no tengo problema porque yo no pude llegar al hospedaje pero al final me cobraron el hospedaje completo que fueron 109 euros pero traté de cancelarlo y ni la aplicación y por correo me dejaron cancelarla aparte que decía que el resto se pagaba directamente en el hospedaje

I am a female and I was travelling with my female friend and we got put in a room full of middle aged men even though it was obvious the hostel was not very full at all. One of the men was snoring the loudest i have ever heard and kept us up almost all night.

Der Frauenschlafsaal war sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig – die Betten stehen so eng, dass es sich wie ein Doppelbett mit einer fremden Person anfühlt. Zudem ist es sehr hellhörig, und das Waschbecken für die Toilette im Zimmer sorgt für zusätzliche Störungen. Absolut unverschämt war die teure Gepäckaufbewahrung – so etwas habe ich in einem Hostel noch nie erlebt! Positiv: Es war sehr sauber. Und ich konnte eine Stunde eher einchecken.

Booked this stay months prior to staying here yet was separated from my travel partner. This would be understandable if it was a last minute booking but it was not. They assigned her a shared bed with a complete stranger. Staff were unhelpful, one was quite rude. We ended up leaving- very disappointed. S

Pesimo servicio del personal. No ayudan, no hablan, no te reciben bien. Pésima estadía.

Bed bugs. I have never experienced such bad bites as this place, it has affected the rest of my trip and I’m incredibly unhappy about it.

Había un menor de edad en el viaje, nos dijeron que era imposible que un menor de edad se quedara en un cuarto compartido y que teníamos que comprar un cuarto a parte. Les preguntamos si no había otra solución y nos dijo la gerente que no. Cuando habíamos pagado el cuarto, otra persona que trabajaba ahí nos dijo que si había solución y era entregando una carta firmada por el papá autorizando que si se podía quedar. Pésimo, decepcionante

Very big hostel with a hotel feel, no sense of community. Kitchen was reasonable though they have an induction stove without pots/pans that can be used on that stove and a limited number of conduction plates to use to cook with (just buy pots and pans that work with the type of stove you have!) - also signs up everywhere for no outside alcohol allowed - just trying to get you to buy only from their bar, not a very “hostel vibe”

Overall the hostel is okay, but unfortunately, we got a roommate, which was drunk and really depressed, we were scaried a little bit. I don't think that's the right place for young people to meet new friends.

Best hostel I've ever stayed in. Honestly couldn't believe it at first. Minutes from all public transit, and 10/10 rooms with lockers, space, bathrooms, cleanliness, everything. Just felt like a nice hotel. Wish I could have stayed longer.

The bathrooms and rooms were extremely clean! The facilities were big and well-kept. The only complaint I had is that we had to pay for bag storage, and it was a bit expensive. I felt very safe and comfortable as a female traveler.

Perfect location for visiting Venice as a very quick and easy walk from the train station. Was very clean and tidy and perfect for my trip.

female bedroom of 4 was huge and spacious although the beds were too close to each other, the bathroom and everything was super clean and new.

Muy bien ubicado si quieres tomar bus o tren para ir a Venecia, habitaciones amplias y muy limpias. Se escucha el tren inclusive con las ventanas acústica pero es normal.

Besides the shower having more mood swings than my ex it was good

Era nuestra primera experiencia en un hostal todos juntos, y fue maravilloso!!! La atención, la comida, la ubicación, ambiente y el personal. Fue increíble todo. Definitivamente lo recomiendo, y cuando vuelva a viajar ya sé que hostales buscar!

Es un lugar muy lindo, incluso para ir con niños. Fuimos con amigas y solo pasamos una noche en el hostel, pero todo estuvo de diez. Queda al lado de la estación de trenes, lo que hace que sea muy práctico llegar al centro de Venecia (10/15 minutos aproximadamente).

Staying at Meininger Mestre was one of the best decisions we made during our trip. The hostel is located in Mestre, the mainland around the center of Venice. It's a 5 min walk to the Venezia Mestre Station, where everything is avaible : trains, buses, flixbuses ... etc. The facilities were very clean and the rooms were impeccable. We were in a female only dorm so that made us feel very safe but we also felt the same in the shared spaces. The staff are great and overall this hostel is the best !!

Hermoso hostel a pocos metros de la estación de tren que en 10 minutos te deja en Venecia Santa Luzia. Muy recomendable!!

Estuve dos noches en habitación de 4 chicas. La habitación muy limpia, con toallas y sábanas. Buen espacio para las maletas, fue silencioso y pude dormir muy bien. El desayuno incluido fue un buffet delicioso, me encantó. Lo recomiendo, en tren queda a 15 minutos de venecia y es seguro.

my one night stay here was fine. nothing to do with the actual property but i was placed in a room with noisier people. overall the stay was fine. very close to the station also to cross over to the island.

Very convenient for groups or those wanting to travel to Venice but don't want to stay on the actual island of Venice. Easily accessible transit from the hostel. Some signs of overuse here and there, especially within the rooms, but generally very clean. Atmosphere was alright, but didn't pay much attention since we were only there for a day. Would recommend

Great experience, the staff were so friendly and kind.

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed at! I felt completely safe as a solo female traveler, my room was fantastic, and the staff were wonderful. The dorm-style beds are very comfortable, with high-quality in room facilities. I kept waiting for a catch, because it felt like I was getting much more than my money’s worth, but one never came. Thanks for the great stay!

Extremely clean and modern, short walk to the train station and a 10 minute ride to Venice. Towels included. I saw reviews about the train area being sketchy but I felt completely fine (though I was never out after 8pm). The hostel wasn’t super social which was fine with me but something to note if you’re looking to meet people. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Staff was really professional but very friendly The rooms (4 beds) are very spacious with a toilet and a bathroom, as well as a second sink in the entrance of the room, meaning we were never waiting for access. The locker feature is great if you don't go into the island, as Mestre station does not have any lockers. The room was clean when I arrived, and cleaned the next day. Near a supermarket, the train station and some good restaurants.

Great place to stay for a night before heading to the island. Great value for money, highly recommend.
